Good story for you told to me by my grandmother in Ireland.
In WW1 an officer in the trenches into the occult asked his friend to accompany him at nighttime to an area away from the troops .He said I'm going to show you that the devil exists.
But, don't bring anything religious with you not even your sword as the handle and blade resemble a crucifix. The friend complied but forgot he had his miraculous medal on his pocket watch chain .
After making a circle in the dirt the guy who brought him there suddenly became engulfed in flames and could not leave the circle, he died but his friend wearing his miraculous medal lived .

Only he wasn't the janitor he was the owner of a large Real Estate complex and he had a mansion on a Miami Beach island with two yachts anchored out back. He awarded me contracts to do work on all of it because I wasn't in too big of a hurry to be kind to "the janitor".

Great story, Michael. I was raised to always treat everyone with respect from the waiter to the CEO. It pays off so much to build and maintain relationships as you said. Funny story: I was working as a filing clerk for a title insurance company in Greenlawn, Long Island. One day, the CEO was eating lunch and I noticed he was eating Egg Drop soup. Without hesitation, I pointed to his soup and said “Look, it’s liquid cat” (Chinese restaurant joke). He broke down laughing so hard. I ended up getting a nice bonus that year I was there. My point is that we can use all the tools we have, humor, etc to win over people. Humor has helped me tremendously over the years to build relationships and keep things fun. I hope you have a nice weekend. God bless!!

I might go off of subject and I apologize for that. My family was real good friend's with Frank Sinatra in the early 70's. It was before my time. I was born in 78. My uncle Robert Quaid was business partners with Peter Epstein in Palm Springs during the early 70's and they knew Frank Sinatra. My father was a porter at that time and use to deliver cars to Frank Sinatra's house. Frank and his son use to go to the car store all the time and my uncle use to have lunch with him. Frank, really liked my uncle Bob and my Uncle had to testify for him in court because someone at the restaurant tried reaching for Frank, so his body guard punched the guy in the face and my uncle was right there with Frank. Again it was before my time, but I always remember the stories. I really enjoy your channel Mr Franzese because you're very intelligent. I have great respect for you and for the content you put out. My family is now in the Harley Davidson business in Loma Linda after selling there last car store in the Inland Empire.

I love how subtle Franzese is with not relaying private info. He does it with ease, he’s a master at the art of segueing in his storytelling . Anyway when telling us about the swapping of stories with the millionaire. He gracefully said he “couldn’t recall “ what exactly they(the stories)were about. lol Clearly… I just thought it was a cool observation.

  • @dannoand9426

Micheal it's a pleasure to be able to listen to the story you told today. I have watched many of the documentaries about the Mafia and the history of where it started and the men that lived and died along the way. My Mother's parents came from Italy to America around 1905 to escape the poverty and corruption that made life in southern Italy pretty terrible. So they hoped to find a better life in America. Since neither of them spoke any english they relied on the Italian community for work and where to live. My Grandfather was part of the black market chain moving product all around PA.- Ohio-and the No.East States as well as Canada.
My Mom's oldest sister was Married to Uncle Albert, who was in the insurance business. But the whispers of his connection to the Mob were just out of sight. Uncle Albert was always gone 2-3 days at time. He never talked about what he did, he would just deflect and change subject. All this made me very interested in the Mob. The true stories and history stuff are very interesting to me. So obviously I have seen your history as a made man how you as a young man made a fortune in the bootleg gas market. Your father Sonny, (nickname) was a long time made man before you. It's been a long time since I watched your story so I might be off on some of the facts and apologize for that. But I remember your scheme for the gas distribution was your idea and not ever done before. It was so profitable that it made your rise to Capo another first. This caused a rift with your Dad. But can't remember the details. I remember at least a couple more productions you have been in telling the stories. I liked you and your stories right from the start.
My Father was a great story teller and I have been told I am as well. My stories are like yours in that the stories are tell are all true events of my life. Maybe someday I can share with you. I have posted some on facebook, I call them my "NO SHIT STORIES". People seem to like them enough to ask me to tell one. Lol. So I will tell a story and end it with "NO SHIT". Well Thank you for sharing your stories, kind regards. Daniel Anders.

This was good to listen to, great advice. Maybe 10 years ago at work, new guy started one morning, he'd moved from the USA to the UK the week before, he had the job lined up before he came over. We instantly got on well with eachother, and knowing that he didn't have any friends or family here I'd invite him to join my crew for lunch and drinks after work. He's a great guy, we became friends.
The last year with the covid work has been really hard to get, that guy from a decade ago got in contact a couple weeks back and I'm sitting here working for him right now, really nice of him to look me up and give me some work.
So I guess the moral of the story is be kind, polite and gracious with people that you meet. You never know what that relationship might bring you in the future.

What opens my eyes was talking to a guy named Tony urso green in fci mckeen. Had some good talks with him and some others but that made me realize that i need to change before I got big time like them

hi michael i have a couple of three suggestions for episodes:
    1. cooking! do an italian cooking episode, preferably with your family at home in your kitchen, i promise people would looooove that. actually you could do an entire series of cooking episodes.
    2. talk about the italian language, how many spoke it or understood it. how much do you speak it yourself, did your dad speak it fluently? what was the relationship to the "zips" ?
i know that sammy told one story where he got into a very serious situation with one of the zips that tried to shake him down. where in italy is your family from? and how many times have you been to italy?
    3. make an episode all about religion and your relationship with god maybe a discussion with a priest or someone else who was a criminal and then found god like yourself.
    cheers

My family after coming over from Italy settled in Hoboken, NJ, he would hang out with my Grandfather down at the waterfront. I was told years later that Frank's name was supposed to be Albert, but it got screwed up while being christened. Sometime in the 1980s, my sister was dating a band member that occasionally would play with Frank when Frank was playing locally. Well, Frank was playing Atlantic City and my sister was introduced to Frank from her date before the show. Frank told my sister that her last name sounded familiar and my sister told Frank about our family living close to him in Hoboken. Frank was so nice and wanted to hear more and asked my sister to come to his after-show party. Sadly, that never happened because Frank after the show was rushed to the hospital he almost died. He had a colostomy.
