I really love the gen 5 aesthetically but they didn't know how to use it well. My biggest problem with gen 5 is the fact that it takes place in the same universe as gen 4, it doesn't make any sense to reuse what was already perfect and completely ruin a whole story. We all know that they only did that to take the success that gen 4 had, it's really very sad, it had a lot of potential but I don't even believe in an improvement anymore.
I think the biggest hindrance to G5 is the attempts to tie it in to G4. I think if they weren't tied together, and G5 was just its own separate thing, then it would at least be middling. But with so many of the established rules and conventions of G4 just straight up missing from G5, the generation is significantly dragged down.
I actually have an idea for a reboot that I wish with all my heart they would do but sadly I don't have the funds nor the know how to make it a reality it would be called true harmony and a unicorn named Luna would be the main character and she is trying to restore harmony to the shattered and dangerous land along with her four good friends they make discoveries save the day in there home town help each other and have fantastic adventures.
The movie was good. Like really good. It sets up what could’ve been a great story, but the show after dumbs it all down. I can forgive the animation cause budget issues, but the way it’s written just pans it so painfully slow…
You know what I liked about gen four it had an actual direction to go in and with so many different villains we never quite knew what to expect it was fun it was interesting it was exciting and it is very relatable gen 5 is just I don't know what am I really watching it suck and I think it should be cancelled.
Ok. For a start, G5 has been good and okay so far for since in 2 years. However, despite of most people hating G5 and thought it was a worst generation 5 but for some of most people who love G5 so far and my own opinion that I like G5 but I even like G4 and G5 and G4 are on my side. I don't really hate G5 but for some people that making rumors and rants. I know what is truth about changes and futures that people doesn't like changes very much or bad taste for some reason. But everything is not perfect even New Generation 5 despite of confusion conceptions. I know people still like G4 but even sometimes they like Gen 5. So the problem for G5 was a writers and dialogue that people doesn't understand that much. But as always I was saying that it was a "trials and error".
More like bad producing; a very common cause of bad writing. The head creators admitted they did not have much of a plan going in... neither did they have all the rights...
@@Eisenwald64 sadly... I wish Hasbro would just let them write what they want... Instead they just interrupt always. G5 started strong with the whole "we live in a society" thingy; but then it went downhill pretty fast...
@Bombonribon And also pay useage fees if it means giving the series more cohesion with G4 and/redo it from scratch if need be. A little more time allocated to the project might have done them some good.
@@Eisenwald64 What would have done them good would to just not touch on G4 whatsoever... Maybe keep the comics up even with low sales?? But the publisher was going bankrupt so idk... G4 is honestly the best show/mídia I have ever seen in life the more I search about the characters, mythology, production, writing, everything the more rounded it looks, and the more complete it feels. Example is that theory that Celestia planned everything from the beginning alongside Luna and is the secret villain of MLP all along... Well... In the comics that is confirmed since she pretended to not be of help many times so Twili could get confidence in being the next ruler. That type of storytelling is just amazing; considering the comics are beta information so the readers can decide whether or not the information should be taken into account...
@Bombonribon Well, given that they didn't own all the G4 rights , your suggestion should have been the obvious choice; it might have been cheaper or easier.
I find it odd that there was no magic before Sunny Starscout but the ponies still got their cutie marks, which is a matical process.
