Thank you so much for sharing this technique. I find it so much more pleasant than loud colors. It fits so much better with my personal style. I like it much better than paints on the gel.
I do love this technique and it's great to have a reminder of it. I also love your colour combinations, many I haven't used before, but must try! Thank you x
I love this. I've actually done this before, but totally forgot about it. I'm glad you done this to remind me how much I love it! I'm going to do some❤
Thanks Andrea, oh the slippery slope of gel press collecting, before you know it, you will have a 6x6, a 12x12 a 3x5... (watch out for sales, that is what I do)! 💗
Great work, again, Kari. Like you, I only have a few Distress Oxide Ink pads but loads of Distress Ink. Would the Distress Inks work as well? I would usually just have a go but after your video on reinvigorating your gel prints my husband and I cleaned them within an inch of their gel 😂and I don't want to ruin them!! Thanks for sharing your lovely work. 👋x
Oh yes, any inks work, I should have said that, but I am rather fond of the Distress inks as well as the Oxides, such a great range of colours! I am glad you have had such a great time with your gel prints! 💗💗
Thank you, so far, they haven't stained my gel plates, but I am sure it won't matter if it does. I have weird marks on my plates when I used markers etc and my prints aren't affected. 💗
I don't recommend the cheap ones from Amazon, mine just fell apart while using them. I think any of the Essdee, Speedball or GelPress ones are good! I hope that helps, Christy! 💗💗
Love these!! I use my Tim Holtz inks on a plastic surface, spray with water and use watercolour paper to soak up what is created!!
Thanks Jane, oh yes, I love doing that with the inks, especially the Oxides as they have such wonderful results! 💗

Thank you so much, I know what you mean, the colours are so lovely and soft, it is a beautiful aesthetic, I am glad it suits your style more! 💗💗
The gel prints seem to have endliss possibilities! The inks are amazing.
Agree with you😮
Thanks so much Becca, yes those inks come in some delightful colours and they are brilliant on the gel plate! 💗
Thanks Toni! :) 💗

Thank you so much, I just love the colours that the inks are available in, you can't go wrong with them, really! 💗
Oooh yes madam..right up my street.... I will do some today ... thank you for sharing this...yours are so pretty xxxx
Thanks Paulla, it is surprising how cool inks are on the plate - have fun trying it out! 💗
Ooooh Kari! I have not done this before. Getting my inks out...I feel gel plate play coming on...tyfs ❤
Yay! That is wonderful, Marti - have fun with inks and gel plate! 💗
This is really effective thanks for sharing Kari 💜🎨🖌️💜
Thank you so much Janene, long time, no see, I hope you are doing well! 💗💗
I love the soft colors!! I’m inspired to pull out my inks now 😊
Thanks Monica, I know, the inks are totally different to acrylics and I too, love the soft colours!💗
Soft and pretty. Thank you for showing us. Ordered a plate after resisting for months 😮
Hope you like playing with your plate when it comes - be warned, it is addictive! 💗
Thank you for sharing, Kari! I’ve never tried!🌹❤️
Thanks Penka! 💗💗
LOVELY SUBTLE EFFECTS
I know, the inks calm my usual bright colours down a huge amount!
I haven't used my gel plate for quite awhile, but I am definitely going to try this. TFS❤
I am so glad you will try inks on your gel plate, they are certainly different and I love the effects you can get with them. 💗
Oh my!!! This will come in handy, i have distressed oxide inks i haven't touched for over 2 years. They are great Kari,,once again ❤
Oooh, yes, Maria, time to get them out and have a play! 💗
I love this. I've actually done this before, but totally forgot about it. I'm glad you done this to remind me how much I love it! I'm going to do some❤
Thanks Christy, sometimes we need a reminder, LOL (I quite often forget things too)! 💗
Love it!! I definitely plan to try this!
Yay, that is great, Mary, have fun! 💗
Another great video.
Thank you very much Lisa, got to love a bit of gel printing! 💗
This is brilliant Kari! I’ve just bought an A4 gell press (I only had a 7x5 press). So excited to give this a go! Thank you for sharing xx 😘

@@KariGibsonArt 🤣 I just need to work out how to stop lines appearing when I use the 3 different rollers I’ve bought 😬
@@AndreatheCumbrianCrafter It happens, unless you use a large roller. Using thin layers of paint helps too. 😀

Lovely!! Does it have to be the oxide inks, or will the regular distress inks work too?
Thanks - yes, regular distress inks work well too, I just don't have any except black! 😂💗
Do you have a recommendation for a good brayer? Mine will not roll😢
I don't recommend the cheap ones from Amazon, mine just fell apart while using them. I think any of the Essdee, Speedball or GelPress ones are good! I hope that helps, Christy! 💗💗
@KariGibsonArt thank you. Iwas looking at the speedball ones. I appreciate it ❤️
