Besides the safety, relaxation should be possible to write off a better downtime accommodation. Sure you are taking money out of your pocket or putting it on a card or something at the time, but hopefully you can get it back in taxes, which we all have to deal with eventually. I’m from CA, moving to NV and want to become an owner operator (I know it’s not as profitable and easy as it used to be, but I still think it’s a good option for me) but I am a little bit concerned about the western states and less valuable and fewer loads versus farther east. Do you think it’s worth it or am I going to have to deadhead a lot farther East? I have family towards the east so I could make it worthwhile a little bit, but I don’t want to have to structure business with a huge amount of deadheading. Do you think it’s worth it running between the frontier region and Pacific regions still?
Sleeping at hotels and wearing flip-flops, thats a real trucker 🤣🤡
