Nice review thanks, you said no abs on this model but I noticed that there are abs rings on both disc's, are these just for show or because they are generic disc's across the range?
Yes, The bike is available with ABS although it is not standard on all Scout bobber models. Top end speed is just over 120 mph due to a governor (Speed limiter). I hear that for about 1000 USD you csn bypass the limiter. Not sure if I want to LOL It is fast enough for me :)
That's an aftermarket exhaust in case anyone was wondering, those are the crusher exhausts. I had them for about 2 week on my scout before I couldn't take it and put the stock back on.
@@thephantomzoneboxing No. Modern cars and trucks are so sound isolated that they might or might not hear you. And if they do, it'll probably be a noise that they can't identify the direction it's coming from and are likely to ignore. It hasn't been studied all that much, but what little there is shows people with loud pipes get into just as many accidents as people without. @@kendil22 hmmm i see i think the van hines is the best bet for the indian as far as being loud but tame from what im hearing..im getting a lil into the motorcycle world now lol
The difference for me between the Indian and the Triumph Bonneville Bobber is the Belt Drive. Time is valuable, so for me it is about simplicity of maintenance as well.
I own a 2024 Scout Bobber and have no regrets. Vance and Hines twin slash cuts, Corbin seat with diamond pattern, and Bob short stem mirrors. Beautiful bike if I do say so myself....... However, I could use a jacket like yours, in black, to complete the picture!
I could imagine riding that on a hot day on the open roads of California but on the tight twisty roads of the UK I'm not sure any cruisers make sense, especially one with so little ground clearance. Now the FTR looks a better proposition, more practical and still that great looking V twin.
This bike always catches my eye, and was really curious on your review of it. Unfortunately I think it's just too low for our Welsh country bends. But I still just want one, prob because of looks and sound. Such a cool bike. Its my 'if had the money bike', as a 2nd or 3rd bike in the garage 😅 Great review bud 🤙
It looks great! It would definitely be the cruiser I'd buy if I had remotely close to 12k! I've owned quite a few cruisers and the key is slow in, fast out. Give it the beans from the apex and laugh at the engine noise, torque and scrapping pegs. There is a lot of satisfaction riding a cruiser, knowing you couldn't possibly go faster, rather than riding a sportsbike knowing that you really only dare give it 20%. Unless your on a track, under 500cc or stupid.
I know you boys in the UK and he EU get put out by the forward controls and having your knees spread like you are visiting the gyno, but you look pretty badass riding that bike. Plus, a few good good high speed trips will really help you build up those biceps, chest and lower back. Why do you think the Harley guys looked so jacked (hench)? :-) Plus in the Summer having your thighs spread wide funnels air flow to your nuts.
Been looking forward for this review of yours... after Robert's post on Insta 😁😅 I'm particularly fond of a "buff" customisation shown by MAX-the-hench 🤣 at the BSMC October'2018 Anyway, excellent work Tim as always ✊🏼👊🏼 Stay safe, take care, have fun, keep on riding! Maybe when I’m old and grey and tired of naked bikes I’ll retire to something like this. For now I’ll stick to an mt07. Just so much more fun to be able to pop a wheelie anywhere at any time.
Beautiful bike; probably the best-looking engine there is. And overall, the best-looking cruiser on the market. But I don't like feet-forward. I hope you get the opportunity to review the forthcoming Rebel 1100.
I would love to see Indian making a Scout R(Scout not the Bobber) which would have the front end from the FTR with duble Brembos up front and a bit more travel in the rear so it would have a bit more lean angle. And that would be a perfect bike for me baysicy a HD Street Rod 750 but with Indian Scout 1200 looks FTR front end and a bit more lean angle! I recon it would be epick! Grate vidoe as usual Buddy keep em coming!!
Do you think it is good for long rides? Some North American reviewers have said it gets uncomfortable after a while due to the seating position. Your thoughts?
Good review. Shape of bike looks good, I like the sound . Your comments about ground clearance and the seat are a bit off putting, not that I intend to go around corners like a MotoGP rider but still I do get a bike over a bit sometimes ! The FTR 1200 does look a bit more appealing to me.
I almost bought one of these, but as you mentioned, when I accelerated hard or when I was above 60 miles per hour, I felt like I was going to fall right off the back of it. Everything else about it I really liked. I ended up getting a V-Rod which has more power and I think overall a better motorcycle. This one is a very good one though. The knobby tires do hamper the ride quality.
New seat and suspension, and removal of the front light cover . I would do that first. Possibly front indicators would go and get replaced by LEDs and main lamp LED too
Nice review! Too bad the suspension is not made for Belgian roads, but lovely V-twin nonetheless. Contrary to the Triumph Bobber, it still looks cool with a rider on it.
How far can this wild horse take you ? 😃 The engine is quite thirsty and fuel tank capacity is less than adequate Nonetheless, gorgeous bikes like these make us think outside the logic 😊
All over at 6000rpm? Did you actually ride the thing? Peak torque is at 6000 rpm but peak HP doesn't come in all the way up to 8,100rpm. What I actually like about this bike is that coming from sports machines the engine revs and revs much your used to, something like a Harley is mostly low down so you have to short shift which can feel odd and different. Take this bike out again when it's hot and dry, rev the balls off it and its super super fun.
Man are you even a biker ? Top speed of this bike is 128 mph , and it has good top end for the style of bike if your going to do a review get the facts right
Nice review thanks, you said no abs on this model but I noticed that there are abs rings on both disc's, are these just for show or because they are generic disc's across the range?
Sorry you are right I made a mistake, it's got no rider modes or TC but ABS is a requirement in Europe I believe. Thanks for spotting it.

Another cracking review. I think you draw out the positives (and negatives) of each bike in a very positive and passionate way.

By far the most informative non-biased review I’ve seen. Thank you!
Phenomenal review! And the upgraded bars are a great touch! Like seeing it more than the common mini apes.

Gold top Bobber leather jacket made in UK. Around $500.00 U.S.

Both Goldtop. The jacket is called a bobber funnily enough but I can't remember the name of the gloves.

Quick question. What handlebars are on the bike, as they don’t look stock.

The FTR is definitely my preference, that bike works really well in the UK
Another good review Tim. Honest, straight talking. Why you haven't got 30-60k subscribers I don't know🤔🤷🏻♂️
Thanks Ross
FYI the FTR engine is crap with the stock tune. That's why it felt hesitant. With an aftermarket tune, it becomes an awesome bike.
I'd like to try that
How is the beach handlebar.. is it really comfort....

If you thought the FTR was sluggish, I'm guessing you never put it in sport mode.

What exhaust is installed?

Appalling ground clearance on that ' Hench' bike though.

Hi would you compare it to the Guzzi V7 ?
Probably not, they're very different machines
New to riding but love this bike
I'm guessing you wouldn't buy one of these over the Moto Guzzi sport bobber?
I haven't ridden that yet so it's hard to say. I might go for this though.
