It remembers us about the illusions, the things that happened, the ones that we hope that will happen, the love that we feel about our childhood, the perfect love that we felt once about mama. Idk, but I just feel embraced when I listen to this and it makes me feel comfortable enough to put our daily armor away and cry about what the world made with us.
When I was a student, I barely sleep everyday. If I have the luxury to, I suffer insomnia still. Now that I graduated and got a job I feel like all my burning candles are worth it. I give myself the luxury of sleep every single day. Things get better! Believe in yourself. ❤
Kiki’s Delivery Service is one of my favorite movies. In fact all of studio ghiblis movies are my favorite movies. They are just so good at capturing the simplicity of life and its complexity, emotion, and character in such a way that when formed with amazing animation and design you can’t help but fall in love with each and ever one of the movies. They are all so perfect. So unique. So alike. They are so alive with story that even if there is magic or something totally absurd happens you just feel like it is the most real of things and that magic or absurdity just makes it more real. And you sink into each minute of it. And in the moment you need be nothing more than someone experiencing art. Pure, and beautiful, art. Also my nickname is Kiki so I especially love her because of that. This has also turned into a rant so I want to also talk about the detail Ghibli adds to their movies even if it doesn’t necessarily contribute to the main plot it just makes it seem more like someone is recording everything instead of it all being made up. For instannnnce in Kiki’s delivery service when Kiki is walking through the streets I think when she was trying to get away from tombo in the background there is a man talking to someone else and a kid pulling on his shirt to leave. They didn’t have to add that. But they did. They added this tiny detail most people don’t notice and even I didn’t at first but it is the moments like that that truly ties it all up in a little red bow. (Haha I know I am funny because Kiki has a bow in her hair) anyways thank you for listening to my 10 o’clock ramblings of how much I cherish Ghibli movies! I’m surprised you actually read this whole thing. Goodnight. (Ps Ghibli movies also are a childhood thing because when I was little my family and I went to Japan and went to this Ghibli museum and it was wonderful!!! So it is special to me in that way too. I have been using asmr to fall asleep but never actually sleep with and now with this I sleep with it the whole night like 3 4 times a week
