2:20 “What song is this that’s playing?” That’s the song Wendy recommended in her show, SNSD’s “Way to Go”. She said it gave her strength as a trainee. The song makes me feel nostalgic 🥺.
One thing is for sure, no one has a right to doubt SOSHIBOND. Just because we didn’t know the real reason of departure, putting words to the girls’ mouth will never be right. Also, the girls proved that they treated each other as sisters and as a family. I started being a fan since they started and from that moment you can see and feel that their love for each other is genuine. They really care for each other.
Somehow this video captured entirely how it feels to be a Sone... Getting to see your favourite idols having fun, laughing with them, and then after a while you take a step back and realise that the entire industry is admiring them, and they're truly the nation's girl group, stars among stars. Perhaps you hear the tale of how they worked hard to go from 2008 Black Ocean to 2013 Pink Ocean. And then one day, your heart is ripped out to hear that Jessica has departed the group... But even so, SNSD will continue forever :')
that part where snsd stated that fans boycotted them in dream concert was the time where snsd performed there and all the fandoms esp. the boygroup fandoms boycotted snsd by turning off their lightsticks making a black ocean out of the stadium and those fandoms started shouting "wonder girls!" but despite of that there's a tiny patch of sones waving their lightsticks in the side of the stadium... i think in the view from the stage it wasn't visible at all, but it's still heartwarming to have sones who supported them inside the stadium... that event is one of the most tragic moments in kpop as that time every fandom hated snsd so much
They are always emotional on their concerts. It shows how much they appreciate their every moment with Sones. That's the reason why I stan this group. They are the softest and purest heart. Their bonds are indestructible and unbreakable. Their love for their fans are incomparable.
Yes this video takes a serious turn and its a good recap of the struggle and journey SNSD went through. I just finished the video but I'm going to re-watch it and explain a few things :-) 1:50 those clips are from an episode of "Hello Baby", It was Seohyuns birthday and they decided to do a hidden camera prank where they pretended to have a fight with each other but surprise her with a birthday party at the end 2:22 Yes! One of my favorite SNSD songs its called "Way to Go" and was released around the time of Gee. Its such a fun rock sounding song and I recommend you listen to it :-) 7:07 Sooyoung was originally teamed up with Seohyun and Jessica but then made the valid argument of how its the worst combination for a team (Seohyun just a follower, Sooyoung is stupid, and Jessica doesn't run) so they decided to re-pick the teams. Jessica and Seohyun both re-picked yellow so whoever picked yellow was with the 2 members no one wanted. Yoona picked yellow which is why everyone was laughing 7:33 these clips are talking about multiple incidents where they were fighting and saying "You're dying, I'm dying" in a previous clip Hyoyeon admitted to being part of a fight during a broadcast and Taeyeon in this clip admitted she was the other member fighting with Hyoyeon 8:27 Not having a leader in a group of their status is very common so I'm guessing Taeyeon not being their leader is accurate but she will always be SNSDs leader in fans eyes (Kid Leader to be exact XD) 9:24 One of the best SNSD variety shows out there! Its called Intimate Note and highly recommend watching it :-) Sooyoung is pure savage in it 12:32 This was a live performance of Run Devil Run where a random man got on stage and attempted to pull Taeyeon away. Sunny and the MC of the event managed to save and protect Taeyeon from this but it was very traumatizing for Taeyeon :-( 16:52 like the other comments have stated the 2008 Black Ocean is one of the biggest boycotts of a kpop group ever. I'm not sure the exact story but I'll try my best. Basically this happened when the girls were still rookies and other groups (especially boy groups) fandoms were jealous at how close the girls were with said groups, so in retaliation they boycotted the girls performance by staying completely silent and turning off their lightsticks. There was however a small section of SONES still cheering but they weren't as visible. This event really hit the girls hard and they took a hiatus afterwards before they released Gee, 21:03 This was the night that the world found out about Jessica's departure and the girls had to perform at a fanmeet in china. They tried their best but with all the fans yelling out Jessica's name at them , I can't imagine how they must have felt. Wow that was a lot! Hope that helped at least a little :-) there is so much to SNSD and their journey but I think this video really shows their friendship and the struggles they went through to reach the status that they currently hold: Legends! Anyways great video and looking forward to many more reactions! Have a great day!
The only girl group that rise above boy groups without them girl groups of today's generation are nothing! Trust me SNSD built the foundations of what Girl Groups we are seeing right now.
Taengoo is still the leader, the scene was cut and Hyo who's also on the show said that it Taeyeon misunderstood since they only said that to not any add more pressure on Taengoo's shoulders. They even said that Taengoo is doing a great job on being a leader. They talked it out and it went well. 🥰😇
This video shows how hard they worked. These girls like were hand picked to form a group, like they were born for these to inspire people. Girls generation is a miracle. The world is waiting for their comeback.
The song that was playing on 2:27 was "Way to go" I've requested that for so long hehe. And yes it's a rock song you should check that out alongside with "Flyers" and "Say Yes" that's literally the cheer up songs of Sones. The concert performances of these songs were so fun.
