Would be fitting that Cinder’s blind desire for power would eventually lead to losing her humanity. Also Salem working on human/grimm hybrids could be what happened to the missing Haven huntsmen from Volume 5, she could be trying to develop her own army of skilled warriors to take on Ozpin’s.
not sure it was heavily implied but was more Qrow assumed that was what happened. Think only time it was mentioned was when Cinder told them that even without Leo’s help that Tyrian and Hazel would have gotten to them eventually.
I honestly would be worried if Salem found a way to create grim versions of people that were close to other characters in the rwby series such as Pyrrha, Adam, Clover, Leonardo, or evening Summer Rose. But then at the end of the day it would be kinda cool to see.

There are many theories about her grimn arm screwing with her thought process, making her more akin to a beast. It would easily explain how she went from terrorist mastermind that concocted the plan that almost started WW2 (3 if you count the faunus revolution) to rage filled psycho that got tricked by a simple red herring like Vernal.
Wait a minute! Speaking of hybrids! This gets me to wonder about Salem and Ozpin daughter's. I mean, we still have not found out if they are dead yet. What if Cinder being a Grimm hybrid, is just a foreshadowing of the return of Salem/Ozpin hybrid daughters? It would be interesting when RWBY series is done, they make a spin off series, where our protagonist grows up and their decendents go against the 4 daughter's of Salem/Ozpin.

I'm glad someone else saw this possibility. I had a similar theory, though it more involved Tyrian being assimilated into a Grimm, along with Adam and Lionheart, since all three could be tied back to monsters in Greek mythology (the scorpion that killed Orion, the Minotaur, and the Nemian Lion). It also involved how each would be a stronger Grimm than the last, with Lionheart having Aura, Adam keeping his semblance, and Tyrian being perfectly in sync with the Grimm. I doubt they'd do it, unfortunately, but I still like the idea.
If there’s a microbial species of Grimm that allows for the symbiosis of the human body...it’s possible it could induce mutations that allow hybridisation with adverse side affects. Think of Migi in Parasyte, he divides his frame into microscopic versions of himself that fix Izumi, they become part of his biology; increasing strength and speed, but also adversely affecting his mind by numbing his ability to feel. Grimm inside the body could have the opposite effects. Cinder’s ego seemed to increase since she got the ‘implant’ and her aggression is more pronounced than before volume 3. It’s probably nothing, correlation is not causation. But my head canon is telling me that there is some potential truth there.
Concept: A Grimm-Human hybrid that follows the style of a werewolf, given just enough magic by Salem to keep the corruption under control and revert back for purposes of infiltration.

Well her changing into a grim where she has all the power she ever wanted but no control over it would be a fitting end to her character. Side note I feel her eventual "achilles heel" might be a certain famous red head who I'm pretty sure is going to be hinted at returning to the series in someway in vol 8. Grim/human hybrids I believe are one of salem's endgame pieces to traumatize our main characters because having to fight against them would be the ultimate physical/emotional challenge and something I could see them doing to raise the stakes. I feel like salem should lose some people on her side and she could easily replace them with grimm hybrids.

I would LOVE to see a Horror Version of Adam's body being a bloodthirsty revenant facing off against Ruby or Team JNPR Specifically Jaune. I would love to see the two clash as I believe that they are two sides of the same coin. In their journeys Jaune has risen to the occasion and even unlocked his Aura to save his Friend while Adam has fallen into Depravity sinking so far that he doesn't care about his cause, the faunus, or even himself but just his hatred towards Blake. In my prospective they both had the potential for greatness Jaune could have fallen and become as bloodthirsty as Adam if he didn't have his friends to hold him up. And Adam might not have become the Man he is(was) today if he still had Blake or anyone Significant. He could have changed the world and eliminated Discrimination.
After seeing the Nuckelvee in the Ren flashback, I wrote a story about how Salem was corrupting Huntsmen or people who opposed her into the more unique Grimm. In the story I wrote I actually tied Nora into the Nuckelvee by making her father a powerful Huntsman who had been melded with the horse who rode and turned into a Grimm. The Nuckelvee after it was released instinctively returned home and killed his former family but Nora was missed in the attack and left traumatised and alone, leading to her stealing food. Then the Nuckelvee started attacking the settlements around. When Lee said "We need a huntsman!" the reason there was none nearby because Nora father had been the regions protector and was now missing. It seem like an interesting twist that the people never knew they were being wiped out by the man who was supposed to protect them. A lot of people have speculated that Salems realm is not the dragon-like landmass but the south eastern desert of Mistral that was shown on the map as darkened. If that was the case in my story, Nora father had travelled into that area because he had seen many Grimm wandering out of the desert. But instead came across Salem and was turned into the Nuckelvee for his trouble.
Salem is also a grimm-human hybrid. Cinder could be her biological daughter. I think this is the reason, why Cinder is the only one with a grimm bodypart. Also this explains, why Ruby could defeat Cinder in season 3. She was part Grimm all along, so she was vulnerable against Silver Eyes. She spoke to the Grimm Dragon like Salem speaks to her Grimm, and Cinder used a Grimm to rob Amber of her Powers. Only Cinder and Salem can interact with Grimm like that. I think they are actually mother and daughter.

