They actually don't all sing the choruses. Only 2 to 4 members do depending on each song and the tone they're going for. Check out divadream channel for snsd vocal analysis. They upload videos filtering who sings on the choruses. In OT9 it was mostly Taengsic or TaeSicSeo. In OT8 it's Taeyeon, tiffany, seohyun and sunny. There are exceptions of course but that's the general rule of thumb.
Imagine if they trained her more vocally. She could have easily been a lead vocalist back but now she's basically a lead vocalist cause I know how much she loves to sing. She even said it herself that she loves singing. Same with Yuri. Yuri had that nice lower husky tone that sounding nice.

A lot of the dolphin notes and ad libs you pointed out were seohyun!!! She does at points hit notes like Taeyeon and was always vocally this good, I think over the years she just mastered her breath control and they’ve showcased her as second lead vocal more so in this album. my bias ❤️
The high note in Sweet talk is Seohyun 😊 she did improve a lot but then she keeps working hard for that... It's an amazing, It's always such a pleasure to see her growth
I think those high notes at the background in Sweet Talk are more of them from SeoHyun, she improved a lot, that's why a keep saying you should react to her album, you will love it :3
Oh this album has so much! Holiday Night actually reminded me of their first album, the 'Girls Generation' album especially with tracks like Only One, It's You, and Light Up The Sky and I do quite remember seeing sones share the same sentiment back then. Plus there's like 4 fan songs in this album and that just made it extra special. Honestly if All Night was released now I'm pretty sure it'll be a hit. With all the retro/disco concepts in kpop right now All Night still stays as one of the best out there. If only you knew, Seohyun actually wrote Sweet Talk 😂. And it's funny that you liked Sweet Talk the best cause that's the only song that I skip in this album dhjdjdj. Yuri wrote It's You and she got inspired from a fan letter she received back then. I can't remember much of the details thou. I personally think Hyoyeon shined on this album, she got 2 songs where she got to sing the chorus, got rap verses, and lines that showcased her lower registers! I'm quite satisfied with that. With that said, all of the members really shined as well despite the line distribution. Sunny got to use her real voice, Yoona singing actual phrases instead of just a few words, Sooyoung and Yuri got prominent parts that wasn't just simple melodic lines, and TTS came through with their vocals! An S-tier album I must say.
Yes Sunny slaying the back vocals will never not be my favorite of the song. Wish the lyric video reflected her backing the entire group especially the vocal line.

This is definitely one of my favorites korean releases, I have 5 favorite b-sides on this album: One Last Time, FAN, Sweet Talk, Love is Bitter and Light up the sky. Yuri wrote the lyrics for “it’s you” which is specially dedicated to S♡NE who has been with SNSD throughout the years. She read a fan’s letter and decide to reply it through this song! And btw, seohyun is the one who wrote “sweet talk.”
I love this album, it’s my favourite out of the ones I’ve heard from SNSD so far. Fan, Sweet Talk & Love Is Bitter are my favourites among the more upbeat tracks & One Last Time + Light Up The Sky are my overall favourites, because they just have that nostalgia and a ton of emotion. Both of them would be the perfect songs for the end of a concert. And I think around the time SNSD released this both of these songs were also seen as a kind of goodbye type song bc their contracts were up (it’s still the last group album to date). With that in mind these songs always hit differently for me. Loved listening to this album again along with you!

I am feeling soo nostalgic now,this was the last comeback for them as 8 and I really cherish this album Holiday and sweet talk were written by Seohyun & it's you was written by Yuri,Well Fan & light up the sky and it's you are songs for fans to describe how the relation between sones and snsd members was and it's still that way,I felt proud when I heard those songs for the first time and I cried because I have been a sone for more than 10 years now.
I can't wait for you to hear more of their Japanese work. It is so good! And arguably even better than Korean discography. Rain is one of the best songs they've had. Animal, reflection... Masterpieces!

I love Light Up the Sky so much, it makes me so emotional. Yes, it would be such a perfect ending song to a concert. I always imagined SNSD closing their concert with Light Up the Sky for a 10th anniversary concert tour. Except the concert never happened and then 3 of them parted ways with SM... When Taeyeon sings "until the end" it makes me so sad.

You might love her album cause her voice gives Ariana vibes and her vocals are main vocals material. She's the reason I found Mamamoo cause she did a cover of You're the Best on masked singer. The song "It's You" was a letter given to Yuri during a fanmeet and they made it into a song. "Light Up the Sky," a lot of people speculate that parts of the lyrics refer to Jessica. ALSO SIR AUSTIN!!! You need their song "Sailing," It's a solo song SNSD released for their anniversary after lionheart era. The video has a ton of references you will get and there's a duet of Tiffany and Sooyoung singing it together live. It is a ballad though.
