I was there in 1990 I was with the 65th Engineers and it wasn't bad I didn't travel to much but when I did it was to see other Asian countries and Australia. I lived in wahiawa just out side of post I rode my bike to my post.
Hinesville. OMG.. lol. I PCSd on a 4187 from Stewaet to Italy. I should've chose Schofield.. After Italy I ended up at Hunter AAF in Savannah.. Wasn't far enough from Stewart..

Yes visitors have to go thru Lyman gate
Not military any longer but transferring to Oahu soon. Man, apartments are crazy expensive and so small. Any MWR centers on base?
foote gate is closed on saturdays. idk if it’s open on sundays.
Thank you for the heads up!
I was their in 85,86 and 87. Didn’t care for the Hawaii experience
It’s not for everyone
I just found out yesterday.... 😂😢😮
Hawaii is OCONUS so that's why civilians can live there. Sorry DOD civilians. They have to anytime they are overseas