16:54 is the story of Dream Concert 2008 where the other fandoms (mostly wonderfuls and boy group fans) all got together and turned off their light sticks and didn't cheer while SNSD were performing. It was so bad that it became known as the black ocean - as opposed to [fandom color] ocean. This is why their performance at Dream Concert 2013 (the one where they performed They Boys and IGAB and only the fans could be heard) is so iconic bc it's the total opposite to their first performance there. 18:32 when Seohyun was joking they would win the Disk Daesang and a second later they were actually anounced as winners, making them the only girl group to have ever won that award :') Also yes Taeyeon did want to quit as a leader since the beginning but they didn't let her do it.
Rock song : WAY TO GO/ HIMNAE Its a GREATTTT SONG, A LOT of people not only in Korea admits that the song gave them strength during hard times. If u wanna react to it, watch both the MV and the LIVE perf (It has moree energy and swag) Also the song ur jamming with : HaHaHa song, it was a CF Song to cheer up Korea during hard times around 2008.
Weird and emotional? Not at all! This is such a great edit, compilation and encapsulation of SNSD ( soo much work involved to put this together). It really captures their range, personalities, experiences, honesty, passion and relationships incredibly well. Some background and detail on the 'Black Ocean'. The 'Dream Concert features groups and artists from all the agencies---it's a total K-Pop industry celebration and showcase. SNSD were still 'rookies' but 'making waves', in part because they were the firs female 'super-group'. But from my own research I learned that SNSD were NOT instantly popular in the general K-Pop fan world. When Sm teased in 2006 that they were forming a "female Super Junior" several industry insiders, and many 'netizens' thought the concept was ridiculous and that they wouldn't last two years ( lots of entrenched male chauvinism involved in many of those opinions, for sure). But while male K-Pop 'snowflake' fans were outraged and dismissive of a "female Super Junior", female K-Pop fans of were also outraged---but by the familiarity that SNSD seemed to have with boy groups, and the 'crushes' those boy group members seemed to express about SNSD members ( a notable example was the Haptic Motion advertising, featuring DBSK and SNSD, filmed as a kind of 'romantic comedy'). Obsessive fans became wildly jealous of SNSD, and had their chance to express their displeasure at SNSD's first Dream Concert appearance. There were just a few hundred SONE, in an upper tier of the stadium, barely visible from the stage, and vastly outnumbered bythe other 50,000-plus K-Pop fans. The "boycott' ( turning off their light-sticks and ignoring or even heckling SNSD) was organized. On top of that, outrageous claims were made against SONE by 'rival' fandoms---claims of violence and even rape! Korean media investigated such claims after the concert, and found them to be utter bullshit ( I have some Korean news reports about this that I've saved on my PC) . Other 'boycotts" of various groups have apparently accord before, and since, but to the best of my knowledge NONE have been anywhere near as extreme as SNSD's "Black Ocean". 5 years later SNSD would return to the 2013 Dream Concert and performed 'The Boys" and "I Got A Boy" as the closing act. There's a particular video ( NOT a fan cam) of this performance with the raw audio intact. THAT 'Dream Concert' is now often described pretty much as "The SNSD Concert After Some Other Groups Did Whatever..." . The entire stadium sang the lyrics for these two songs, along with SNSD, in perfect time, and so loudly that SNSD can barely be heard at all. Her's a link to a pretty good split screen raw audio recording ( though I think there's a better one, but this will do. ua-cam.com/video/kIFPrawR8zY/v-deo.html From the massive boycott of the 'Black Ocean' , SNSD returned in 2013 to simply and irrefutably OWN K-Pop fandom and the industry in general---absolutely cementing their staus as "Legend" .
i was SNSD OT9's fan until the end... went thru several heartbreaks as scandal after scandal hit the girls and the fandom. There were bitter times fr. snsd's black ocean to jessica's departure, but i'll always remember them at their best & worst. in fact, watching u reacting to this vid made me feels so nostalgic that I can still identify which show was on. So thank u Sir Austin.a (p.s notice how SM ent. has so many likable groups but SM ent. always ends up breaking them, mismanagement/capitalism/throwing artists to scandals to cover up Korean political and social issues, u name it. SM artists are just profit -machines, while the company micromanages, exhausts and treats them inhumanely. Yet, it is still a very powerful company and lawsuits rarely work on SM. It is actually a fucked up company behind the dazzling music).
The success story of Girls Generation is best to know and learn ...They're one of the group which start from the bottom and until now they are still on the top Kpop girl group....For your information a few members had said that they gonna have a comeback with new interesting music soon probably around fourth quarter of this year or maybe earlier than that
In the 2008 dream concert, when Girls’ Generation were performing, except for the fans of Girls’ Generation, the other audience collectively extinguished the light sticks and shouted another girl group name in the process. At the end of their performance, the audience booed. This happened at least three times. This caused a huge blow to Girls' Generation. The team did not release any new works for a whole year, and they were facing a crisis of dissolution. Only Taeyeon's OST and Yoona's TV series appeared in the public eye. Other members can only occasionally participated in the radio or some commercial performances until the release of GEE. At that time, for some reason, Girls' Generation could not return with the song dancing queen and finally could only use GEE instead. But fortunately, GEE gained a lot of love as soon as it was released, and the girls also get started on the path to becoming a legend. This is fate. This is meant to be. After knowing this, I think you can understand why SNSD and SONE feel so deeply about the debut song into the new world. 수많은 알 수 없는 길 속에 In countless unknown roads 희미한 빛을 난 쫓아가 I'm chasing the dim light 언제까지라도 함께하는 거야 We'll be together forever 다시 만난 우리의 We met again Many of the above content is translated through the translation website, I hope to help you learn more about Girls’ Generation
And about the clip of fans calling Jessica’s name. That fan meeting happened within a few days after Jessica left. Those fans only liked Jessica, and their behavior was not a pity for Jessica but an anti for the other eight members. They make the members feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. Maybe the fan who made this video didn’t know this, but still, it's should not be in this video.
