Marcelito Castro Pomoy IS THE REAL DEAL. I had the great privilege of meeting and watching him in concert in June in Toronto. Watching him live was like an out of body experience. The videos DO NOT do his voice any justice. Proud to be Filipino. Cheers from Toronto.

Marcelito's story is nearly as amazing as his voice. His mother rejected him at birth and custody was given to his father (they had separated), unfortunately his father was serving a lengthy prison sentence, so little baby Marcelito spent the first 2 years of his life in prison with his father. He was then adopted by a prison guard, but it was not a happy childhood and at 9 years old he discovered they were not his real parents and he ran away. He survived by selling food snacks on the city streets. He says he learnt to sing with two voices (not uncommon in the Philippines) as a way to combat the loneliness. He earned extra by singing in bars and cafe's. He met a girl, fell in love and they married. They now have a child of their own, and he has been reconciled to his birth father. He entered Philippines Got Talent last year 2016, and of course won it hands down. He has turned his life around and I am so happy for him.

Hahaha he is real, and he is a famous singer in our country, Philippines, we are proud of him, and he has many songs, both female and male versions...and he is really amazingly unbelievable....unique, rare, what else...it's like he is being possessed when he is singing dual voice.
He joined a singing contest here in the Philippines. And he performed a Duo (a duet) of Celine and Andrea Bocceli, the opera guy. He is just one of the best singers. I am from the Philippines by the way. Thank you for doing these reactions of our Filipino singers. God bless you.

It was spanish language , Italian is pertaining to people in Italy. AS you say - American? , they are the people in America, but their language its American English specifically as there is a British English.

Andrea Bocelli....the opera singer. He started his life out and at the age of 2 yrs. old....his mother left him. Not too long after, his father was put in jail, where he had to go since he had no support from family. He stayed in jail for awhile, and one of the guards felt sorry for him and took him home. He stayed there until about age 8 and then set out for himself, doing what he could (cleaning store fronts, working on construction sites, etc) to support and feed himself. He said he stumbled upon his dual voice while he was working on the chicken farms. I absolutely LOVE him.!!

He was a teenager when he found out that he can sing both tenor or soprano, that encouraged him to joined a singing contest where he won the grand final of Philippines Got Talent 2 in 2011.
Marcelito takes this song to yet another level in the release of his album, "Duet Yourself". Since it is a tracked recording, he includes all of the harmonies where Bocelli and Dion sing together in harmony. It is quite beautiful with Marcelito singing the lead (Bocelli) in tenor/baritone and the alto harmony (Dion) in countertenor. This song also includes a marvelous background orchestra. Marcelito is on a league of his own! He deserved that gift that God gave him; growing up all alone in the streets in the Philippines at a very young age searching for his family. He used to sing to himself for comfort. He discovered his gifts at the age of 18. Nevertheless, he continues to remain humble, grounded, and never allowing his newfound fame & fortune get to his head. He is indeed one of the best and one of a kind! Your reaction...PRICELESS!!!
watch him in America's Got Talent the champion 2020 edition. he already moved to the semi final. he sang that song the prayer but on a 2 minute limit. but still has given justice to the song.

He also does special effect sounds like door bells, cartoon characters etc. He also does it live on stage with famous singers while standing behind them singing their hit song as they laugh because they know he sounds exactly like them. He sings just a few bars then the original artist fineshes.

The bus is a travelling radio station in Metro Manila, Philippines. The intention is to showcase filipino talents even foreigners are welcome if they want to sing in a moving radio station bus.
