I am a monogomous knitter and the first thing I think of when I wake up is my knitting. I am obsessed with it. Dreaming, planning, my stash...it all makes me sooo happy. Glad to spend time with two equally obsessed knitters! ❤
You kept me very good company for a whole week, ladies. I am not able to spare much time so i watch videos in instalments and this one kept me looking forward to and happy for a whole week! So much inspiration, i want to knit so many objects that i will need to grow more arms! I loved every single FO and you two are such prolific knitters! I could resonate with you, Carmen when you said you keep thinking about knitting all the time, so do I, I go to bed thinking about how much I'll work on the next day and what I'll knit after that and wake up to finishing my chores quickly so that I can sit and knit and plan my next project. Jackie, i loved your idea of using knitting for breathing exercise. It has always been meditative for me, now it shall take me a step further. Keep at it, ladies, you are doing great!
Just wanted to let you know how much I love listening to your knitting podcast and I especially love that you are Canadians who are promoting many Canadian spinners and fibers. I have to give a shout out to a local yarn shop in my province of PEI which produces absolutely gorgeous, squishy wool: Fleece and Harmony PEI. Their yarn is made from natural, untreated wool and alpaca fibre sourced primarily on Prince Edward Island. Like many viewers have said you are inspiring me to knit so many items. I have purchased the following patterns-Miles Shirt-Jacket and the Skvaattrram Sweater. After watching this episode I now also want to knit the Saturday shrug! Thank you-you are so much fun to spend time with!
Karen! Thank you so much for all these kind words! It is so meaningful to us to receive such beautiful messages and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know you're enjoying our podcasts! And we can't wait to see what you knit! And thank you so much for the Fleece and Harmony shoutout! We will totally check them out! Haha definitely right up our alley!!
Aw Karen!! Thank you for joining us and so glad you love the dog chaos!! Haha I can tell you that it continues in later episodes! Those pups!! We’re so happy that you’re part of our community!!!
With your episodes, I say the longer the better! Carmen, I am OBSESSED with your Pressed Flowers Cardigan. Jackie, I love your Sulina Shawl and need to make one, too! Crescent shaped shawls are soo good. Yet again, this episode has inspired me to sit with my knitting. I've been feeling a bit disconnected from my knitting but realized I'm approaching my knits very differently than I used to. It's been a while since I've just sat with a warm drink in the morning, listening to the birds, while working on my stitches.....my favorite way to knit. However, even though I haven't been knitting as much lately, I'm always dreaming of combinations in my stash and thinking about what each skein will become!
Thank you Alyson!! Haha so glad you're on board with our epic podcasts! And thank you for all the kind words. I absolutely ADORE my pressed flowers cardi and I am totally going to be making a Sulina as well! And we're so glad we can inspire you to return to your needles, and doing so in the way that feels the best to you is definitely the way to go in our opinion!!
@Knitting a Good Yarn Podcast since my last comment, I've reconnected with my knitting and my knitting mojo had come back in full force 😊 so hard not to cast on all the things!
Oh dear! Now I need to make the cardigan!!! 😍 Carmen!!! And Jackie, that cosy Gentle Lopi!!! I have been sitting on my Rå waiting for the right thing to come along! I might need to knit one, too! 💕 It’s gorgeous! I’m on Team Reverse Stockinette!!! Do it!
@Knitting a Good Yarn Podcast 👍 I ordered Shortcake, and I'm knitting the Zweig Sweater - using HHF, Twist Sock, Potluck 5 colourway. Can't wait to receive the Sweet Flax! Happy knitting ladies - we're from your area, now living the dream in Muskoka ❤️
I love the smaller needle knits....lace, fingering and DK, are my jam. There's something very clean and pristine with the rhythm of those finer knits. I don't know why, but I just do, lol! Thank you for another great afternoon of inspiration Carmen and Jackie!🥰
Oh clean and pristine is such a perfect way to describe it! It really is a different fabric that's created, eh? Lace is a whole other level though. Bravo!!!
It is so inspiring to see all the lovely knits that you create. Thanks for all the inspirations. From the far, Jackie, it looked as if your shrug could also be worn as a skirt. The shaping seems to be good for this purpose. Kind regards from Berlin, Almut
Thank you Almut!!! And stay tuned! We literally just filmed our next episode (it's uploading as I write this) and there MAY have been a development on your smart suggestion!!
Another wonderful and inspiring episode of knitting and patterns and I love every single second... Now I think I have to knit this cute Saturday shrug, because I love the way you wear it and it's such a versatile style... Thanks for sharing your love of knitting and beautiful and deep thoughts with us....
Great to see you guys, and so many beautiful knits to behold, thanks 😍 I watched it in two afternoons/evening while knitting on the latest testknit for Aegyoknit, which is cables on 4 mm needles, and that to me is quite toothpick-y 😅 Alas, I can’t do it slowly, but it’s teaching me patience and gratitude. Thanks for all your inspiration 💙
I love listening to and watching you two. There was so much content in this episode!!! I am going to make the Sulina shawl and the Lento sweater. You both are just so much fun, so entertaining and so sweet to one another. Can't wait for the three plus hour episode!!! 😃
Thank you as always Noelle!!! So so glad you liked it! Haha and yes, we were chatting about the fact that we don't think we've ever had an episode with so many FO's before! Haha 3+ hrs here we come!

😂😂 so love your podcast! As I was watching (over the past three days 😄) I had all sorts of things I wanted to say… now I’m just bathed in inspiration and goodness and have lost those insights. Honestly, keep doing you. You’re lovely. Oh! Jackie - I agree with Carmen on the one sweater - to switch or not to switch (st side or rev st side) - keep it as is reversible and knit another with the braids. The eyelets look amazing. Ok so I remember one more thing. Thanks for mentioning the amount of Nutiden you’re using and the point that different colorways knit up and weigh varied ways/amts. I adore Nutiden as it’s teaching me in an embodied manner to simply let go… you’ve likely read the research on Flow - that’s where I am as I knit with it. Take care
Julie this is so wonderful and thank you for letting us know your thoughts and also that you're enjoying our podcast! It definitely encourages us to keep going!!
Thank you ladies for another enjoyable episode ! 3,5mm is pretty normal to me. Tooth picky starts at 2.25mm to 2mm😆 But I will definitely try to find a sweater or a cardi to knit in 2mm. I love small stitches !! Also, like you Jackie, sometimes, I don't have to have something to knit. Sometimes, dreaming of my next project to knit is enough to fill my cup. 💗

Single strand is easy to get enough but doube strand is trickier. The sweater I am knitting right now I will run out of yarn :( And Carmen! How have you not yet done a Saturday Shrug??? I'm actually knitting the Fossil Frenzy Tee (my 33 year old son still loves dinosaurs.. go figure) but it's being knit as a sweater using non-superwash merino/possum/silk.. on 2.5mm needles!! I've participated on Ravelry and looks like it says it was over the end of January, but don't see a notice of winner? Sorry if I missed it mention on this episode. So fun watching you gals. :)
Hi Sue! Thank you so much and you are inspiring me even more so to cast on a Saturday shrug! Geez, so much knitting, so little time!! And we are drawing the winner for the kal on Feb 20th!! Good luck!!!
Do the Ruf...and half as big, i made 4 instead of 7 "Stripes"..i schlepp it, its suuuper, and something stylewise i have not yet seen with you two...
haha I really need to cast this on today!!!
All the animals you mention make wool.
THANK YOU!!! haha we have been very confused!!
To avoid the little color change issue - knit the first row and you will not get that.
Smart! Did you find that affected the stretch at all?
