  • This radio is one of the most advanced and integrated HF radio in the world. Although this unit has been demilitarized, the RF-5800H includes ALE, data rates up to 9600 bps, embedded GPS receiver, MELP digital voice, Citadel encryption, digital ECCM, and a built-in Internet Protocol (IP) interface.
The RF-5800H, a member of Harris’ FALCON II family, is a third generation software-defined radio.
This unit covers all the HF band and has automatic antenna tunner.
It has three different power outputs from 1 to 20 watts.
It can be powered with one or two batteries and with a 20-30V DC Power supply.
Thank you Jordi for letting me enjoy this magnificent radio.

Wow, you are lucky to get your hands on one! The US does not de-mil them, they just send them to the woodchipper. It's a shame as it's an amazing radio.

The US demils radios that they use. This radio or model has never been used by the US military.

I was hoping you would take the cover off the fill port….there were two different kinds of connectors used thru its lifetime. It looks like the most recent…..

Would you be against walking through every settings just to see what features it offer? Not necessary just using them, but checking the out in menu!

Yeah but they're not designed to scroll through the bands with a vfo. They're programmed to a comm plan.
