I feel like I would keep my things in a storage unit just in case I decided to move back to the mainland. You could always get someone to auction off your items if you want to at a later date.

Did you have any luck finding a flight for them? I have a 93 pound German Shepard that sits 36 inches tall. I had to get the petmate vari kennel that was 35” tall and get the dryfur 5” extension so that his ears don’t touch the crate roof. Hawaiian airlines flight 15 looked like the only aircraft that will fit the 40” tall crate I have. Making the move in July and am nervous about getting the doggo there!

Sell all of your things.. you don’t need it all except the bare necessities. Especially, if you have a huge home on the mainland. Places are small.

My $40k quote for household goods and SUV from the east coast of Mainland created skid marks in my plans as I had to halt and rethink everything!
It can get pricy. Especially if you're coming from the east coast and even more so if gas prices are expensive.

My roundtrip flights from DC to Hawaii are typically $800-$900 anytime of the year.
The picture was the Makaha beach cabanas. Some of those are on Airbnb at a monthly rate of around $3500.

I got my one way ticket to Hawaii for 300 bucks direct flight from NYC.
I've never heard of a direct flight from NYC! That's be like 9-10 hrs straight, don't know if I could handle that!
