I like learning new things and today I have learnt a few from you. 1. I had never heard of mulching, although I did wonder why the council cut and not take the grass when they cut it. 2. The direction of strimming around the garden makes a difference. I've been going clockwise. 3. Obvious when you see a skilled man do it but, the strimmer can be used horizontally and vertically to get that nice sharp edge. 4. The reason for mulching. 5. The reason why my lawn has too many weeds. Because I've been cutting it too short, making the grass weak and allowing the weeds to grow. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
The council don’t really mulch, they hack down overgrown grass and leave it covering over the top. Proper mulching gets back down in between the grass blades. The council’s approach is why many people are against it as they think that’s what it is.
Thanks Scott, your support is appreciated. Still getting to grips with the editing carry on. Films under 12 minutes are the way ahead. All the best, Rob. I
Great mower same as I use myself rob along with husqvarna 535lk split shaft strimmer and husqvarna 125b leaf blower and edger attachment for husqvarna strimmer does the trick great videos and work lad 👍
Agreed, slightly higher cut and mulch. It's a natural feed. If you take away you are creating a nutrient poor soil as you would do to create a wildflower meadow. Then spending time and money to put the nutrients back.
I done this and mulching is a great thing but you need the grass to be dry. With just mulching and no fertilizer the grass loos lush. If you are planning to mulch more I would advise you to buy the husqvarna mulch mower . It's by far the best mulching mower on the market.
Hi Rob. Bought the Hrx 217 on your influence. When Im mulching the mower leaves track marks and the customer asks why that is. When it's wet does this rven more when mulching or bagging up. Have you any tips or could do a video on cutting in the wet. As you know its been a nightmar. Love the vids and your honesty eith pricing. Really helps. Been doing this for 3 years as a buisness and love it. Pure respect to you.
I don’t have that mower, I have the Honda hrx 537. Never mulch when wet, it makes a mess. Mulching is designed for dry grass. As for leaving grass behind. Slow the mower down, sharpen the blade, clean underneath, clean the bag with hot water and let it dry properly. If all that fails double cut the grass. Good luck.
Hi, I am just wondering if you can do a video of how the 537 is a step up from the IZY? I don't know if you forget. It would be helpful to see the benefits. Is the 537 commercial?
How did you find the chart for the height of cut that each setting on the honda mowers is? Never been able to find one that tells you exactly, just the highest and lowest! Great video!
Hello Mark. I have a minimum charge of £20 for up to 80 sq meters. This lawn is 90 sq meters with a small front lawn. So it’s a little more than minimum charge. Not quite £30. I hope that helps.
High rob nice little job there,do you have any bolt on services to keep you bissy over winter?.as your already engaged with customer's? I offer external cleans pressure washing/render cleans/Windows plastics etc.just a thought.

Thanks for watching Stuart. The height chart is on page 11 of the online owners manual.
