I've been gone for so long from this channel that i never realize that Jesse's sister got a x300 Jaguar. It looks beautiful. The power antennas on most cars but especially Jaguars seem to break with age. Honestly, when i see most Jaguars for sale, the power antenna is almost always non functioning and looks terrible stuck in the upright position. Nice to see Jesse fixing this problem so the back end of the car can look clean and crisp.
XJ Jesse thank you for your help with many XJ8 repairs. My gear cord was broken but not the antenna. I can'r get the old antenna out of the the sleeve. I can pull it up about a foot from the top but thats it. I tired to pull the bottome out with needle nose pliers but no good. Can you give me a tip?
Thank you so much sir for all of your help. You are a life saver. If you are in the Atlanta area. Please look me up. I would like to pay you for your help. May the Lord Bless you.
Ignore me, I managed that with some grips in the end, now grappling with what appears to be most of the metal part of the old antenna inside the tube (someone has obviously been here before and taken out the plastic bit....grrrrr). It's all good fun.

I was always wondering, how do this automatic antennas work. Now I know, cheers and thumb up!
Thanks for your video, I don't have a brother to change the antenna on my XJ8, but I managed to do it myself following your instructions.
That's great to hear! I'm glad my video was helpful to you, It's always feels good when we can accomplish things on our own. Enjoy your XJ8
Do you remember how you got the old antenna mast out of the sleeve? Mine does not want to come out. Its not broken but the gear cord is broken.
Great job! Now my XJ40 is gone to sleep for the winter, until April. It has been excellent and relatively reliable!
Good show on the video(s) !! You've helped me out several X's WILL be sending $$.... waiting for payday (what's new) ? PLEASE Keep up the good work !!
nice work Jesse, you make it look easy
Many thanks 4 great instructions bro👊
I've been dreading this job on mine, somebody destroyed the antenna with a screwdriver or hammer or something. But this doesn't look too bad.

Do you rmember how you got the antenna out of the sleeve? Mine is not broken but my gear cord is.
Hey buddy! Where did you get the replacement antenna? How much was it? 😊
how on earth do you remove the top securing nut when despite holding the antenna body whilst unscrewing, it just turns the antenna tube below?
