Honestly, that first quote hits pretty damn hard. It’s simple and blunt, but to say that winning is not your goal, but becoming better as a martial artist, to improve yourself, it really does hit hard for anyone that wants to improve themselves. Leave it to roshi, the classic Pervy old man in anime that’s meant to be a gag character, to say words that inspirational.
@Ezcendant I mean roshi definetly didn't gave two shits about winning the Budokai Tournament, it was to motivate Goku, Krillin and Yamcha
I’m happy Roshi got saved in the ToP Saga, they made him relevant again, and seriously badass just like in the original DB

Sadly, not everyone is as simple minded as Goku. A lot of us prefer to get the W rather than the cheap, “At least you tried” line. This feels like a participation ribbon in quote form tbh
@Ezcendant Nah... not true. Jiujitsu competitor here. And SFIV and V competitor here. You "fight" to measure yourself. You really fight to see how strong you are, and maybe even to see how strong other fighters are. You fight for the sake of fighting. You never ever really sign up for a tournament "to win". Thats not it. And i have signed up for tourneys where i knew i would be hurt physically. Do i want to win? of course, i enter my matches to win. But i want to win as in, i want to prove i am a good grappler. Not to avoid losing and hide my shame.
You must be an spectator, you have no knowledge or experience about fighting and competing in real life... and if for some reason you do compete, you have a very, very poor mentality.
Its great to see Roshi fight in this game. So many classic Dragon Ball moves. We need more OG Dragon Ball characters.
Tao Yajirobe and maybe King Piccolo, the only problem with King Piccolo is that most of his moves are already represented in Piccolo's moveset.
There's plenty ogs already, they only added dbs chars to make it larger.
@@666ZX people like you really like to show their hand when they say Piccolo already has most of his moves.
You've either never seen og DB or can't remember anything, probably the former.
1- King Piccolo was a bruiser, not a martial artist. His fighting style was based more around grabs and big slow attacks.
2- King Piccolo hatched multiple eggs that were "demons" that could easily be used like Nappa's Saibamen plant.
3- King Piccolo could have the multi directional eye lasers.
4- Lastly, he was very big on using Ki blast moves that were super powerful.
King Piccolo would work more like Super Broly than Piccolo jr. but with a greater focus on zoning.
@@akiraishin7141 Needless rant, I already know you *could* made a move-set out of King Piccolo but the question is, should they make King Piccolo a character when most of his famous moves are already in Piccolos move-set. Piccolo already doesn't represent a lot of his DBZ moveset cuz Arc System Works was trying to represent King Piccolo and Piccolo Jr with Piccolo.

He launches the day after the 3080 graphics cards do because you’re gonna need one to handle his presence on screen and in the game.
That only happens if you make him buff Roshi.

That ult animation is from when Roshi first used the Kamehameha, I think? It's been years since I watched Dragonball, but it's pretty dead on from what I do remember.

It is specifically referrencing the three positions Toriyama drew in the original Manga when Roshi blew off the fire at Ox King's castle. I was curious and looked it up. It's chapter 14.

Luis Yance Being a perverted idiot is part of his character. Roshi without the pervertedness is like having Goku without his constant strive to become stronger. It’s a crucial part of his character regardless of whether you still find it funny or not. Plus, when he’s not being perverted, all he does is fight; like everyone else in the anime.

I still think that when Roshi blocks he should have the turtle shell! It would be awesome.
Also, if majin vegeta ever comes out I think it would be a cool little mechanic for him that he would always have those rays/electric aura which could cause some type of damage, just by being close to the opponent. Even if it also very little damage. That would add some realy cool flare to the character.
Level 3 looks so dope but I feel like it just happens too fast. Like when you start getting hype from him charging it up, it just goes away instantly.

Other way around. Dragon Ball predates Naruto by 15 years. It began and ended before Naruto was even a concept and served as the main inspiration for the series as a whole.
That's why Naruto is blonde, has blue eyes, and wears an orange outfit. The four tails is straight up named Son Goku and an ape, and the jinchuriki is named Mutenroshi. Which literally translates to the great master and is Master Roshi's Japanese name when he's not called kame-sennin or the turtle hermit/sage. Jiraiya being the toad sage is another homage. The number of tails for that beast is a reference to how the four star ball is the most iconic dragon ball