Oh man i keep fiddling with the grimm hybrid in my head. The dude was basically full grim no soul but was able to mold and shape their body at will and order other grimm. The mind stayed intact and was basically the only left of the original person. So it was just this super old human intelligence level grimm that could shapeshift and order other Grimm.
I actually never thought of this. It would make sense that while Cinder was knocked out after the Raven fight the corruption would start up, and when the aura regenerates it halts the corruption. An idea I once had. A wraith Grimm that, unlike the spirit Grimm, can take over living things animals, plants, people. With three different options when he takes over a Hunter or Huntress: 1.The Grimm takes complete control 2. The personality of the person is preserved 3. The will of the hunter dominates that of the Grimm What do you think?
I would like to see if an individuals will could overcome a Grimm's innate desire to destroy. In most cases I think the Grimm would take control but I want to see the other two situations!

There have been subtle clues since her tragic passing that we can look at: -Ruby's dream in the episode "Remembrance" in volume 4, where she recalls the conversation between Cinder and Pyrrha on the tower-a conversation Ruby was not there for -Pyrrha's speech to Jaune in "The Emerald Forest": "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee." --> and the themes of protection and immortality that arise from this -and of course the identity of the "red-haired girl", her strange and sudden departure, as well as her seemingly deep love and admiration for Jaune's words to Pyrrha-almost as if she took the words to heart for herself, as well as the magical-like leaf that lead Jaune to the statue. I would love to hear your opinion!
If you are referring to the woman who was talking to Jaune whilst in Argus, I am fairly sure that there are two possibilities. The first and most accurate is that the woman was Phyrra's mother. The second and least accurate considering her visage, she is the sister of Phyrra.
Finally not a freaking vs video (I hate those so much) this actually is interesting well thought out and does not seem like another no brainer content of battles we may never see or outcomes that might be completely different to what we expect if they do happen. Kudos, keep the good content up. On another thought aura is usually light that covers the body, since grimm are darkness themselves they cannot generate light and therefore aura, aura usually has many different colors belonging to the rainbow, light. Something not present in the black color.

I don't think they could be saved. Unless they were in a situation like cinder is currently. (As for why i don't think they could be saved.) If a person was fully transformed into a grimm hybrid. Then their mind and soul would most likely be gone. But if the person only had a grimm limb. (That wasn't a vital part, such as an arm or leg.) Then they could be saved. Because it only affected that part of the body. But if it was like the brain, or heart. Then that person would be good as dead.

It's very interesting the idea of a Grimm puppeteer, being as you said a human-grimm fusion or a possession type grimm, but I got some theories for the channel: The first one is about Salem and if she could inherent a maiden power since she may be old in age been in Remnant since the begging of time but she got infinite youth and the blessing of immortality as you said, this is a theory I don't my sources to base off, but the second one is What a the limits of the summoning aspect of the glyphs semblance, can Weiss summon the Atlesian Paladin she defeat in the fall of Beacon with the help of her Arma gigas sword, being a point where surpass herself summoning a part of an enemy being the first time she summon something in it's actual size, her summons are: the Arma gigas defeated by herself, the Boarbatusk also defeated by herself and the Queen Lancer defeated by her summoned Arma gigas. Fascinating theory. I'd like to see Cinder eventually become the monster she is. It'd be a... Grimm fate ;D. On another note, since the Grimm arm is what steals the Maiden powers, I think that Salem is using Cinder to gather the Maiden powers and then have her Grimm arm take the powers straight from Cinder and give it to herself. And on a final note, I think it'd be cool if, when Salem sees Cinder's arm she is surprised (positively) by the corruption and use this new information to make Grimm/Human hybrids.
Saturn's ring but salem says it herself doesn’t she say in volume 4 something like “it is because of the maidens powers” why she was hurt so bad plus to be fair penny is a robot too so she would no where near be as hurt as cinder would
I'm starting to think something like this could happen to Qrow. We've seen the effects of Salem's fear turn Lionheart into a cowardly traitor and turn Ironwood heartless. So far, other than his drinking, Qrow hasn't really embodied the Scarecrow missing a brain. What if Salem brainwashes him or controls his mind through something like that octopus grimm?
i know this isnt very related to the topic of the video, but im wondering a lot about RWBY characters' emblems, some of them dont seem very clear of what the emblem is showing, or how they relate to their respectives semblances. maybe this could be a cool area for theory crafting or analysis? just an idea, and i'd be excited to watch a video about it!

