  • I'm sorry that this video isn't as good as the last one. As I began editing it I realized that somehow a lot of the footage I had taken disappeared/gone missing/deleted.
This is Reigando Cave. It's an awesome place to go! Walking among the statues gives a surreal feeling--that you're not alone.

musashi lived there the last few years of his life and committed seppuku there. it is also where he completed the dokkodo. thanks very much for sharing, I'm hoping to visit there soon.

Are you sure it was Musashi Miyamoto who committed suicide and not his son, Mikinosuke? I was told that Musashi died of natural causes. Even his wikipedia says "natural causes, most likely thoracic cancer."
Regardless, it is a wonderful place to visit. I have been to his grave and the cave.

Reminds me of the terra cotta warriors in China

I'm going to Japan in two years. Please, what is the address of the cave Reigando? I have in my path Ganryujima island. But I do not know how to get Reigando. The video you are very aggrandizing. Thank you very much.

I just googled, "Reigando Cave Kumamoto" since there's only one Reigando
Cave in Japan. It comes up right away with information: "589 Matsuomachi Hirayama, Kumamoto, Kumamoto Prefecture 861-5283, Japan"