7:14 the girls are drawing from the box to figure out what their new teams will be. sica and seohyun both drew yellow. so that’s the team no one wants be apart of 😂
No , Sooyoung wanted to change teams because they were losing and she was blaming Jessica for being lazy and hot snd Seohyun dor being too quiet and a follower... they draw balls to select the new team and they were joking to not select yellow once Jessica pull it out because she said that her motto "was never run even when late" , then Seohyun pull it out and if was funny because what are the odds so no one want it to team up and Yoona pull it out almost inmediatly, at the end Jessica and Seohyun just went like maybe we are destiny 🥰 and Yoona convince Jessica to work hard to prove them wrong , which ended up on Yoon Hyun pulling Jessica and Sooyoung team losing so in the end , the faulty player was the one complaining
That second half has me crying like a baby. I'm so proud of them every day 😭 10 years later and still so damn proud I discovered these 9 beautiful, talented women who also helped shape who I am today
It was said, before the concert took place there was some fandoms who make a plan to boycott SNSD because of the closeness between SNSD and the fandom’s idol. So they experienced a 10 minute “ Black ocean” at dream concert. The audiences were silence and dark like no one was even there.
That part when they pick taeyeon was actually asking them about who die from 'you die or i die' thing they show at first part of the video.. and the 'you die' was hyoyeon and 'i die' is taeyeon. They like fighting with each other (not serious hopeful 😂) for performance broadcast. That part in this video quite confusing. You should watch that show. Snsd Healing Camp.. It was hilarious and funny too
Their bond are really like sisters and family, in a kpop world were a lot of groups are only showing closeness in front of cameras. One of the reasons why even though snsd doesnt have comeback for a long time, SONEs are still there for them.
I think you missed a lot of things there but I don’t blame you since you’re rather a new fan and the video was a bit all over the place so I’ll explain some of the clips 7:43 is a continuation of the clip at 4:50 - they were talking about a fight 2 members once had that lead to one of them saying “you’re dying, I’m dying” (the 2 members were Taeyeon and Hyoyeon) 7:20 is a continuation of the clip at 5:56 - Sooyoung was the listing the reason why her, Seo and Jess couldn’t be in the same team and in the end, they got a chance to change the team by picking the balls but Jess and Seo coincidentally picked the same yellow balls and got to be in the same team again so everyone was trying to avoid the yellow ball but Yoona unfortunately picked it 11:04 the members were making fun of Seohyun because they all stopped dancing but she wasn’t aware of it and kept dancing alone 17:27 they were talking about the black ocean they experienced at dream concert 2008. Fans of the other groups boycotted them by turning off their fan lights, not applauding and cheering when the girls were performing as if no one came but when they got off the stage, the audience became the total opposite for other groups
This really made me cry. Seeing this video is insane because every single scene that showed up I witnessed real time live. I can’t believe I actually WITNESSED SNSD making history through the years and it may sound cheesy but I am super grateful to them for bringing me so much happiness growing up. I will forever be grateful to them for working so hard, becoming Korea’s pride, and providing us fans so many good memories alongside them 💕💕💕
Watched it 100x but still ended up crying. These girls are really amazing. Can't find any words to describe them but throughout the years our love for them gets deeper and deeper. And no one can replace them. They are my home. 💜
the songs you asked were "Way to go" (b-side from Gee album to cheer people and it was a hit!!) and "Haha" = a song to cheer people when there was the 2010 economic crash in Korea, to complete the list they have "Flyers" which is a japanese cheering song, I hope you could react to them especially live bcz theyre amazing songs and it matches spring really well😌🙌
In 2014 SNSD Mr.Mr. and 2NE1 Come Back Home had same promotion period. So they had competition and fandoms went crazy they had fanwar 😅 But now I think blackjacks and sones become bff because it was sweet days and everyone misses these days🤧🤧🤧🤧
They're not just a group they're sisters and that's the reason why SONE loves them, not because of their songs, visuals but because of their bond and until now that they're going 15 years together they're still unbreakable. SNSD isn't just a group to us SONE and SNSD are family and we are unbreakable, indestructible. Inside that 15 years the bond we see that we didn't see from other group even up to this Generation 🤧🥺
Wtf I came here expecting that this video will be fun because of the title but here I am can't even stop my self from crying and reminiscing those days where I don't even need to count soshi to know if it's 8 or 9 😭😭😭
Is impossible not falling in love with SNSD, and you did it amazing, knowing them step by step. That's why you can react like you did, because now like a sone, you feel the same way like us. GG forever. ❤
The moment where the net drops on the group was from a Japanese variety show "mecha mecha iketeru" where a comedy troupe of 'monster hunters' travel to Korea to locate a legendary monster with 18 _very long_ legs that beguiles men with irresistible song. Yup, that's SNSD. I managed to watch it a couple of years ago before the YT copyright police took down all uploads of it. There seems to be a Spanish subtitled placeholder that basically provides links to a non-YT video, so react to that on Patreon if you do it at all.
