That jumper is so smooth
Standard Pre-Painted Bodyshells are PVC. Which is more brittle.
If you get the Clear version spare part - Its made from Lexan and will take those hits much better.

Mine breaks just bashing on flatland. Just after a two hours I got bent CVDs, bent axles on all four wheels, and broken rear turn buckle. To add more insult to the tucks durability, my two boys running their Redcat XTE pro’s on 3s have yet to break anything.
So you saying that the HD drive shafts didn't fix the issue with the previous model where the drive shafts end was bending and snapping? LoL, what kind of cheese are these made of?
I'm looking forward to get myself one of those trucks but comments like this make me worried a little.
@@Mike_Rakowski This trucks speed and size no doubt makes it fun. However the fact that you can’t find any CVD’s anywhere for this truck right now speaks for itself.

My mate and I use the quantum xt plus and we have only taken it out twice and only jumping from not even 3meters high and landing upside down. The bit on the rear diff casing that holds the suspension tower snaps clean off.

Best thing you can do with these is put smaller diameter and thinner wheels on them. The standard ones weigh a ton and when they get wet, they're just a nightmare. Small wheels and it transforms the car. Altogether better handling, steering and no more snapped stub axles !

Hi Paul, Great car you will love it , I would probably start off with a 7.4v lipo first.
Good results, considering the very high jumps in a Concrete skate park. The body cracked, probably because of the flex, in the Shock tower body mounts & chassis being plastic. Crazy test though 😂

Good day. Chel you argue that the outputs of the center differentials are not frayed, because they strike me very quickly. in about 4 hours you can see them a lot
The shock shafts on the MT Flux version that I have can be bent back to shape with my BARE HANDS. That is not good. Hopefully this one is better 🤔

Nice driving Oscar when are expecting the parts to hit your store I want to upgrade some of the parts on the flux's I have, also and chance of a list of the parts that can be used as some are hardened on the +. Just want to weigh in on the issues of the Flux's I have to agree with some of what is said but to be honest I wish it was a lil tougher for the money but I also remember back in the day dropping $600 on a hyper 7 and it had weak front stearing knuckles and plastic geared servo's and then I look at the issues of the kraton 8s when it can out and still has now and that costs around $1600 I really dont feel so bad bout my $380 purchase just my 2cents

Yes sir no problem
Neither this one or the Small had much issue in land correctly but they small one only has to tumble or flip and it had a bent axle or driveshaft and that was on grass .
This has the same arms , same driveshafts,
I don’t particularly like the shocks , the shock cap rubber seal inside the body are very Thin and get twisted as I tighten up the cap abuse the oil to seep out of the top

If your a beginner go for the normal , If your more experienced for the Plus.
I have a question. The Maverick Quantum flux with MT 3S battery destroys the differential. It has happened to us 2 times already. Is there a risk with a 3S battery even with this plus model?

Bought one of these during your Black Friday sale, along with a spare body shell and wing. What else do you recommend spare parts wise to have in the kit bag for a weekend of light to medium bashing?
There is a god awful gear grinding noise when you’re giving it throttle. Did you check gear mesh before you took it out?
Hey Mate, So that grinding noise is actually the center front drive shaft being bent from the massive jump we done (was just hitting the front brace thats what was causing the noise.)The mesh was Awesome even when the motor screws came loose did not move! great motor mount and mesh! If we would have just pulled the center drive shaft out and bent it back the noise would have gone away.
@@crazyhobbies4695 Did you bend it twice as you hit that big jump, made grinding noise, you fixed the driveshaft then hit another big job near the end and it started making the grinding noise again?
@@cwatson42785 So just regarding the noise we did not actually fix the center driveshaft properly , we just got some pliers and bent it back as best as we could , but yeah it was just the center driveshaft rubbing on the plastic chassis brace if we took it out and bent it back the car would have been fine with no noise.

Great video guys watching from your brother country the UK, quick question, is it normal for these to bend driveshafts like this on high flat landings? Like will the outcome be similar on most rc cars or is it a specific issue with this Quantum? there about to be released here in UK and i really want to pull the trigger on one, they look like a no brainer for the money, £250 in UK with no lipo.
Ricky Bruv, Hope your well mate , The driveshafts will bend only if there is direct impact as in front on , or if you roll the car , besides that the driveshafts will not bend .

Good Question! So we did plug a 4s lipo in the ESC is comes with still turns on but does not run : ) You would have to change the ESC. if you were looking to run 4s.... But I can tell you now it has plenty of POWER!!!
It does almost 80km on 3s you don't need 4s. It's as quick as the mini Revo

In the box, no. Neither the battery nor the charger. You’ll have to find one yourself; I’d go for smth like Hpi plazma 11.1v LiPo (or 7.4v if u preffer 2s)
Body looks to be pvc and not polycarbonate with how its shattering

Miserably disappointed. I finally got this car and two days later it's broken. Gearbox has two small tabs that hold up the weight of the chassis top frame. Parts are not easy to get. Love the power and look but it's just sitting there now waiting on a weak part I expect will break again.. update. Replaced gear box. Car is made of weak plastic. Threads don't hold screws well. Waaaaaaste..... Upgrade. Finally fixed it and love it again. I hand to hpi warrenty people. They have made the experience of owning an rc much better. Redcat however sucks in the service dept.
What size batteries does this take? I know 2s or 3s but what mah?
Good question, So we used the gens ace 3300mah 11.1. we did try to fit a gens ace 5000 11.1 but was to long, so you can use the gens ace bashing 5500 11.1 hard case which fits perfect., the battery compartment is not to long so get a stumpy lipo . any 2s lipo which is 5000mah should fit no problem.
