What a wonderful final boss theme. The music is so intense and it captures so many emotions all at once. It is also enhanced with the battle animations that, while looking dated today, works incredibly well with the music, giving a superb combination of music and gameplay together. Also, while the music is fantastic, I think that another thing that stands out is that it's (in my opinion) the best theme in the entire game which I feel is no small feat in a soundtrack filled with excellent music themes (Both Four Noble Devils themes, Underwater Palace, Occult Castle Battle, Aurora, etc.). Still to this day it is my favorite video game theme of all time and the only boss theme I like almost as much as this is Courage and Pride from the Heart (Mostly the fast-paced arranged versions of it).
loved the series, one was really enjoyable, two was iffy to most people but the whole "War that spans several generations" reminded me a bit of the 100 years war a tad, but the main bit was being that you had not just one character to work with that you would care about, or two or three, but you had five from the normal 4 that was final fantasy that the SaGa series that i enjoy from. then there's Romancing SaGa 3 that pulls no punches it's own way and actually has a few tutorial characters. tutorial characters? yes. you can learn the game fairly quick from a character, but the game doesn't let you know until you've already got into the first few matches who your character is. But, my favorite part, is that when before the game starts you choose your own stats. my favorite part of the RPG aspect. picking a character, then setting their story on weither they should kick ass with a weapon, or the best weapon of all; their fists. good times were had, and I can't wait for the English release when Square Enix decides best.

About 2 years ago, I spent over 20 hours trying to find that song all over the internet. During that time, I've read from several sources that the Natraps X cover of this song was made for the video, and was never released as a standalone track.
Wow, you're right. I tried multiplying the tempo by x1.25 and increasing the pitch by 6 half-steps in Audacity, and it sounds almost exactly the same as the Natraps X version, except it doesn't sound 'clean'. I'm not sure how to fix that.

妙に速いテンポや音の軽さも含めて、当時はラスボスとしての重さがあまり感じられず、他の3の曲と同様、前作の曲の方が好きでした。
他の要因で大きかったのは唐突過ぎるストーリー展開。
…が、某盗用まみれの同人シリーズ作品の曲を聴いた後だと、この曲だけは相対的にかなり株が上がりました。
本物が忘れられないようにしたいものです。
