Last week I have been exactly in this route. After crossing this are of the high buildings, you go in the old town area where the streets dont show up in google maps. Those streets are tighter, but the amount of motorbikes are nearly like here. There are some very interesting temples and of course very good sea food restaurands, right inside those small streets. Saigon Cao Dai temple is probably the most different one. Has a very colorful style, plus a big obelisc with full of svastika. Obviously, the meaning is not the one like the reflexes in Europe when you see that. When I am there I see no tourists at all. Peoples when recognize me sitting to eat, they are so surprised, some are pointing with the fingers. Of course no bad intention, its absolutely safe place. In those small streets is not uncommon to see motorbikes driving against the traffic direction, despite the density of the traffic. When you turn to left two times and the distance is no more than 200m, the beehive optimization indicates that you dont cross the traffic twice to block so many peoples, instead slowly and carefully drive on the left margin and you got it right where you want to go.
Sometimes traffic in Vietnam get wilder. Traffic light turn yellow and then turn red in a few second mean it stills green and people try to accross 😂 Thank you for coming to our country.
I thought it would be more chaotic. Those motorbike riders have to cooperate to make that happen. Imagine the carnage if that were to occur say in Miami. :)

When I was in Hanoi traffic so bad there they would run their motorbikes all up on the sidewalk one damn near hit me I got pissed and damn near wanted hit back my wife grab me but then I got to thinking I’m in a foreign country better be careful