This video is special cause it show how they work so hard to get to be where they are now, the sweat, the tears but in the end always there's laugh, they're strong girls, individually, ans together no one can beat them, I almost tear up too, I really miss them, hopefully we can see them together again in stage soon 💗
In dream concert 2008 the other fandoms boycotted them and turn off all their lightstick to make a black ocean. That was the most scariest and heart breaking thing in Kpop. If you watch their performance their voices was all shakey because they holding their tears. Fans even shouted wondergirls while Snsd was performing. Thanks to Sone on that day because they showed to Snsd that they got their back no matter what.
One of my favorite things about SNSD is their genuine bond that they have for esch other and that they are not just doing it as a "job." Which there is nothing wrong if idols treat it as a job. However, 9 girls in a group and still able to treat each other like family and sisters is impressive because you would think they wouldnt get along, the more members they have in the group. And then they all show support for each other outside of SNSD too. They were honest about their fights, but at the end of the day they knew they had love for each other. You would think that Sunny and YoonA wouldnt get along with each other because they both do aegyo and Sunny threatened YoonA for waking her up. But they hang out the most together and show a lot of love for each other. I still wish there were sub-units for the rest of the girls. We have TTS, could of had SHY (Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Yuri), and a sub unit with Sunny, YoonA, and Jessica. together would have been nice. I have so much love for SNSD and will always be my number 1 favorite group. Also, Sunny didnt have a solo but a song by her would be great to check her vocals out more.
22:43 the voice over here "i enjoyed every single moment" is used here to refer to Jessica's departure, Sooyoung used the quotes from a drama to talk about their time as 9.
2:20 “Way to go” by our Queens SNSD!!! (Yes this was their rock and anime-ish style of song) 4:11 Hahaha song (its a fun song) 12:33 taeyeon here is kinda kidnapped while performing. A man went up the stage and grabbed her to the end of the stage, and sunnybunny came to rescue... 16:52 #BlackOcean where every group fans turned off their lightsticks while SNSD was performing. Girl fan are jealous of SNSD being close to male idols...THATS WHY!!!
The black ocean is an incident that happened to SNSD in 2008 wherein the crowds turned off their lightsticks as if no one's there but when the other groups performed, the stadium became vibrant.
I see you're still lurking, hearting comments Sir Austin. Have you seen DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again? It's a collaboration stage of some members of SNSD and EXO. I remember seeing that and repeating Kyungsoo's parts lmao.
I've took english oral presentation course in university, ive choose Girls Generations as my research subject. I've read, watch, a lot of informations about them. My lecturer love my topic, we discussed a lot in the presentation meeting, their struggle to get to be as big as they now, to be called as legendary are relatable for us. They are human too, they seem like easily to get on the top in front of many people who doesn't know, but in the reality, they had faced a lot. The title of my research may seem as a jokes to some people, and some of my friends laughing when they heard my tittle, but they doesn't know how much girls Generations means to me, not as a fan girl, but as a human. They teach me a lot. For the first time in my life, I've got A in english which i usually got B+ or B.
Ohh, you are not aware of the Dream Concert black ocean... When SNSD debuted a lot of people hated them for no good reason. Mostly die hard fans of TVXQ, Super Junior and other boy groups. They all decided to boycott SNSD at the Dream Concert which is one of the biggest annual kpop concert. They turned their lightsticks off and nobody cheered on them. The audience was black and silent. Except this tiny little pink spot in the crowd where SONEs were cheering so hard. It was very terrible, this black ocean. And they are one of the only groups to experience that. The girls were sad and worried for a while. But the next year, they came back with Gee and at the Dream Concert that year they had the loudest cheers!!
10:57 At the Run Devil Run one (all white background), they played a prank on Seohyun where when she went to the front, they all stopped dancing so she would just dance by herself and be embarassed when she realized 😂😂😂
For context, those clips taken on 9/30 were in the afternoon/evening. Jessica had been announced to be leaving that morning and the girls flew to China for a fanmeet. Some of them were visibly upset at the airport, most of them were wearing sunglasses iirc so you couldn't see their eyes. And Jessica (and Yoona) was the most popular member for C-Sone. So the girls went to the fanmeet notably down only to be met by Sone shouting for Jessica. It was just so disrespectful imo. Fans could SEE that the girls were upset and crying. I understand fans were also upset and wanted answers but all they did was upset the girls further.
SNSD IS 9 AND FOREVER WILL NO ONE CAN CHANGE MY MIND, IF YOU DON'T LIKE JESSI THEN DON'T BUT DON'T DIRESPECT HER BC IS YOU DO, YOU DON'T HAVE RIGHTS TO CALL YOURSELF A SONE ANYMORE. #jaejaerespectJESSICA btw, I already watched this a lot of times but I'm still crying like a cry cry
Hehe can we get a full week of snsd?😍 Please react to their song of baby baby ballad version , and "not alone" , not alone often being a song of reminder about the black ocean that happen in 2008 and how everithing change from there on when people start to recognize them as the strongest girg group, the song is very uplifting😊
The song that you asked is Way to go and the song that Yuri sang 2.52 is Bling Star (her first solo OST). The song background at 3.33-4.10 is Hahaha (one of CF songs from SNSD) Please react to them all.
