John Beckett probably started to wonder why all these strangers kept calling him and approaching him on the street as if they knew him lmao. It happened at least twice in the show, I can only imagine how often it happened after the show ends and Sam keeps leaping through time forever
Seriously. The possibilities are endless after the events of the finale of Quantum Leap when Sam began leaping as himself all over time. Would have been nice to see followups of these events in some form of this series since the finale.
@@SuperMarioBrosIII Don't you mean _The Leap Home_ ? _The Leap Back_ featured Al Calavicci as Tom, the soldier from World War 2. Al swapped places with Sam.
My son and I just finished watching the entire series together. He's(roughly) the same age I was when all of these episodes aired. Scenes like this one make my eyes well up with tears.
Watched this show on DVD the entire thing with my best friend now he has passed away so I sometimes watch it here makes me feel like he is not so far away
Lost my dad at 27 to cancer. I'm now 40 and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. Each time I see Sam call him, get close to him I keep getting choked up thinking how we all want just another few moments with the loved ones we've lost. I get all choked up watching these scenes.
Wow! My sister used to watch these every week when I was about 8 or 9....never realised of much of a gutt punch they give! Welled up watching this cause a work mate suggested binge watching quantum leap and I think I'll take him up on his offer
So glad Sam didn’t try to make his dad have a healthier lifestyle like last time. He may have prevented his brother from dying in Vietnam, I don’t think preventing his dad from dying from that heart attack or his sister from marrying that drunk don’t seem that necessary now. Besides, I have assume that Sam’s brother now run the farm after his dad died now that he never died in Vietnam.
It's moments like this that make me wonder how the person reacts when they get back into their own body. Like when Willie finds he's suddenly cuddling a man he barely knows in the middle of the street.
So what people would call someone being possessed is nothing more than a leaper leaping into a body to fix your timeline. Everyone comes in for a reason or a season, a blessing or a lesson 😊.
Lost Dad at 14 and Mom at 36. I’m 39 now. I wish I had one more day with both of them.
Same here. At least on wishing they were here even if for one day. Your post just means you had good ones as parents. Blessings.
Awe😥 poor thing.. ☮️💖☀️
@@privateprivate1865 I'm sure the continuation series won't give is any heart tugging moments like this one!😢💗🙏👍
I pray that you will reunite with them in your next life. May the reunion be joyous.
Honey,
I guarantee they are in Heaven waiting for you! And they know exactly how you feel. ♥️♥️
Only Scott could play his own dad and be utterly convincing as a totally different actor.
Took me a second to realise that, was wondering what was wrong with his face
Lucky bastard... wish I could hug my dad just one more time... 😥
Same
You and me both, pal. I'd give anything to see him again.
Me too
Right there with you.
Same here.

I think it’s nice of the quantum leap thing to let him get to see his dad before he leaped again
I'm not crying I got something in my eye
Even so, it must be heartbreaking for Sam that his own father doesn't recognise him. 💔
@@gaynor1721 Sam would see his Dad again in a season 3 two part episode The Leap Home. 😀
@@SuperMarioBrosIII The Leap Home happened before this episode, so this very well could have been the last time Sam talked to his dad 😢

I cried and I cried. Best show ever made
100% and I think the new show is going to show how great this one was. And make it live again while the new one fails.

Sorry about your friend man, I heard a great saying once "be grateful, our scars have the power to remind us the past was real".
This makes me cry like a baby.

that's why there's a Heaven, bro. Where dreams come true. Miss my dad too
Thank you, I will miss Dean
EVERY TIME I SEE THIS IT MAKES ME CRY ! MY DAD PASSED AWAY 10 YEARS AGO !

I’d give just about anything to hug my mom and wish her a Merry Christmas. She died 25 years ago when I was 18

This quantum leap is way better than 2022 QL
Awesome edit. I just wish this whole thing never would have! DAD
one of my favourite moment of QL, with the phone call in the first ep.
This scene is next to Tony Stark hugging his younger dad in the past.
This is probably more heartbreaking for some reason I can’t articulate
Miss my dad…
Great show
Oh Jesus I thought I wouldn't cry but goddamn
I try to treat my friends and family as this was such the scenario of seeing them as if back from the dead.

I was 28 years old when my dad died from a heat stroke and everyday I wish I could spend more day with him and his parents I miss them so much. ❤
Sam’s dad looks like Dick Cheney.
WELL BEING THE LAST MAN STANDING OUT OF A FAMILY OF SIX I WISH I COULD HUG ALL MY FAMILY AGAIN...!!!
I did some wrong attitude to my father, i remember only some. If i could leap there once again, i will fixed it.
The points where the leap would happen was always good.Like here.
I never realized scott played his dad too
Is that Scott Baluka playing Sam's dad?
Yes
@@joshuaingobo1559 Thanks for that.
@@petehobson1054 You’re welcome.
A bit odd innit
They don’t make shows like this one anymore
