Merry Christmas - what a blessing to grow your herd so much. All of that hard foundation work paid off. Well done and congratulations. Story well told.
Wow, this is a lovely video, Noah! So happy you are adding to your herd and getting those dreams to a reality! Merry Christmas to you and your family and a Happy Buffalo raising New Year to you!
HOORAY ! Exciting times ahead with 30 bisons .. that's gonna keep you real busy .. in a couple years, they all start breeding .. there is no looking back now
Congratulations on growing your herd thanks for sharing your journey so inspiring enjoy your new animals and the rest of your week. I had a feeling that it would be around 24
Hello Noah, My name is Bert. I have a small bison herd (18 head) in Belgium (Europe). I only started 3 years ago with bison. 24th of June a bison calf was born and not accepted by its mother. I bottle raised it and only stopped giving Milk a week ago. The person I purchased my bison from imported his first animals out of the US over 30 years ago. He has now over 500 head. He advised me to give milk to the calf at least 5 months. I gave it 2 times a day half a gallon out of a bucket. Cow Milk for human consumption 4% fat content. Not that I am an expert, but in nature the calfs have milk for at least 6 months. I think the red dogs will stay smaller if they don't get milk. All the best!! Bert
Hi Bert! So great to hear someone over the pond raising these animals! Yes, you’re not wrong in your thought process. Certain circumstances caused us to take on these small calves. We are going to do everything we can and hope for the best. Thank you for your impute!
Wow wow wow!!! I'm am more then excited for you!!!! A LOT of hard work and such a beautiful payoff! Congratulations to you both!!! Great video! I was counting as they came off and mesmerized after 10!!! I am on the verge of tears!!!! Now... I'm speechless!♥️♥️
Congratulations Noah, Heidi & kid's for your new additions to the herd. I bet it was an exciting time for you guy's & can't wait for the adventure to continue. 😊🥰🙏🎉🎊🥳
Noah, it's been a while since I have been here on your channel. I am sure you will understand that life takes over some times. I am so happy for you with the addition to your herd!!! They are absolutely beautiful bison. I look forward to seeing how these new calves and yearlings grow and flourish at your ranch. Congratulations ❤️ 🦬❤️🦬❤️
I'm so excited for you and your family! Those landstride moments are worth waiting for on the journey to realizing a dream. I can remember when I caught the buffalo-bug as a 20 year old. I saw a newspaper article about a man in my community who owned buffalo. Living in suburbia, I didn't dare to dream I could ever do something like that before. Thank you for sharing this moment with us, and congratulations on the new additions on your land!
Congratulations on all your new babies. You are doing great with all your Nison. Thank you for sharing your videos. Hope all is well with you and your family. Is Heidi going to continue her videos? Sure hope she does. I'm sure she is very busy. Merry Christmas to you all. Much love .take care
Thank you Carol! Everyone is doing great. She won’t be putting out any videos soon. Life is just a little too busy right now unfortunately. So glad you enjoyed them though!
This is really cool! I am excited for you and the future! You picked perfect music for unloading them into the coral. Buffalo are majedtic and require majestic music 🎼🎵🎶
It takes the entire family and Friends to be successful in all of your endeavors. May the Lord bless you and guide you with the decisions that you want/has to make!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Amen...
I really enjoy the continuation of your story. The animals look healthy and I hope your herd continues to grow. How many bison will your current property support? At what point would you need to either cut back on animals or acquire more land?
So glad you’re enjoying it Donna! We may be at capacity now but won’t know until the summer on how the land reacts to this many animals. We will be renting ground as we grow and then purchasing as we can down the road. Hopefully we will be growing every year but just expanding the ground by renting mostly.
That’s great your back on track. Raising bison is no easy feat. From land to infrastructure and no profit for years. Farming here has driven land prices to record levels around $12,000 per acre and higher.
Just being able to have a herd is a huge accomplishment. It took me 21 years to get bison on my own land. I think you did a damn good job getting your 6 bison on your new land. Having 30 without a partner is way past what you had and an amazing feat. Is there an episode on how to convince my wife to let me get that many? Your way ahead I’m still at the buy your neighbors stage and finish the corral. 1 per 15 acres is not causing much of a disturbance.
Hey Noah, this is so awesome!!! I was wondering which American Icon was bigger; a Bison or a Moose? (I Googled it) I thought you might want to ask your subscribers what they think and then answer that question by the end of the video. I know that you love to teach. Keep on building Bison Man. Paul St Louis.
Man that’s a pretty good question Paul! Without knowing, I would say on average a moose is because I think they’re the size of horses or larger. But I would guess Buffalo can get bigger? Great one!
@@BrokenArrowBison A Bison actually is bigger measuring the front haunch from the ground up to the top hump. Of course a Moose is taller because of the head and antlers. A Bison weighs more than a moose too. Paul St Louis

Yes it’s difficult these days to get started for sure.
Congratulations Noah and Heidi. Just curious is the a chance the 5 heifers might have calves in 2023
Thank you Doug! Yes we’re hoping to see some little calves this spring!
I told my dad that you should get 27 females for soldier creek. I was close, it's hard judging for jamin videos. Congratulations noah/heidi & family
Great guess very close! Thank you!
I'm thinking about getting bison and sell our cattle how many should we start out with and we're can we go to a bison auction
Sounds awesome! Do you research before making the jump. Join the NBA, they have great resources on everything you’re looking for.

How many bison do u have now
30
This is my understanding on hay protein is this. Best first alfalfa , brome , crab grass , and prairie hay. Fescue has no protein .
That’s great William!