This is the Golder Era of KPOP. More Variety Shows. Idols arent afraid to show and to express their feelings. Many iconic collaboration. I used to binge watch all SNSD variety show before. It made me laugh, cry so I was really heartbroken when 9/30 happened
Holding back my tears cuz im a grown man. Lol who am I kidding i love them so much I tear up each time. Really wishing comeback rumors are true. Maybe not even a comeback, i just wanna see all 9 of them in one place having fun and be dorks again. #forever9
At the time SNSD debuted, the kpop industry was heavily dominated by boy groups, SNSD, Wonder girls, Kara, T-ara really brought some light and attention to girl groups. SNSD was also called the female replica of Super Junior, their successful senior from the same company. Into the New World turned out to the debut song of all debut songs, iconic from choreography, stage presence, lyrics, and its message, followed by SNSD’s success, even their name SNSD is translated to Girls Generation, that’s just how representative they are to female empowerment in kpop. When they performed at the Dream concert for the first time like it was mentioned in the video, the fans of boy groups boycotted them, turned off all the light sticks and they didn’t cheer, didn’t clap, it was referred to as the black ocean. Fun fact, SNSD is the first girl group to win Daesang at the Golden disk award, the most honorable music award in Korea, although they come from one of the big three companies in the Korean entertainment industry, but they really showed how they earned their title of the Nation’s Girl Group. Most groups from big three companies are promoted strongly by their company’s power rather than true talent. You can search their first performance of Into the New World on youtube, and listen to their live vocals while performing such choreography.
In terms of the clips where they're asking about incidents at the broadcast station and "you're dying, I'm dying", its about a fight Hyoyeon got into with one of the members but turns out it wasn't just one occasion. The hosts ask which one they should ask about and they decided the "strongest" incident I.e. the biggest fight so they picked the fight at the broadcast station. The hosts then asked who the other person involved in the fight was and everyone unanimously wrote 'Taeyeon' in their little boards. The reason they laughed is because no one hesitated to out her as the second person and no one took the heat for her either lol. Hyoyeon outed herself as one of the people in this fight/argument as she was asked directly by the hosts lol.
They worked their b*tts off to break into the era of boy groups.. They opened the doors for girls to have equal chance at success.. I honestly don't get the "big 3 privilege" that some were saying coz SNSD's history said otherwise.. They walked barefoot on rough roads at the early stage of their career at a very young age for others to sail at least a bit smoothly.. So I feel disrespected for the girls whenever I see others discredited their success just because these "kpop fans" joined late on their era when social media is obviously contributing to the newcomers' success..
i remember how much japan loved snsd so much.. they're an ol korean gg, but they were topping japanese charts every cb and japan tours sold out coz even int'l fans attend their concerts in japan.. dey always had unique special stages in Japan.
I know this is a long shot, but SNSD's concert DVDs were actually uploaded on youtube, so if you want to react to them, here they are: 1. Into the New World Tour: ua-cam.com/video/Fqfn0CKzEqU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=moyuna2 2. 2011 Tour in Seoul: ua-cam.com/video/LV6lR0a3liw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SONE_%EC%86%8C%EC%9B%90 3. 2011 Tour in Japan: ua-cam.com/video/UaDnAe2mbx4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=2598741S [these last two are very similar] 4. Girls & Peace in Seoul: ua-cam.com/video/HXF7xTW99Fk/v-deo.html 5. Girls & Peace in Japan: ua-cam.com/video/wYOfRzPHxqI/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Buddy2015 [these two are very similar save the opening numbers (both are awesome!) and some costumes] 6. Love & Peace Tour in Japan: ua-cam.com/video/WkBEVpvgR8g/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RyanTV 7. The Best Live at Tokyo Dome: ua-cam.com/video/kv1ac5wxXm4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RyanTV 8. Phantasia in Seoul: ua-cam.com/video/hoIxEH7ynGU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=XxGGLover102xX 9. Phantasia in Japan: ua-cam.com/video/D9bZQKugd88/v-deo.html&ab_channel=XxGGLover102xXXxGGLover102xX [again, the two phantasias are very similar, but in my opinion, the one in Japan was better] I highly recommend 2011 Tour in Japan, Girls & Peace in Japan, and Phantasia in Japan! :) Even if you don't react to them, i hope you enjoy watching them! :) ❤❤
"What's the song that is playing?" The one I've been requesting you to react to for the past month or so 😩! Fun SNSD songs you need to react to 'Himnae' (Way to go) 'Haha song' 'Say yes' (LIVE RADIO version) 'Echo'
Been a SONE for 15 yrs, going 16yrs this year. Since 2009 I followed them and I've seen their ups and downs. They did the impossible back then, it was really Mission Impossible. If you will compare it to today's groups, it was like, Twice beating BTS in sales, charts, etc. But before that happened, they went to hardships. It was the time wherein UA-cam was not a thing so we needed to ask Korean SONEs to upload to any online streaming sites the digital copies of their TV broadcast and then we also needed to ask some SONEs who were bilingual to make subs so that international fans can watch. It was really hardships for the first 2yrs, and it was the longest 2yrs of their career, us earlier SONEs didn't expect this kind of stardom from them, we just wished for them to be able to sustain their Idol Career. It was really hell when it comes to promotions before. Not just SNSD, every 2nd Gen group, it was hard. There were a lot of sasaeng fans as well, etc. I can go on here and narrate what it was back then but we're just thankful that the 8 members are still together and the lost chick seems to be happy and doing fine. PS, just found your videos. Welcome to the Fandom.
