Thank you for the visit, glad you enjoyed the fishing! Please we encourage anyone visiting to release the billfish. Most of it is wasted and not consumed, and it is illegal for restaurants to have it on the menu in Mexico, so they can’t resell it. Help us protect our fishery my friends and release any billfish you’re lucky enough to land 👍

Hi. I appreciate your message here, but wanted to inform you that we consumed 1/4 of the fish over a five day period. The rest of the fish we distributed locally. None of the fish was wasted. Not only did we support the local economy in Cabo, we fed many many families :-)

@@bryanauer I know you were trying to do the right thing and thank you for releasing the 2nd fish. But the first fish was clearly a juvenile, and in my honest opinion should have been released. These young fish are the most likely to survive a short fight and the type we need to sustain the fishery. Nothing against you my friend, the crew should have released the fish. The bigger issue is that we have hundreds of boats leaving this marina and wayyyy too many Marlin are killed and wasted. It’s something us in the business are concerned about and larger fleets like ours are 100% catch and release now on all billfish. Simply hoping to raise awareness about the issue of killing these fish, appreciate your reply. All the best.

Lands End Charters Cabo I would never hire a charter that required me to release billfish even though I release 99.9% of them. I’ve also been fishing billfish for 40 years and I can assure you this was not a juvenile. It was a striped marlin The perfect size to harvest in my opinion. Have a great day

@@bryanauer to each their own my friend - I’m sorry you feel that way- our goal is to simply do everything we can to ensure my grandchildren and yours will someday be able to enjoy these beautiful waters and our amazing sport, we will continue to promote and require catch and release on all billfish 👍

That’s exactly where we stayed it’s absolutely amazing because it has a private beach plus walking distance to the marina for all the craziness. I’m working on some more video footage from the trip I can’t wait to put it out there to share with my friends
