What a blessing to leave while doing something you are most successful at, loved more than anything and dedicated your entire life to. That folks was the mother of all encores. Now, top that! Rest in Peace Sweet Lady.
I studied with her husband, flutist Warren Little and got to meet her and talk to her several times. She was always pleasant and classy. Miss them both. I remember her telling me the story of how they got together. See, Jane was a petite lady playing a large bass. Warren however, was a big fellow playing the flute. She explained that she was just looking for someone who could carry her instrument!