The 2008 "black ocean": Before 2007 there were some years when no girl groups were really successful (after the 1st gen girl groups all disbanded), so SNSD's success, visibility and all their fanboys were something new and unusual. Specifically, SNSD was very close with two of the most popular boy groups, SuJu and TVXQ since they trained together. Also since they are friendly they quickly became close with other boygroups they met when promoting. Many fan-girls were jealous and started spreading lies about SNSD, there was a famous list of supposed examples of SNSD being rude or disrespectful to various other idols. All made up of course, many celebrities and staff have talked about how impressed they were with SNSD's manners and kindness. As fans were coming into the Dream concert there were new rumors going around about the male Sones: First, that sones had torn down and destroyed banners made by fan girls of other groups - Later it came out that the fans had put up banners without permission and it was the venue staff that took them down. Second, that sones were pushing and shoving fangirls to get better positions for the concert and that some girls fell and ended up in the hospital with broken bones. Later a TV show investigated and looked for any of these "injured fans" and even checked with all the hospitals in the area, but couldn't find any evidence that this actually happened. Anyway, I'm guessing that since many fangirls were already resentful of SNSD being close with "their oppa" they were more willing to believe the lies. The stories about the violent sones were like the extra final reason they needed. So almost the entire stadium joined in on this with everyone turning off their light-sticks when it was SNSDs turn to perform. Luckily things changed after that and I think most fans of SM groups at least support each other and love seeing interactions between the groups.
I got chills reading your comment. This is true and I Stan this comment
@@icetro5145 Me too
OMG 😭
10:18 “I wanna make sure i love all of them” awww🥺 we love you Austin❤️
that part where snsd stated that fans boycotted them in dream concert was the time where snsd performed there and all the fandoms esp. the boygroup fandoms boycotted snsd by turning off their lightsticks making a black ocean out of the stadium and those fandoms started shouting "wonder girls!" but despite of that there's a tiny patch of sones waving their lightsticks in the side of the stadium... i think in the view from the stage it wasn't visible at all, but it's still heartwarming to have sones who supported them inside the stadium... that event is one of the most tragic moments in kpop as that time every fandom hated snsd so much
Add on, Worst black ocean in Kpop history
They are always emotional on their concerts. It shows how much they appreciate their every moment with Sones. That's the reason why I stan this group. They are the softest and purest heart. Their bonds are indestructible and unbreakable. Their love for their fans are incomparable.
Yes this video takes a serious turn and its a good recap of the struggle and journey SNSD went through. I just finished the video but I'm going to re-watch it and explain a few things :-)
1:50 those clips are from an episode of "Hello Baby", It was Seohyuns birthday and they decided to do a hidden camera prank where they pretended to have a fight with each other but surprise her with a birthday party at the end
2:22 Yes! One of my favorite SNSD songs its called "Way to Go" and was released around the time of Gee. Its such a fun rock sounding song and I recommend you listen to it :-)
7:07 Sooyoung was originally teamed up with Seohyun and Jessica but then made the valid argument of how its the worst combination for a team (Seohyun just a follower, Sooyoung is stupid, and Jessica doesn't run) so they decided to re-pick the teams. Jessica and Seohyun both re-picked yellow so whoever picked yellow was with the 2 members no one wanted. Yoona picked yellow which is why everyone was laughing
7:33 these clips are talking about multiple incidents where they were fighting and saying "You're dying, I'm dying" in a previous clip Hyoyeon admitted to being part of a fight during a broadcast and Taeyeon in this clip admitted she was the other member fighting with Hyoyeon
8:27 Not having a leader in a group of their status is very common so I'm guessing Taeyeon not being their leader is accurate but she will always be SNSDs leader in fans eyes (Kid Leader to be exact XD)
9:24 One of the best SNSD variety shows out there! Its called Intimate Note and highly recommend watching it :-) Sooyoung is pure savage in it
12:32 This was a live performance of Run Devil Run where a random man got on stage and attempted to pull Taeyeon away. Sunny and the MC of the event managed to save and protect Taeyeon from this but it was very traumatizing for Taeyeon :-(
16:52 like the other comments have stated the 2008 Black Ocean is one of the biggest boycotts of a kpop group ever. This event really hit the girls hard and they took a hiatus afterwards before they released Gee,
21:03 This was the night that the world found out about Jessica's departure and the girls had to perform at a fanmeet in china.
Trust me SNSD built the foundations of what Girl Groups we are seeing right now.
true
Taengoo is still the leader, the scene was cut and Hyo who's also on the show said that it Taeyeon misunderstood since they only said that to not any add more pressure on Taengoo's shoulders. They even said that Taengoo is doing a great job on being a leader. They talked it out and it went well. 🥰😇
This video shows how hard they worked. These girls like were hand picked to form a group, like they were born for these to inspire people. Girls generation is a miracle. The world is waiting for their comeback.
All kpop groups are more or less handpicked. That's why they are uniformly so good.
@@xheralt i meant not the auditioned part, moreone destined would be the right word.