What's interesting is that what's left of cinder's shoulder is clearly hemorrhaging or at least inflamed. Suggesting that there's a reaction going on either an immune response or damage to blood vessels
to be fair I love the idea of hybrids as I'm sure we've all done I mentally created ocs (I can't draw so mentally pictured one day whilst bored) one of them was a artificial human with grimm "particles" (the black mist that grimm seem to produce) he had no aura but regenerated faster and had the ability to mimic grimm powers. personally I'd love to know more about the grimm biology rather than the fact of oh evil things the god of darkness/Salem can replicate
I thought of a theory where salem in a way poisoned Adam making him listen to her and slowly weakening him from the inside of his body, so that she could use him as she pleases which would help knowing how the fact about how convincingly he lost to blake and yang also the fact about how little he cared for his cause and just went after blake. As instead of seeing blake as a person, Adam saw her as the past when the white fang was gaining great power and was the only way he could be saved. this was because Adam having a connection to her which in his poisoned condition grew this twisted affection to her and salem still having use for Adam twisted that affection he gained into killing her as to not lose a highly value person like Adam. Which would lead to Phoenix tuning him into a grimm and having full control over him now.
Ik ik that I'm speaking for the fan artist in me but if she aka Salim can make fused and who's to say that she can't put Cinder and Summer together as their re created by grim that's just scary and it's only right I think Summer and Cynder together is scary in its own right but contaminating them with a grimm that's a whole other level of things that I am not prepared to deal with in the RWBY fandom that is if it's not going to end next volume, but that would be a good time for ruby to unlock the full power of her eyes, or for Summer to have a moment with her telling ruby to put her to rest. Until I saw this, I thought the idea of Adam returning to the series was terrible, that it would only serve to hurt the story, but you've swayed me. Now I think it would be awesome for him to come back, though only as a Grimm.
I can't help thinking about the conversation between Salem and Cinder where Salem said, "make it fear you" I think she was talking about the grim arm trying to take over Cinder. The grim are attracted to negative emotion. I think if Cinder suffers self doubt or fear, the grim takes more of her body but if Cinder can make the Grim afraid of her it will stay where it is and obey her will. Talking about grim/human hybrid, I think Salem is also a grim/human hybrid. Her immortality and her arrogance and confidence allows her to co-exist with and exert control over the grim(s) that are inside her. This is how she could teach Cinder how to control the grim arm she has.
I've Been Thinking over this hybridization for some time now and even created a character out of it with a bit of solid exposition to back it up (at least I hope I'm still working the kinks out) but what if Salem had somewhat succeeded in creating this hybrid Human Grimm that resulted in the human having a permanent Grimm Arm with plating and an altered semblance (think a transformation type semblance, like a Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry). My idea is that the character was a lab rat for Salem to try and experiment on to actually learn how to hybridize humans and Grimm, but before completing the whole assimilation thing, this human escapes with only their first name and vows to get back at Salem. Maybe they have a very fragile alliance with Ruby's group, if they ever meet each other, but grow to trust one another and can be a huge help in fighting Salem and maybe giving them their knowledge on her. It's just a thought I had and I doubt I'm the only one to think of this type of setup but it would be so cool to see. P.S. I just really want to see a character with a Devil Trigger or Transformation Semblance
I hope this is the case it would make for a very interesting plot point in the upcoming season and would open up the door for a variety of different confrontations
I just thought something, if Cinder dies, whether or not she turns full-Grimm, the Shadow Hand could be "programmed" to transfer the Maiden powers she has to Salem, it will not make her so much powerful but it will still be that amount of power that could never go back to Ozpin's faction.

I think if Cinder could be like Venom or Carnage if she ever continues down this road and Salem decides to make her a more efficient warrior. The shadow hand could protect Cinder acting like a symbiote without corrupting her fully and resisting through willpower but a side effect could be she has more Grimm like characteristics maybe she could have fangs or the markings making them like tattoos. And if her corruption reaches farther enough making her more beast than human I’d love it if someone (a relative like her mother, Neo or her siblings) in the future came to Cinder, endures her rage and calmed the beast enough for them to suppress it
I could maybe see Rooster Teeth surprising us with a grimm hybrid for Tortwick. And the best part is that he seems mentally crazy enough to actually endure it and remain in control. Worst case he ends up like the joker or deadpool. While I wasn't thinking about this before hand, what about Winter? She is in a terrible state right now and it isn't too hard to imagine that her back up might not reach her. Not with Salem upon them now. Regardless, I do see something interesting happening with her. Anyways, going back to Cinder though.... I'm 100% sure that Salem has her sneaky hands in this whole thing. The moment Cinder has outlasted her usefulness to Salem, that grimm arm will take over instantly.
I don't think Salem considered the possibility of human-Grimm hybrids before, but when she sees the advancing Grimm flesh up Cinder's arm, she begins laying plans to create the ultimate killing machine - a being uninhibited by human emotion, but with an Aura and Semblance and the ability to think and perform complex strategies. However this backfires slightly, as Cinder's worst qualities are amplified along with her Grimmification, but she's still a very effective combatant and one that gives RWBY a lot of trouble before they finally kill her.
I think Cinder's semblance may be the ability to manipulate power in a couple of ways. Based on her angry outbursts about power-hoarding is v6 while fighting Winter, I believe Cinder was helpless against a very strong, but cold person, who used whatever they power they had over her to play with her like she was a toy. She likely killed this person and vowed never to be that powerless again. I think she knows inherently that power isn't just flat out the ability to kill things, but also manipulation and tact. I think this is the primary connection between her character(the moral one) and her semblance. The ability to manipulate power, which includes stealing it(via the arm), injecting it into things(her arrows), and manipulating air and dust to make her black glass.
I would love to see Human/Grimm hybrids in the series it has been something I always wanted to see in the show for a long time. I sometimes call them Grimm Arrancars which are these Soul Reaper/Hollow hybrids from the anime bleach. I could imagine that when vol 8 ends a post credit sense is shown that Salem has a lot of them in her castle for a long time waiting for the right moment and then being the next main treat in vol 9/Shade Academy Arc.
My theory is Either Salem can control the growth of Grimm arm and thus can fully control how fast someone turns into a Grimm ‘Revenant’ but the silver eyes can either reverse the damage or can destroy a person’s Grimm corruption at a massive cost to the user’s aura.

