I think my favourite brand, Nissan needs to accelerate that Arc Plan from this year. Announce and bring to market new EVs Nissan, please? I am waiting for a Nissan EV Pickup Truck. Once again, great news Madame, keep it up. Gets better and better. Congrats to your producer. Cheers! Much respect.
Thank you for watching and commenting! We hope Nissan picks up the pace. They were once a leader in EVs and we hope they can get back towards the top again. There is a lot of work to do though. The future looks promising.
Great content as usual. The Koreans will continue to be successful with their ev products, Hyundai and Kia are very future focused. Looking forward to seeing your next video.
Thanks Houston! It means a lot. I've been so impressed with Hyundai Group and I just can't wait for their future EVs if they are this good already 😍 We appreciate you tuning in and commenting. See you next week!
They need to provide a final and complete resolution to a significant technical problem with the existing lines of Ioniq 5 and EV6: the ICCU. Many owners are complaining of Lvl 2 charging problems of faulty ICCUs. Recalls thus far have not completely solved this problem.
@hvu6037 , I don't disagree with you. You are right. I'm confident that the issue will be resolved. Interestingly, I've had one update for that issue for my EV6, and no problems since.
@MissGoElectric My career was 34 years in the auto manufacturing industry. None with US domestics or Korean. I researched the Hyundai groups offerings and concluded that using the risk vs. reward equation, the EV6 was the smartest purchase for me. I could have easily purchased a German brand, but those brands continue to be focused on status and pride instead of reliable ev day to day functionality and getting the family from point A to point B safely.
Go CANOO! World car of the year should have been the Tesla Model Y. It was the best selling car in the world and that alone advanced the profile of all EVs.
I think Canoo has real value and offers something not covered well in todays EV market but Fisker is too risky for a decent product but others are already offering equivalent without the risks.
Thanks for the great video. Just got the Tesla FSD Supervised v12.3.3 (2024.3.10) free month trial and it's amazing. Ran it all over the place today. I'd say it's better than most human drivers with the exception that the code for reversing hasn't been added in this build (but coming soon). It does back up for parking (and parking is perfect) so I assume they're being extra conservative and are feeding the AI more training videos for driving in reverse. It'll only get better from here and it's already pretty astounding. All on hardware 3 with 8 cameras. No lidar based system can do that.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We have seen others also talk about how great FSD Beta has improved. We hope to get access to it in the Cybertruck as soon as they are ready to provide us with the update! We appreciate you commenting and watching this weeks episode :)
FYI: yesterday (Saturday) I happened to drive by the ElectraMeccanica Vehicles "factory" in Mesa AZ. Looks pretty vacant and empty, you might even say "lifeless". Yet even though they have no plans to ever make any cars, their stock SOLO is about 10x that of Fisker! ($0.21 vs $0.02). Arcimoto, pretty much in the same "boat" is listed at $0.46
They just finished their merger with Xos Trucks. I think it's lifeless until they move those assets over. www.electrive.com/2024/01/16/xos-will-merge-with-electrameccanica/ We reviewed the solo when it was just coming out but they recalled and bought back every vehicle they sold and delivered because of a defect they could not repair. I tried to go to arcimotors website the other day and it was a dead link 😬 Thanks for sharing your experience!
There has been Tesla news for the previous three weeks. When they make electrification-specific movements, we cover it. Their big story last week was Full Self Driving related, which we thought was outranked by these stories considering our 10-minute format. As a leader, Tesla advancements are an important part of the global industry, technology, and policy tapestry and we aim to deliver proportionate attention on this segment. The Koreans are steadily eating away at Toyota and Honda ICE car sales (in North America) and will be delivering a bunch of attractive BEVs before either of them even have any "show" cars.
So far I have put 750 miles on it and it's been incredible. We also own a Model S and a Rivian R1T. At this time, I have not experienced any reason for regret. -Producer Tim
I enjoy your channel. Very upbeat. What concerns me about big discounts is the concern about a backup of inventory. Not saying that’s the case, but just wondering. As an EV owner, I’m for anything that will bolster the industry. Norway is surging ahead with huge increases to their EV infrastructure. It would be nice to see that happening here so potentially EV buyers can put to rest their hesitancy to purchase due to range anxiety. A big reason why many are not willing to change over from gas cars.
Norway has government EV positive incentives and ICE penalties unlike any other in the western world. It's also fairly small and there is a more unified culture. Additionally, they do not have any established automakers, which greatly reduces anti-EV legislative influence. We are pleased that you have joined us and share your view. We hope you continue contributing your perspective. -Producer Tim
I know I am jealous of those Coloradans! We would appreciate you tuning in to the buying guide, we think it is very useful for buyers. Thanks for watching this week and commenting, John. See you next week!
@@MissGoElectricThanks, I hope the 3 doesn’t have an oversized console cramping driver’s legs. The Polestar 2 rented at Hertz was awful due to that console.
Toyota has demonstrated a conservative attitude towards EVs. A fast transition to EV requires ICE automakers decommissioning of facilities, long term support contact penalties, and labor force conflict which represents significant financial harm. Large and sudden realized losses can spook shareholders and topple even the largest company. GM and Ford have shown enormous losses on their efforts so far. Toyota has avoided that, seemingly waiting to catch a step change technological advancement in battery technology like solid state. They've shown a full lineup of EVs and spoken of an ambitious set of goals. It is tricky for brittle legacy automotive behemoths to change course quickly without breaking. Clean slate companies like Tesla and Rivian have a different set of challenges. -Producer Tim
Good news with EV prices on those models! I just hope it's not a "going-out-of-business liquidation" for Fisker. The Bolt prices makes sense, as it's the end of the line for that model. Gotta say that Genesis is aiming high! Maybe their concepts will roll off of the new factory in Georgia…? Tim has a Cybertruck??? Oh, my…. 🙄 Hope it doesn't have phantom braking, red steering wheel alarms, ping-ponging between lanes like you've experienced (as I did previously).
Agreed, Mark! Yes Tim is driving it down to Tennessee as we speak. Unfortunately it has no autopilot system, just cruise control. They have to get that all sorted then they will push an update when it is ready supposedly. His includes FSD so hopefully it will be better than what you and I have experienced with our autopilots in the 3 & Y. He says he is surrounded by people every time he stops lol Thanks for watching & hope you had a great Easter!
Thanks for being upbeat.

We started the series four weeks ago and they haven't had any news during that time.
I dunno about the Fisker Ocean price. I bet I can get a better price on a Faraday Future!
