Hi, rgibson69. Thank you for your comment. The most recent OS available for the TS-469L is QTS 4.3.4, but Hyper Data Protector requires QTS 4.5.4 (or later) or QuTS hero h4.5.4 (or later). Here are the full system requirements for Hyper Data Protector: System requirements: x86-based NAS (Intel or AMD); 4GB RAM (or more); QTS 4.5.4 (or later) or QuTS hero h4.5.4 (or later)
Hi, If we finish the golden copy/first time copy, and we make schedule for automatically backup, for the next backup HDP only backup the delta data/just the changes, right? not do fully/golden copy every backup?
Hi, @Manuel. Hyper Data Protector does not support this. Hyper Data Protector supports VMware® and Hyper-V VM backups, but it does not support Citrix Backups. Also, it does not currently support backing up VMs hosted on your NAS, but we have plans to add this feature in the future.
when creating a new repo it gives me no shares to select to put it in, list is blank. im the only user (admin) on the qnap. new shares dont help but theyre all visible/accessible when viewing the devices shares via SMB
Hi, annex 3762. Thank you for your comment. We recently released a new Hyper Data Protector version; you may want to try updating and see if that helps. If not you can submit a support ticket here: service.qnap.com/en/home and we can help you resolve the issue.
We have TS-832PXU-RP QTS 5.1.6.2722 and there are not Hyper Data Protector in App Center.
Is the boot drive specific to each computer or can we have a universal boot drive for all pc’s in inventory?
I have a TS-469L and I'm looking in the AppCenter but I do not get anything for Hyper Data Protector. Is my QNAP too old?

@@QNAPCollege Thanks, but my issue was the qnap was formatted with a Legacy partition which apparently doesnt work with this backup.