The song that was playing on 2:27 was "Way to go" I've requested that for so long hehe. And yes it's a rock song you should check that out alongside with "Flyers" and "Say Yes" that's literally the cheer up songs of Sones. The concert performances of these songs were so fun.
awesome songs!! most of my favorites we have so much content and songs, long live SNSD, right now, in the future, and forever ^_^
Please react to Yoona’s song when’s he wind blows . She really has an angelic voice and suits ballads and soft songs
Up
I love also "Summer Night". I love listening to her songs coz it's so calming.
Yes plz when the wind blows is so good
And also promise
yes, When The Wind Blows
16:54 is the story of Dream Concert 2008 where the other fandoms (mostly wonderfuls and boy group fans) all got together and turned off their light sticks and didn't cheer while SNSD were performing. It was so bad that it became known as the black ocean - as opposed to [fandom color] ocean. This is why their performance at Dream Concert 2013 (the one where they performed They Boys and IGAB and only the fans could be heard) is so iconic bc it's the total opposite to their first performance there.
18:32 when Seohyun was joking they would win the Disk Daesang and a second later they were actually anounced as winners, making them the only girl group to have ever won that award :')
Also yes Taeyeon did want to quit as a leader since the beginning but they didn't let her do it.
Rock song : WAY TO GO/ HIMNAE
Its a GREATTTT SONG, A LOT of people not only in Korea admits that the song gave them strength during hard times.
If u wanna react to it, watch both the MV and the LIVE perf (It has moree energy and swag)
Also the song ur jamming with : HaHaHa song, it was a CF Song to cheer up Korea during hard times around 2008.
At the part where the girls were planning to make seohyun cry.. that was to prank her for her birthday celebration (in Hello Baby) hahahaa
Her's a link to a pretty good split screen raw audio recording ( though I think there's a better one, but this will do. ua-cam.com/video/kIFPrawR8zY/v-deo.html
From the massive boycott of the 'Black Ocean' , SNSD returned in 2013 to simply and irrefutably OWN K-Pop fandom and the industry in general---absolutely cementing their staus as "Legend" .
i was SNSD OT9's fan until the end... went thru several heartbreaks as scandal after scandal hit the girls and the fandom. There were bitter times fr. snsd's black ocean to jessica's departure, but i'll always remember them at their best & worst. in fact, watching u reacting to this vid made me feels so nostalgic that I can still identify which show was on. So thank u Sir Austin.a
(p.s notice how SM ent. has so many likable groups but SM ent. always ends up breaking them, mismanagement/capitalism/throwing artists to scandals to cover up Korean political and social issues, u name it. SM artists are just profit -machines, while the company micromanages, exhausts and treats them inhumanely. Yet, it is still a very powerful company and lawsuits rarely work on SM. It is actually a fucked up company behind the dazzling music).
9:22 the name of the variety show is intimate note
girls' generation monday, taeny tuesday, snsd wednesday, soshi thursday, shojo jidai friday, so nyeo shi dae saturday, gg sunday
coming soon: seohyun, yoona, sooyoung, yuri
yeeeaah, more SNSD, thank youu, sone is glad 💜
Absolutely m, thankyou coach ❤️
수많은 알 수 없는 길 속에 In countless unknown roads
희미한 빛을 난 쫓아가 I'm chasing the dim light
언제까지라도 함께하는 거야 We'll be together forever
다시 만난 우리의 We met again
Many of the above content is translated through the translation website, I hope to help you learn more about Girls’ Generation
I'm so proud of them every day 😭
10 years later and still so damn proud I discovered these 9 beautiful, talented women who also helped shape who I am today
These girls never disappoint us. I’m subscribing because of your love for SNSD!
I think you missed a lot of things there but I don’t blame you since you’re rather a new fan and the video was a bit all over the place so I’ll explain some of the clips
7:43 is a continuation of the clip at 4:50 - they were talking about a fight 2 members once had that lead to one of them saying “you’re dying, I’m dying” (the 2 members were Taeyeon and Hyoyeon)
7:20 is a continuation of the clip at 5:56 - Sooyoung was the listing the reason why her, Seo and Jess couldn’t be in the same team and in the end, they got a chance to change the team by picking the balls but Jess and Seo coincidentally picked the same yellow balls and got to be in the same team again so everyone was trying to avoid the yellow ball but Yoona unfortunately picked it
11:04 the members were making fun of Seohyun because they all stopped dancing but she wasn’t aware of it and kept dancing alone
17:27 they were talking about the black ocean they experienced at dream concert 2008. Fans of the other groups boycotted them by turning off their fan lights, not applauding and cheering when the girls were performing as if no one came but when they got off the stage, the audience became the total opposite for other groups
7:48 they meant the strongest fight Hyo had with someone, it was with Taeyeon lol
This really made me cry. Seeing this video is insane because every single scene that showed up I witnessed real time live. I can’t believe I actually WITNESSED SNSD making history through the years and it may sound cheesy but I am super grateful to them for bringing me so much happiness growing up. I will forever be grateful to them for working so hard, becoming Korea’s pride, and providing us fans so many good memories alongside them 💕💕💕
To think I'm SONE before and then I'm MooMoo is such a blessing when this channel exist. Plus I'm fan of EXO. Talk about the same taste.
Watched it 100x but still ended up crying. These girls are really amazing. Can't find any words to describe them but throughout the years our love for them gets deeper and deeper. And no one can replace them. They are my home. 💜
That song around 2:20 is Way To Go by SNSD. One of my all time faves. I love how happy and carefree the girls are whenever they perform this.
