Why doesn't this video have millions of "likes"??? The speaker has laid out such a clear and precise set of information that is useful for anyone. My path to this video was simple - I needed .75 hours additional alternative training for my foster license and this was on a list of alternative training choices. I don't have a special needs child in my care. However, I have a husband with a traumatic brain injury. Watching this video, I saw that by trial and error over the years I've "accidentally" developed some of these skills. To have names for things is so encouraging!! I will definitely be more conscious of what is happening when he goes into crisis-mode due to this video. I'll be more aware of what I am doing to escalate or de-escalate the situation. These skills are wonderful for literally any and every relationship. My foster daughter is a toddler. I can certainly use this knowledge to help aid her development and help navigate crisis situations. I want to share this video with everyone I meet! THANK YOU!!!

The way you respond to #autism #meltdowns can either help...or harm your relationship with your child.

The Tension Phase is the 1st phase of a #meltdown‬ and/or crisis behavior. This phase is your BEST chance at preventing a full-blown meltdown or crisis behavior. The video is long but it's thorough.

A thorough look at the Tension Phase of #autism and/or #adhd meltdowns. Parent: did you know that your personal space, body language, and tone of voice, influence your child's meltdowns?