That was a glove. Salem gave her a Grimm arm in Vol 4 when she lost her voice and eye and (though we dont find out till later) her arm. When Salem, Cinder Emerald and Mercury are at Salems lair and she ask Cinder to tell her if Ozpin is really dead. Before that shes telling her how to control her Grimm arm. How it has a hunger and she must be stronger than it to control it or something
I actually hope that both Cinder and Adam (if he returns at all) end up succumbing completely to grimm influence. I think that would make each one of them a much bigger and more prominent threat, especially since it seems Salem has unwavering control over grimm. Both of them were powerful, both of them had viable backing with plans that were diffucult to counter IF THEY'D 'A STUCK WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAN! Both of them were villains that would've been even more deadly effective if they would just get out of their own way. That was one of the big reasons I didn't quite view them as potentially persistent threats, because they were so unapologetically self-destructive, damages extending to their organizations and causes. Due to their ages, mistakes like that are realistic, but I'm definitely ready for Salem to actually rock this planet and show Ozpin and the rest this was never a game. Then I want QROWBY, JNR and friends to kick things up a few more notches. It's cool what the crew is trying to accomplish, but their goal of "Defeat Salem" is surprisingly vague, and in the grand scheme of things, I think they're missing the forest for the trees. Human-grimm hybrids with human-ish behavior and hive-soldier mindset might give them a better idea of the sheer span and scale of Salem's endgame. Throw in an grimmified ally that was thought to be close, or dear. Velvet. Neptune. Make them *gruel* . Edit: paragraph format. easier on the eyes... @.@
First as far as I have seen in RWBY the only way grim summer rose would show up is the hero/hero's having to kill people they love because they don't want to be pawns of evil clecae Even if Adam came back as el diablo toro the emotions of love or posesive boyfriend would be the perfect way to end his story . Adam toras the beast that chaced the woman he loved away only to learn that if you love someone you have to let them go . After he is turned into an actual beast
I honestly think the fact Cinder has the powers of a Maiden (magic) that makes it possible for her to successfully use Grimm as prosthetics. Or else, why Cinder and not Tyrian as well? Of course it seems even with magic, Cinder lacks some major characteristic to prevent the Grimm limb from apperantly assimilating her.
If Cinder's Aura is what's keeping the grimmification at bay for the most part. All Salem would have to do is mercilessly beat Cinder until the infestation got to a point where Salem would have better control over her Agent. Seeing how Salem knows that Cinder has kinda allowed her hatred towards Ruby seems to be Cinders number one goal, compared to Salem's. Also, in the case of a Grimm Pyrrah. Cinder incinerated her body, she got dusted, so unless Cinder has the ability to manifest Pyrrah like how she an manifest her weapons, that idea is out the window.
Oh boy. If I am going, to be honest with you. I believe this will be like the final fight type of stuff. Like bring old characters that have passed away or went missing during the whole show would be one hell of a ride. Especially if they had a grasp on their fighting before they got Grimmofied. Like if we are going to be honest, I would love to see Pyrrha, Clover, Adam, Summer Rose, Cinder even. But I also see Salem having more huntsman/huntresses being held up somewhere in her large castle. Im sure Tyrian would give his humanity to his mistress... not like he has any anymore. But that would be one hell of a ride. Even Roman! God that would be torture for Neo. Pyrrha would be a tramatic fight for Jaune, nora and Ren. Clover would be a troubling fight for Qrow, Summer for Ruby, Adam for Blake and Yang. How far would they go to try and not fight them, or how far would they go to try and defeat them as fast as possible? Who knows.
I don't know if you played Final Fantasy 15 but throughout the story one Character is revived/infected with darkness and has to fight the main Characters against his will. During the whole fight he is conscious and begs them to end his suffering and kill him. That's something I could also see happening to Adam. A Grimm infects his body and forces him to go on and eventually fight Team RWBY or someone else and maybe they could tie it in with some Backstory to Adam or something in that direction.
One other aspect worth mentioning I think is that in the databook is that the maiden magic grants Cinder a certain level of influence over Grimm and I'd imagine this applies to her own arm. And technically speaking. Cinder is not first Grimm/human hybrid. Salem herself technically counts. Based on what we heard from Jinn. It can be suggested that if a human were to be dipped into the pool of destruction. That were it not for her immortality. It would have likely destroyed her. So yes it is quite likely the destruction aspect is corrupting and destroying Cinder's flesh as it tries to overtake her. I can't see them bringing Adam back so I won't comment there. This reminds me of an old joke I had though that the Shadow people in volume one are the remains of humans eaten by Grimm. Grimm scat if you will. I'd also like to ask something here. Every volume I've made a point of trying to place the main characters in order of weakest to strongest based on how they have grown of regressed over the volume. Like while normally Yang is among the top. In volume 3 she would be reduced to the bottom and still have a low placement in 4 due to her broken mindset. I'm curious how you would place RWBY and JNPR post volume 7. And given how Oscar was the only one seemingly able to keep up with Neo and presumably due to his growing merger with Ozma. Where would you place him now among them.
I can see Cinder turning into a Grimm, maybe Salem gives her an ultimatum with a mightnight deadline hehe. Not sure about Adam returning though, but if this happened I could roll with it.
With the powerful servant thing... My mind went to Tock. What if the parasite combined with Tock's dying body... Suspending her body... I am imagining Tock's body covered in the black and bone armor, but the exposed parts of her original body are zombified, but still breathing... Then what if Grimm Tock goes for Maria? A Grimm being invincible for an entire minute and running at those crazy speeds would be terrifying.
Maybe thats what happened to summer maybe she was used as a test subject for this or maybe became one that would be a interesting plot point for Ruby's character

Granted it's very unlikely. Sense she was used as a onetime plot point. But it would be interesting to see her come back. IF it was possible.

