It's truly a shame what the want mores have done to the country music industry. Sure..there is a lot of money to be made but you know what? They RUINED it. when I'm old and feeble laying on my death bed I will take some very fond memories with me. Because I was there.

This song was written by Kenneth McDuffie, and award winning songwriter. Kenny was born in Garrison, Nacogdoches County, Texas. A good man who is now deceased.
I remember seeing him going to Branson a lot with Conway Twitty and all the other country music singers. I wish I could go back and relive those days. I miss my hometown of Ozark Missouri.

There needs to be a traditionalist movement brought in to revive the roots of country music. It's definitely lost its way.
My parents took me with them to see him live in late 60s. He told more funny jokes than he did singing songs. RIP Mel.

I am a distant cousin to Kenny McDuffie. I also am from Garrison, Texas. Kenny wrote several hit songs and played fiddle for Mel Tillis.
