    I really need to know how much latency the keystone correction adds.

    Great set of features at this price point. I just wish Benq realeased a TH690 longer throw ratio brother soon.

      Have you checked out X1300i? I mean higher lumen and great picture quality with only £100 more budget, it's also a decent price ig?
      just watched the review and consider buying one myself ua-cam.com/video/5Yr74rIvi4g/v-deo.html

    Is there any point buying gaming projector like that to watch movies? I'm looking for some projector in this price range and I can't decide.

    Contemplating using this projector for a golf simulator and curious in a normal (not brightly lit) room the overall brightness factor. Also curious if the keystone has a large impact on the picture quality. What I have noticed is the more keystone applied the more blurriness is seen around the edges. The focus can't do well on an entire image during Keystone generally. You have to focus the middle and just accept some blur around the outside. I am going to require about a 30 degree horizontal applied.

      Did you ever go ahead with this for a golf simulator? Was considering the same and looking for an opinion on it.

      I have a benq projector and it’s not as good as this and it works fine in my room. Don’t forget the impact screen will never Be as good quality as a normal screen so bear that in mind as searching for ultimate quality may be a waste of time

    ONE THING I don't understand... How does the input lag go down using a higher refresh rate? Wouldn't having a higher refresh rate be the key factor in increasing lag, because of the extra frames and signal load being processed, thus making latency worse? The same thing happens when I record guitar digitally. If I want it to sound cleaner/clearer at a higher quality, I will need to boost my computers processing speed to handle it, or else I will have a slight delay from when I strum the strings to the sound I hear coming back on my speakers. In other words, input lag. Similar concept, but totally different application of course... I just keep hearing mixed information about this. Someone help! :D

      The greater the number of frames per second, the sooner you are able to see the screen react to your button presses.

    here's an odd question, do the PS5 and series X detect this as a 4K projector in their video settings ? I have a TK700 STI on the way and I know that it's 4K pixel shifting, but when you tried this projector, was it noticeably lower quality in terms of resolution then the tk700? I'm getting the tk700 STI for $1,900 plus taxes about $2200 Canadian ... currently the 690 St is $1400 + 13% taxes on Amazon Canada. I've seen it for $1250 + 13% taxes on other sites...
    I'm going to be using it primarily for Xbox series X and PS5. is the native 4K versus the downscaled 4K really that different when you looked at them personally ?
    also I'm considering the fact that it's LED lights which should last forever compared to a bulb which I will have to change 5000 to 8000 hours

    • @julianyepes5317
      @julianyepes5317 2 роки тому

      I'm in a similar scenario and I'm deciding going for the 690ST for the long lasting LED and the shorter throw distance. 4k downscaled to 1080 still looks better than 1080, and tbh I think I'll be using 1080p 120hz most of the time anyway. I think if you have a very professional home theater setup then the 700 makes sense. But if you're doing this in your room or living room, then the shorter throw one is the better bang for your buck.

      @Username4453 Рік тому

      I'm debating whether to get the TK700STI or TH690ST as well, the TK700STi has 4k 60hz and 240hz 1008p but only a 10,000:1 contrast ratio vs the 500,000:1 of the 690 and the 690 is LED so it uses less energy and has a longer bulb life.