You have a point on Salem using people to make these Grimm Hybrids. I remember in the book "After the Fall" that Carmine Esclados was part of a trafficking ring that took people with highly potent Semblances for unknown reasons. It could be possible that these unknown buyers could be indirectly working for Salem and her expirements. This makes me worried about Jaune. Throughout the franchise Jaune is the only person we've seen who has a higher than average aura. Could he be used in these expirements or does he already have Grimm in him?
What could be both awesome and disturbing if Adam were to come back is that he could come back but it wouldn't be him anymore. Instead he could be either possessed or assimilated, turned into some kind of grimm version of William Birkin from Resident evil 2.

I made an OC that has a Semblance that is purely biological, and physically affects those who have it. Is it okay? It is called 'Grimmborn'. It is kinda a passive Semblance, but not really. Its passive effects are (Going in order of cosmetic, emotional, then physical): His eyes are black. This is the most effective way to identify a Child of Grimm (What people with the Grimmborn Semblance are called) under the age of 13. Its emotional effects are: The person in unable to feel emotion, or, if they DO end up feeling emotion, it's usually bursts of uncontrollable rage. Its physical effects are: Once they reach the age of thirteen, one or both of their arms begin to turn black, a similar color to Cinder's replacement arm in Volume 7. The arm also operates the same way, with the added effect of being able to shapeshift into some kind of weapon (Although it is less effective than a normal weapon, due to the One: The fact that they don't have Aura, so they can't protect that arm from damage, and 2: The arm is still made of Grimm flesh. It can be cut off, even while the Child of Grimm os attacking). This also erases any Faunus Trait the Child of Grimm has. Children of Grimm are usually seen as monsters, due to their connection to the Creatures of Grimm (which is how the Semblance got its name). Its active abilities are the ability to shapeshift (Like I said earlier) one or both of their arms into weapons, the ability to communicate and, in some rare cases (even rarer than having the Semblance in the first place.), control Creatures of Grimm, and Full Grimm Metamorphosis (The ability to completely change into a Creature of Grimm {They act like Grimm during this}, and back.). The main weakness of this Semblance is the lack of an Aura, And, as they have no Aura, they have no Soul. Also, this is like the most barebones explanation of the Semblance, because I didn't go into detail on how it actually affects the person with it. They are treated worse than the Faunus in Volume 1, to the point where they are hunted and killed just for existing.

Would be fitting that Cinder’s blind desire for power would eventually lead to losing her humanity. Also Salem working on human/grimm hybrids could be what happened to the missing Haven huntsmen from Volume 5, she could be trying to develop her own army of skilled warriors to take on Ozpin’s.

There are many theories about her grimn arm screwing with her thought process, making her more akin to a beast. I'm glad someone else saw this possibility. I had a similar theory, though it more involved Tyrian being assimilated into a Grimm, along with Adam and Lionheart, since all three could be tied back to monsters in Greek mythology (the scorpion that killed Orion, the Minotaur, and the Nemian Lion). It also involved how each would be a stronger Grimm than the last, with Lionheart having Aura, Adam keeping his semblance, and Tyrian being perfectly in sync with the Grimm. I doubt they'd do it, unfortunately, but I still like the idea.

If there’s a microbial species of Grimm that allows for the symbiosis of the human body...it’s possible it could induce mutations that allow hybridisation with adverse side affects. Think of Migi in Parasyte, he divides his frame into microscopic versions of himself that fix Izumi, they become part of his biology; increasing strength and speed, but also adversely affecting his mind by numbing his ability to feel.
Grimm inside the body could have the opposite effects. Cinder’s ego seemed to increase since she got the ‘implant’ and her aggression is more pronounced than before volume 3. It’s probably nothing, correlation is not causation. But my head canon is telling me that there is some potential truth there.
Concept: A Grimm-Human hybrid that follows the style of a werewolf, given just enough magic by Salem to keep the corruption under control and revert back for purposes of infiltration.

Well her changing into a grim where she has all the power she ever wanted but no control over it would be a fitting end to her character. Side note I feel her eventual "achilles heel" might be a certain famous red head who I'm pretty sure is going to be hinted at returning to the series in someway in vol 8. Grim/human hybrids I believe are one of salem's endgame pieces to traumatize our main characters because having to fight against them would be the ultimate physical/emotional challenge and something I could see them doing to raise the stakes. I feel like salem should lose some people on her side and she could easily replace them with grimm hybrids.

I would love to see the two clash as I believe that they are two sides of the same coin. In their journeys Jaune has risen to the occasion and even unlocked his Aura to save his Friend while Adam has fallen into Depravity sinking so far that he doesn't care about his cause, the faunus, or even himself but just his hatred towards Blake.
In my prospective they both had the potential for greatness Jaune could have fallen and become as bloodthirsty as Adam if he didn't have his friends to hold him up. And Adam might not have become the Man he is(was) today if he still had Blake or anyone Significant. He could have changed the world and eliminated Discrimination.

After seeing the Nuckelvee in the Ren flashback, I wrote a story about how Salem was corrupting Huntsmen or people who opposed her into the more unique Grimm. In the story I wrote I actually tied Nora into the Nuckelvee by making her father a powerful Huntsman who had been melded with the horse who rode and turned into a Grimm. The Nuckelvee after it was released instinctively returned home and killed his former family but Nora was missed in the attack and left traumatised and alone, leading to her stealing food. Then the Nuckelvee started attacking the settlements around. When Lee said "We need a huntsman!" the reason there was none nearby because Nora father had been the regions protector and was now missing. It seem like an interesting twist that the people never knew they were being wiped out by the man who was supposed to protect them. A lot of people have speculated that Salems realm is not the dragon-like landmass but the south eastern desert of Mistral that was shown on the map as darkened. If that was the case in my story, Nora father had travelled into that area because he had seen many Grimm wandering out of the desert. But instead came across Salem and was turned into the Nuckelvee for his trouble.

