I learned how to do this trick the same day I learned to heel flip :) haven’t skated in about 10 years now :( hope y’all watching this learn how to do this trick :)
That's not a varial heel flip. It's an inward heel flip. The shove it part is in the opposite direction making the trick 10 times harder. It's like a hard flip but in the opposite direction.
Once the variable heel clicks in your head they almost become automatic. But don't skip steps..definitely make sure you got the heel and the fs shuv..this is how I learned hard flips..kickflip with a front shove. Just gotta pop a little higher is all
Awesome advice but I’d have to disagree with the goat here. I cannot heelflip to save my life but I can variel heelflip comfortably and down stairs etc and have a strong front pop shuv. I feel like the scoop from the pop shuv makes it such a different set up, kind of like how a hard flip is completely different to a kickflip. Just my opinion.
You don’t need a switch tre trick tip. Just watch a tre tutorial and follow the same instructions riding switch. Then skate in the other direction and do it and it’s nollie. Some of y’all need to go outside and actually skate more and spend way less time searching for “tips”, sheesh lol.

It's all in the front foot, like an inward heel or varial flip.
