    BRO, this car got the same engine displacement and configuration as Mitsu Eclipse Mk4, you could cruise all day in that car with ease, while being able to get distracted. It doesn't have the same top speed and hi-end torque as a V8, but if you don't need your car to be super, then this is best.

    Heard these engines won numerous awards from j.d. powertrain if I'm saying it right. Bulletproof motor if you keep up oil changing.nice car.. Always liked camaros.especially 2nd gens - through fourth.

      I was going to engine swap a V8 for my V6 stock. I’m thinking of keeping it V6 now. I hear a lot of good things about this V6 engine. I have a 2002 35 anni stock coupe

      I could say the same but with the late 90s / early 00s Holden Commodores. The closest we got was the Cadillac Catera, but they never got the LS1 or the 3800 like y’all did!

    • @Alexcamb87
      @Alexcamb87 7 місяців тому

      @@sabi57 et bien ça fera bientôt 2 ans qu'il l'a. J'ai eu plusieurs fois l'occasion de la conduire, petits comme grands trajets. Et également fait de la mécanique dessus. Il a eu pas mal de petits pépins sur des organes extérieurs au moteur (pompe a essence qui a lâché, problème de moteur essuie glace, catalyseur à changer... Et des petites conneries inhérentes au modèle précis qu'il a pris (sans doute pas la meilleure de France). Il faut savoir que pour certaines pièces ça peut être compliqué comme le pare-choc qu'il a dû faire réparer (frais de port), ou des pièces introuvables dans leurs versions européennes comme les feux avant (j'ai dû en bricoler un neuf type américain)
      La conduite reste sympa, car très différente des autos européennes. La voiture est lourde et ça se sent dans le comportement. Il faut faire attention sur route mouillée, avec la boîte auto qui peut faire des rétrogrades brutaux on peut vite partir en tête à queue sur un sol un peu mouillé... Ça m'est arrivé. Les reprises sont correctes, surtout le couple qui est intéressant. La sonorité peut être assez proche d'un V8 avec un bon échappement. Sinon elle ne passe clairement pas inaperçu en France. Il n'est pas rare que des gens fassent des remarques positives dessus ou bien viennent faire le tour une fois la voiture sur le parking :D
      Ça reste un bon moyen de rouler different en France avec un tarif contenu si l'on accepte ses quelques inconvénients à commencer par le gabarit.

      @@Hellbird-uk7yi I hate that the 3.8 ford thunderbird got an Eaton supercharger. To get that one to fit is even more of a nightmare than getting the Buick one to fit because you need an adaptor plate for the lower manifold.

      Great car with a 5 speed. But the factory shifter sucks. I'd recommend a pro 5.0 short shifter as a replacement. I'd also recommend looking for a z28 drive shaft. The motors are also perfect for building a boosted setup.