I think this is the reason, why Cinder is the only one with a grimm bodypart.
Also this explains, why Ruby could defeat Cinder in season 3. She was part Grimm all along, so she was vulnerable against Silver Eyes.

Oh man i keep fiddling with the grimm hybrid in my head. The dude was basically full grim no soul but was able to mold and shape their body at will and order other grimm. The mind stayed intact and was basically the only left of the original person. So it was just this super old human intelligence level grimm that could shapeshift and order other Grimm.

If you are referring to the woman who was talking to Jaune whilst in Argus, I am fairly sure that there are two possibilities. The first and most accurate is that the woman was Phyrra's mother. The second and least accurate considering her visage, she is the sister of Phyrra.

Finally not a freaking vs video (I hate those so much) this actually is interesting well thought out and does not seem like another no brainer content of battles we may never see or outcomes that might be completely different to what we expect if they do happen. Kudos, keep the good content up. On another thought aura is usually light that covers the body, since grimm are darkness themselves they cannot generate light and therefore aura, aura usually has many different colors belonging to the rainbow, light. Something not present in the black color.

It's very interesting the idea of a Grimm puppeteer, being as you said a human-grimm fusion or a possession type grimm, but I got some theories for the channel:
The first one is about Salem and if she could inherent a maiden power since she may be old in age been in Remnant since the begging of time but she got infinite youth and the blessing of immortality as you said, this is a theory I don't my sources to base off, but the second one is What a the limits of the summoning aspect of the glyphs semblance, can Weiss summon the Atlesian Paladin she defeat in the fall of Beacon with the help of her Arma gigas sword, being a point where surpass herself summoning a part of an enemy being the first time she summon something in it's actual size, her summons are: the Arma gigas defeated by herself, the Boarbatusk also defeated by herself and the Queen Lancer defeated by her summoned Arma gigas. I would to know what you think about this theories.

On another note, since the Grimm arm is what steals the Maiden powers, I think that Salem is using Cinder to gather the Maiden powers and then have her Grimm arm take the powers straight from Cinder and give it to herself.
And on a final note, I think it'd be cool if, when Salem sees Cinder's arm she is surprised (positively) by the corruption and use this new information to make Grimm/Human hybrids.

I'm starting to think something like this could happen to Qrow. We've seen the effects of Salem's fear turn Lionheart into a cowardly traitor and turn Ironwood heartless. So far, other than his drinking, Qrow hasn't really embodied the Scarecrow missing a brain. What if Salem brainwashes him or controls his mind through something like that octopus grimm?

I thought of a theory where salem in a way poisoned Adam making him listen to her and slowly weakening him from the inside of his body, so that she could use him as she pleases which would help knowing how the fact about how convincingly he lost to blake and yang also the fact about how little he cared for his cause and just went after blake. As instead of seeing blake as a person, Adam saw her as the past when the white fang was gaining great power and was the only way he could be saved. this was because Adam having a connection to her which in his poisoned condition grew this twisted affection to her and salem still having use for Adam twisted that affection he gained into killing her as to not lose a highly value person like Adam. Which would lead to Phoenix tuning him into a grimm and having full control over him now.
Ik ik that I'm speaking for the fan artist in me but if she aka Salim can make fused and who's to say that she can't put Cinder and Summer together as their re created by grim that's just scary and it's only right I think Summer and Cynder together is scary in its own right but contaminating them with a grimm that's a whole other level of things that I am not prepared to deal with in the RWBY fandom that is if it's not going to end next volume, but that would be a good time for ruby to unlock the full power of her eyes, or for Summer to have a moment with her telling ruby to put her to rest. Until I saw this, I thought the idea of Adam returning to the series was terrible, that it would only serve to hurt the story, but you've swayed me. Now I think it would be awesome for him to come back, though only as a Grimm.
I can't help thinking about the conversation between Salem and Cinder where Salem said, "make it fear you" I think she was talking about the grim arm trying to take over Cinder. The grim are attracted to negative emotion. I think if Cinder suffers self doubt or fear, the grim takes more of her body but if Cinder can make the Grim afraid of her it will stay where it is and obey her will.
Talking about grim/human hybrid, I think Salem is also a grim/human hybrid. Her immortality and her arrogance and confidence allows her to co-exist with and exert control over the grim(s) that are inside her. This is how she could teach Cinder how to control the grim arm she has.
I've Been Thinking over this hybridization for some time now and even created a character out of it with a bit of solid exposition to back it up (at least I hope I'm still working the kinks out) but what if Salem had somewhat succeeded in creating this hybrid Human Grimm that resulted in the human having a permanent Grimm Arm with plating and an altered semblance (think a transformation type semblance, like a Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry). My idea is that the character was a lab rat for Salem to try and experiment on to actually learn how to hybridize humans and Grimm, but before completing the whole assimilation thing, this human escapes with only their first name and vows to get back at Salem. Maybe they have a very fragile alliance with Ruby's group, if they ever meet each other, but grow to trust one another and can be a huge help in fighting Salem and maybe giving them their knowledge on her. It's just a thought I had and I doubt I'm the only one to think of this type of setup but it would be so cool to see. P.S. I just really want to see a character with a Devil Trigger or Transformation Semblance
I hope this is the case it would make for a very interesting plot point in the upcoming season and would open up the door for a variety of different confrontations
I just thought something, if Cinder dies, whether or not she turns full-Grimm, the Shadow Hand could be "programmed" to transfer the Maiden powers she has to Salem, it will not make her so much powerful but it will still be that amount of power that could never go back to Ozpin's faction.