Yeyyyyy snsd everyday HAHAHAHA
the songs you asked were "Way to go" (b-side from Gee album to cheer people and it was a hit!!) and "Haha" = a song to cheer people when there was the 2010 economic crash in Korea, to complete the list they have "Flyers" which is a japanese cheering song, I hope you could react to them especially live bcz theyre amazing songs and it matches spring really well😌🙌
I wasn't expecting that type of video either omg, I cried :c I'm so proud of them, I love them so much, thank you so much for reaching to this!
You're definitely not human if you didn't cry. Ahhh i miss the girls so much!!!
GG forever. ❤
My dream even more then a SNSD comeback is to see OT9 together again laughing and having fun and remembering all the good times
Now that you stan shinee you could react to "SHINEE MINHO - GIRLS' GENERATION'S FAVOURITE BOY"
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
7:26 they were talking about the im dying you're dying fight. Meaning that the one who fought with hyoyeon (the earlier clip) was Taeyeon lol.
i've watched this multiple times but i can't help to cry again. i really really miss them.
This video is special cause it show how they work so hard to get to be where they are now, the sweat, the tears but in the end always there's laugh, they're strong girls, individually, ans together no one can beat them, I almost tear up too, I really miss them, hopefully we can see them together again in stage soon 💗
That video of a man dragging Taeyeon at the stage is scary, like he was just about to kidnap her but thanks to sunny 💕
I never get tired watching their videos. Thank you Sir Austin for reacting to this.
Thanks to Sone on that day because they showed to Snsd that they got their back no matter what.
i've watched it 2 times back then and today is the 3rd, and the part where maknae and unnie bonds showed up still hits me
And I thought I wouldn't cry again
i wanna see you react the to the reason why snsd is legend 👸 thx u i love uuuu ❤❤❤
When you watched it how many times but always end up crying. I miss our girls T_T.
They are the reason why i love kpop now.
It's 3 AM and I'm here rewatching this laughing and crying with you :) thank you so much 💓
22:43 the voice over here "i enjoyed every single moment" is used here to refer to Jessica's departure, Sooyoung used the quotes from a drama to talk about their time as 9.
2:20 “Way to go” by our Queens SNSD!!! (Yes this was their rock and anime-ish style of song)
4:11 Hahaha song (its a fun song)
12:33 taeyeon here is kinda kidnapped while performing. A man went up the stage and grabbed her to the end of the stage, and sunnybunny came to rescue...
16:52 #BlackOcean where every group fans turned off their lightsticks while SNSD was performing. Girl fan are jealous of SNSD being close to male idols...THATS WHY!!!
Maybe you should check out way to go and then it's baby song flyers!!! They have a more rock vibe!
I get goosebumps and i cry too, I miss snsd so much, i hope they're really comeback
Thanks sir for reaction
This always makes me cry. Please react to other SNSD anniv tribute videos. it would really touch your SONE heart. So prpud of our girls.
There’s two anniversary tributes that’s well made... 5th & 10th year
Yoona has a few beautiful songs.
Sunny does have some songs you can check out like like her cover of 3 and first kiss
I’m really proud
OMG... I'm not crying, just have an OT9 in my eye 😢
8 in our eyes, 9 in our hearts ♥️
I am here in the corner silently crying... those memories..😭😭😭
You should react next to SNSD/Girls Generation-The Reasons Why They Are Legend
It always makes me sad whenever I saw and hear about SNSD 'black ocean' on a Popular Big Stage in K-pop. 😢😢😢😢
That's Intimate Note. 🙂 It's hilarious! 🤣 A must watch!
Fond memories of binge-watching every SNSD variety show appearance.
SNSD IS 9 AND FOREVER WILL NO ONE CAN CHANGE MY MIND, IF YOU DON'T LIKE JESSI THEN DON'T BUT DON'T DIRESPECT HER BC IS YOU DO, YOU DON'T HAVE RIGHTS TO CALL YOURSELF A SONE ANYMORE.
#jaejaerespectJESSICA
btw, I already watched this a lot of times but I'm still crying like a cry cry
Hehe can we get a full week of snsd?😍
Please react to their song of baby baby ballad version , and "not alone" , not alone often being a song of reminder about the black ocean that happen in 2008 and how everithing change from there on when people start to recognize them as the strongest girg group, the song is very uplifting😊
11:20 Seohyun didn't mess up, the members just pranked her they stopped dancing behind her and Seo didn't see and continued dancing alone lol
I hate that I have watched this video numerous times but still cry every freaking time. 💔
This is a well made video. I can't help but to tear up too. 🥺
8:19 yes but for Soshi and Sone's she's still our Taeng-Leader💜
3:57 The song you're jamming to is Girls' Generation - 하하하송 (HaHaHa Song)!
😄 I think it's a commercial song (CF) for Samsung.
even their commercial song is very catchy🤣
o god i wasn’t expecting this ending chunks either 😭😭😭 i shed tears with you
In terms of the clips where they're asking about incidents at the broadcast station and "you're dying, I'm dying", its about a fight Hyoyeon got into with one of the members but turns out it wasn't just one occasion.
I know this is a long shot, but SNSD's concert DVDs were actually uploaded on youtube, so if you want to react to them, here they are:

I highly recommend 2011 Tour in Japan, Girls & Peace in Japan, and Phantasia in Japan! :)

I miss OT9. I miss all of them
