As the G Corp Outis guy I really appreciate underrated identities, and honestly Seven Yi Sang is super underrated and I'm glad he's getting some of the attention he deserves lol
idk man recently it feels as the content from the most popular ones have been losing it's quality over time, like yeah do what you want with your channels I'm all for it but atleast hold off on the livestreaming and events or make a second channel for it. It's like gradually the focus is shifting over to the youtuber instead of the game, which if I wanted to see a 20-30 year old mans reaction to a stage I'd go to foreman or search it up myself. tl;dr basically what they're providing now isn't what I subscribed for

Aaaay! I thought of and brought up 7YS's Burn function as soon as I saw Jelly's vid, but didn't think there'd be a follow-up this fast. What a good community moment: I had never even known about the RR3 use until now either!
I've always really loved 7Yi Sang due to his status as such as reliable debuff support, particularly in Focused encounters. Something that I think plays a large role in why his clashing isn't nearly as bad as it may appear, is that 5-8 speed range. Because it's so high, he's almost always going first, and that means he can be the first to take clashes on paralyzed enemies. Being able to win clashes with his S2 becomes a lot more consistent if most clashes he's taking are set up by next turn paralyze effects like his S2, 7Outis' S1 or Nfaust/NRodion's S2, leading to enemies getting stuck in a paralysis loop. Plus, similar to the burn team setting up other Liu IDs with 4th Match Flame, being able to pull out -2 attack power from Crows Eye View, 3 Paralyze this turn with Wishing Cairne, would let you debuff the enemy with one-sided attacks before a slower sinner takes the clash, or hell, just outright stagger the enemy with Dimension Shredder's damage output. Honestly, all we need for him to become a great ID again is a good gluttony team that wouldn't prefer Wcorp Yi Sang instead. Maybe one day we could get something like a set of Sweeper IDs which play off of Maggots and involve a lot of Gluttony? Some of their LoR cards inflicted Paralyze already, did a lot of pierce damage, and with maggots/gluttony kits, they'd combo well with Legerdemain. Plus, we already have Kurokumo Ryoushu as a strangely good bleed/debuff support with a gluttony/3 paralyze skill, and maybe the right Sweeper IDs could even make RBChef Gregor actually useful since he's similarly bleed/paralyze with Gluttony.
7 Yi Sang didn't fall off in burn teams until Dawn Sinclair, and that's only because Dawn Sinclair requires standard Yi Sang to fully function in a burn team. Bullet Outis and Liu Rodion/Ryoshu didn't drive him out, because what he had was mass burn. Outis increases the potency of the burn tick damage, but in a mirror dungeon, you aren't seeing her S3 hit more than two targets if you're lucky.
IDs like him are why I'm not usually super concerned about The Meta(TM) in Limbus. There's almost always some weird goofy function an oddball 00 can fill if you're willing to use them, and while they may never get to the comical heights of the strongest IDs the game has to offer, frankly those IDs tend to be overkill in most situations. I don't use 7 Yi Sang (mostly because I preferred/prefer to invest in base IDs early game and I've just never got him early enough to cultivate like my other goofy 00 picks), but I do admire those who can, and try to carry on their spirit in my own way with IDs like Rosesault and KK Gregor.
I messed up a bit on the -tis part (I think it's supposed to be more like a Tise than a Tis) but as far as I'm aware it is very much an "Oo" sound since the name comes from The Odyssey
@@SunshowerHeathcliffBeliever yeah, that's valid. I like to try and pronounce their names based on their original pronunciations (ex: Meursault in game can end up sounding more like Meruso, but I say Meurso)
He's consistent, he has his use cases, and you gotta remember: unlike Ring Sang, Seven Sang is a two-star identity and, therefore, quite easier to obtain. That's an important factor too, as a lot of players are, in fact, either newer players yet to fill up their rosters, or simply not chronic farmers with ten thousand crates in stock and ability to acquire every single ID on the day of arrival.

it's so insane to me how great 7 IDs are, especially the early ones, both Yi Sang and Ryoshu are some of the best 2* IDs and honestly, in non-Rupture teams I'd say they both are better than 7 Outis lmao
Weirdly, even if em's outshined by Ring Sang, 7Sang is still a solid pick, especially for RR4. Section 2: NSault and half of the Blade Lineage are pierce weak. Section 3: Rminosault, Zwei Greg. Section 4: Most of the Banquet.
Im not sure if Seven Yi Sang was really used competitively in RR1 too? I remember BL Sang was used for slash damage in one fight or just benched entirely
I wasn't super tapped into the Railway 1 optimal strategies so I'm unsure of if he played any part in the fastest rr1 clears (couldn't find any footage while researching for this vid) but from what I remember if you were going to use a Yi Sang identity he was the one to use unless you really wanted BL Yi Sang's slash damage, since buffing Quick Suppression / The Gripping / insert other good pierce skill & having fragile while being the best rolling Yi Sang identity and largely fueling his own EGOs were all really nice traits, especially considering that 4th Match Flame could be really effective against some of the slash weak fights (double fatal against beasts in snake fight and class 3 guards) meaning that BL Yi Sang didn't necessarily have a monopoly on slash damage.
@@sivavis9137 Yep I remember on specifically the K corp fight, some people would use Fourth Match Flame to deal with class 3 since K corp were fatal to wrath and the other one being pride?. Im not sure about the pierce thing cuz I dont really remember pierce being that relevant in RR1. I remember fragility stacking with LCCB Ishmael(rolling on speed) along with GANCHUNG, I dont remember Seven Yi Sang being worth the dmg loss to use maybe earlier in the railway before Nclair changed the entire meta. Newer RR metas have been pretty interesting like using base meursault to remove rupture stacks. Also how many says Chef Ryoshu is bad but she is used over W Ryoshu majority of the time. How many says W Sang is good in rupture but hes actually kinda bad for low turn clearing only good in long fights(and ringsang is better for rupture). Rosespanner Sault was also used in the 27 turn RR3 run in a sinking team for tremor and sloth.

Outside of that I'm not sure where 7Sang specifically would be used, since any Yi Sang can hold his EGOs and BL would have slash dmg on his skills as well.

I used 7 Yi Sang in all 7 team in hard MD, cause funny. And he was okay. U4 and lvl 40. From run start and up to floor 3 he was really decently winning a bunch of clashes. But then fall of, because I took offensive level buffs and floor 4 mansion with bunch of Ring fights. He was decently as tanky as 7 Outis at that point
its unfortunate that the 25 turn RR3 WR doesn't include him, but ringsang is just like that. another correction: W sang is not used in rupture over ringsang - who almost always is more count-positive than him.
yeah I wasn't entirely certain about which unit was optimal since I don't really play rupture and didn't want to research it for this vid, so I tried to keep it ambiguous and just say that both are better than 7 Yi Sang in Rupture since I was 100% sure of that. Makes a lot of sense though!
the burn use is really not that good and tbh all his uses are not that good, his effects are the bare minimum for an Id that is this bad and the only really good effect he got on his kit is the pierce fragility and its like, why not just use a pierce Id that deals good damage instead the only thing that is realistically good is the speed and this is not a case for seven yi sang being kinda of good or a supporting Id, its an EGO pedestal until another yi sang with easy good speed drops, this yi sang will be forgotten and will pay for his crimes