I think if Cinder could be like Venom or Carnage if she ever continues down this road and Salem decides to make her a more efficient warrior.
The shadow hand could protect Cinder acting like a symbiote without corrupting her fully and resisting through willpower but a side effect could be she has more Grimm like characteristics maybe she could have fangs or the markings making them like tattoos.
And if her corruption reaches farther enough making her more beast than human I’d love it if someone (a relative like her mother, Neo or her siblings) in the future came to Cinder, endures her rage and calmed the beast enough for them to suppress it

I could maybe see Rooster Teeth surprising us with a grimm hybrid for Tortwick. And the best part is that he seems mentally crazy enough to actually endure it and remain in control. Worst case he ends up like the joker or deadpool.
While I wasn't thinking about this before hand, what about Winter? She is in a terrible state right now and it isn't too hard to imagine that her back up might not reach her. Not with Salem upon them now. Regardless, I do see something interesting happening with her.
Anyways, going back to Cinder though.... I'm 100% sure that Salem has her sneaky hands in this whole thing. The moment Cinder has outlasted her usefulness to Salem, that grimm arm will take over instantly.
I don't think Salem considered the possibility of human-Grimm hybrids before, but when she sees the advancing Grimm flesh up Cinder's arm, she begins laying plans to create the ultimate killing machine - a being uninhibited by human emotion, but with an Aura and Semblance and the ability to think and perform complex strategies. However this backfires slightly, as Cinder's worst qualities are amplified along with her Grimmification, but she's still a very effective combatant and one that gives RWBY a lot of trouble before they finally kill her.
I think Cinder's semblance may be the ability to manipulate power in a couple of ways. Based on her angry outbursts about power-hoarding is v6 while fighting Winter, I believe Cinder was helpless against a very strong, but cold person, who used whatever they power they had over her to play with her like she was a toy. She likely killed this person and vowed never to be that powerless again. I think she knows inherently that power isn't just flat out the ability to kill things, but also manipulation and tact. I think this is the primary connection between her character(the moral one) and her semblance. The ability to manipulate power, which includes stealing it(via the arm), injecting it into things(her arrows), and manipulating air and dust to make her black glass.
I would love to see Human/Grimm hybrids in the series it has been something I always wanted to see in the show for a long time. I sometimes call them Grimm Arrancars which are these Soul Reaper/Hollow hybrids from the anime bleach. I could imagine that when vol 8 ends a post credit sense is shown that Salem has a lot of them in her castle for a long time waiting for the right moment and then being the next main treat in vol 9/Shade Academy Arc.
My theory is Either Salem can control the growth of Grimm arm and thus can fully control how fast someone turns into a Grimm ‘Revenant’ but the silver eyes can either reverse the damage or can destroy a person’s Grimm corruption at a massive cost to the user’s aura.

Didn't we first see Cinder's Grimm hand in volume 3 when she took some of the fall maidens power?
That was a glove. Salem gave her a Grimm arm in Vol 4 when she lost her voice and eye and (though we dont find out till later) her arm. When Salem, Cinder Emerald and Mercury are at Salems lair and she ask Cinder to tell her if Ozpin is really dead. Before that shes telling her how to control her Grimm arm. How it has a hunger and she must be stronger than it to control it or something
I actually hope that both Cinder and Adam (if he returns at all) end up succumbing completely to grimm influence. I think that would make each one of them a much bigger and more prominent threat, especially since it seems Salem has unwavering control over grimm.
Both of them were powerful, both of them had viable backing with plans that were diffucult to counter IF THEY'D 'A STUCK WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAN! Both of them were villains that would've been even more deadly effective if they would just get out of their own way. That was one of the big reasons I didn't quite view them as potentially persistent threats, because they were so unapologetically self-destructive, damages extending to their organizations and causes.
Due to their ages, mistakes like that are realistic, but I'm definitely ready for Salem to actually rock this planet and show Ozpin and the rest this was never a game. Then I want QROWBY, JNR and friends to kick things up a few more notches. It's cool what the crew is trying to accomplish, but their goal of "Defeat Salem" is surprisingly vague, and in the grand scheme of things, I think they're missing the forest for the trees.
Human-grimm hybrids with human-ish behavior and hive-soldier mindset might give them a better idea of the sheer span and scale of Salem's endgame. Throw in an grimmified ally that was thought to be close, or dear. Velvet. Neptune. Make them *gruel* .

First as far as I have seen in RWBY the only way grim summer rose would show up is the hero/hero's having to kill people they love because they don't want to be pawns of evil clecae

I honestly think the fact Cinder has the powers of a Maiden (magic) that makes it possible for her to successfully use Grimm as prosthetics. Or else, why Cinder and not Tyrian as well?
Of course it seems even with magic, Cinder lacks some major characteristic to prevent the Grimm limb from apperantly assimilating her.
If Cinder's Aura is what's keeping the grimmification at bay for the most part. All Salem would have to do is mercilessly beat Cinder until the infestation got to a point where Salem would have better control over her Agent. Seeing how Salem knows that Cinder has kinda allowed her hatred towards Ruby seems to be Cinders number one goal, compared to Salem's. Also, in the case of a Grimm Pyrrah. Cinder incinerated her body, she got dusted, so unless Cinder has the ability to manifest Pyrrah like how she an manifest her weapons, that idea is out the window.
Oh boy. If I am going, to be honest with you. I believe this will be like the final fight type of stuff. Like bring old characters that have passed away or went missing during the whole show would be one hell of a ride. Especially if they had a grasp on their fighting before they got Grimmofied. Like if we are going to be honest, I would love to see Pyrrha, Clover, Adam, Summer Rose, Cinder even. But I also see Salem having more huntsman/huntresses being held up somewhere in her large castle. Im sure Tyrian would give his humanity to his mistress... not like he has any anymore. But that would be one hell of a ride. Even Roman! God that would be torture for Neo. Pyrrha would be a tramatic fight for Jaune, nora and Ren. Clover would be a troubling fight for Qrow, Summer for Ruby, Adam for Blake and Yang. How far would they go to try and not fight them, or how far would they go to try and defeat them as fast as possible? Who knows.
I don't know if you played Final Fantasy 15 but throughout the story one Character is revived/infected with darkness and has to fight the main Characters against his will. During the whole fight he is conscious and begs them to end his suffering and kill him. That's something I could also see happening to Adam. A Grimm infects his body and forces him to go on and eventually fight Team RWBY or someone else and maybe they could tie it in with some Backstory to Adam or something in that direction.
One other aspect worth mentioning I think is that in the databook is that the maiden magic grants Cinder a certain level of influence over Grimm and I'd imagine this applies to her own arm. And technically speaking. Cinder is not first Grimm/human hybrid. Salem herself technically counts.
Based on what we heard from Jinn. It can be suggested that if a human were to be dipped into the pool of destruction. That were it not for her immortality. It would have likely destroyed her. So yes it is quite likely the destruction aspect is corrupting and destroying Cinder's flesh as it tries to overtake her.
I can't see them bringing Adam back so I won't comment there.
This reminds me of an old joke I had though that the Shadow people in volume one are the remains of humans eaten by Grimm. Grimm scat if you will.

Every volume I've made a point of trying to place the main characters in order of weakest to strongest based on how they have grown of regressed over the volume.
Like while normally Yang is among the top. In volume 3 she would be reduced to the bottom and still have a low placement in 4 due to her broken mindset.
I'm curious how you would place RWBY and JNPR post volume 7. And given how Oscar was the only one seemingly able to keep up with Neo and presumably due to his growing merger with Ozma. Where would you place him now among them.
I can see Cinder turning into a Grimm, maybe Salem gives her an ultimatum with a mightnight deadline hehe. Not sure about Adam returning though, but if this happened I could roll with it.
With the powerful servant thing... My mind went to Tock. What if the parasite combined with Tock's dying body... Suspending her body... I am imagining Tock's body covered in the black and bone armor, but the exposed parts of her original body are zombified, but still breathing... Then what if Grimm Tock goes for Maria? A Grimm being invincible for an entire minute and running at those crazy speeds would be terrifying.

You have a point on Salem using people to make these Grimm Hybrids. I remember in the book "After the Fall" that Carmine Esclados was part of a trafficking ring that took people with highly potent Semblances for unknown reasons.
It could be possible that these unknown buyers could be indirectly working for Salem and her expirements.
This makes me worried about Jaune. Throughout the franchise Jaune is the only person we've seen who has a higher than average aura. Could he be used in these expirements or does he already have Grimm in him?

I made an OC that has a Semblance that is purely biological, and physically affects those who have it. Is it okay? It is called 'Grimmborn'. It is kinda a passive Semblance, but not really. Its passive effects are (Going in order of cosmetic, emotional, then physical): His eyes are black. This is the most effective way to identify a Child of Grimm (What people with the Grimmborn Semblance are called) under the age of 13. Its emotional effects are: The person in unable to feel emotion, or, if they DO end up feeling emotion, it's usually bursts of uncontrollable rage. Its physical effects are: Once they reach the age of thirteen, one or both of their arms begin to turn black, a similar color to Cinder's replacement arm in Volume 7. The arm also operates the same way, with the added effect of being able to shapeshift into some kind of weapon (Although it is less effective than a normal weapon, due to the One: The fact that they don't have Aura, so they can't protect that arm from damage, and 2: The arm is still made of Grimm flesh. It can be cut off, even while the Child of Grimm os attacking). This also erases any Faunus Trait the Child of Grimm has. Children of Grimm are usually seen as monsters, due to their connection to the Creatures of Grimm (which is how the Semblance got its name).
Its active abilities are the ability to shapeshift (Like I said earlier) one or both of their arms into weapons, the ability to communicate and, in some rare cases (even rarer than having the Semblance in the first place.), control Creatures of Grimm, and Full Grimm Metamorphosis (The ability to completely change into a Creature of Grimm {They act like Grimm during this}, and back.).
The main weakness of this Semblance is the lack of an Aura, And, as they have no Aura, they have no Soul.
Also, this is like the most barebones explanation of the Semblance, because I didn't go into detail on how it actually affects the person with it. They are treated worse than the Faunus in Volume 1, to the point where they are hunted and killed just for existing.
