I think I need to thank you (and/or whoever else) for wishing me luck with the whiskies I hinted at last time: I was successful in the ballot for the Elsham Wold Flarepath Second Release and a Kinclaith came in below my maximum bid, bringing my Scotch malt distillery total to 141, including 22 closed. A Remus from Ross & Squibb/MGP also means I have 80 bourbons now.
So,my 2024 scores were..15 bottles in and 3 bottles out 😁 Does nothing for my shelf space 😂 Book end bottles in for the year were Glencadam 17 Port Cask and Springbank 12 CS Looking forward to following your videos in 2025 Vin. All the best from this Pembrokeshire lad in Germany 🏴🥃🇩🇪
Just recently started subscribing on UA-cam and liking your content! Bottles I’ve gotten this month were: - Glenfiddich 12 (gift) it’s scary how a sip of this took me straight back to my starting point in whisky! Tamnavulin Sherry Cask (gift) not the total Whyte & MacKay write off I thought it would be - simple but enjoyable! Ardnamurchan Sherry Cask 2024 (gift) this is my Whisky of the Year - utter perfection! Santa had great taste!
OUT: GlenAllagie 15, Talisker 10, Lagavulin 12, Macallan 12 double cask…. A lot of out for me this month!! IN: Roseisle 12. Happy new year Vin! All the best!
All the best for 2025 Vin, keep up the good work. After listening to you I’ve recently doubled bottles open. I was way too strict in hindsight. As a result none finished. One opened was the George Inveraray bottling of Ardnamurchan. My Whisky of the year I think 👍🥃
Well November was heavy so a lighter month balances out. One thing I notice is the quality of all your bottles is very good across the board. For me, December may be my heaviest whisky in month of all time since my "souvenirs" from my trip to Scotland arrived on Christmas eve. I spent the two weeks exploring what I really wanted to bring home and purchased these from Royal Mile Whiskies and had them shipped. I just happen to hit a special deal where they shipped for free if I spent over 500 quid. So here is the list: Longrow, Signatory Speyside (m) 13 yo, Glenmorangie 18 The Infinita, RMW bottling of Glen Grant 21 (stunning), RMW Arran Private Cask 12 yo, and Octomore 15.1. I also got the Octomore 15.3 for Christmas. No bottle kills in December. Thanks for a great 2024, Vin. I wish you a happy and blessed 2025.
Great video as usual Whisky out Old comber Longrow Whisky in Firkin/NNW bottle Summerton bottle you mentioned Summeeton extra bottle 10 yr old american oak Friend at hand girona gold (12 yr old bushmills matured in sherry) Shortcross 7 yr old peated matured in cognac and orange liquer cask. Seasons greetings Vin - Like you a quieter month. Whisky in - White Peak (English Oak) ; Cooper King (American Rye Cask & Double Matured) ; The Heart Cut (White Peak *10); Cotswold (Single cask PX Sherry). Whisky out - Cotswold Signature; White Peak (Caduro); Circumstance (Barley); Circumstance (Oat). Failed miserably at keeping on time with my advent calendar - still got 5 to catch up to Xmas day - good challenge for tonight!
Hi Vin. In- Teaninich 14 CS from Mossburn IB. Aultmore 17 signatory exceptional cask series, Glengoyne white oak and not forgotten Roys Loch Lomand 14 which I bought earlier in the year but picked up Christmas time when I was in England, so it’s kind of new. No bottles killed this month. Wish you and your family a happy new year and have a great 2025. Slàinte Vin
Hi Vin. Thanks for a great year of tasting reviews. Finished off the year with a few ins and outs.... INs - Springbank 12 CS, Glengoyne White Oak & you fab bottling of Linkwood Firkin 2011. Must try harder not to keep buying when I've got some much still to open. Have a great New Year and see you soon for more vids. Slainte.
HNY Vin, nothing new this month for me though I picked up a Cadenheads warehouse bottling of an 8YO HP in November that is being thoroughly appreciated, possibly one of my new favourites, far better than the OB’s (Shocking, I know!).
A light month indeed Vin, let's see what January brings 😃

HNY! Thanks for the sub and kind words!
I still use Glenfiddich as a palate resetter now. It's good to ground yourself every now and then

An exclusively English WIWO for you! Good work!
@@NoNonsenseWhisky Hi Vin - tend to avoid scotch now (apart from the new distilleries) - far too many great whiskies being made in England.
Been lucky (greedy) this year. Whisky in: Signatory Vintage 100 proof (Benrinnes 13, Glenrothes 10 and Speyside 13), Fettercairn Warehouse 14 and finally Ardnamurchan 10
Some nice bottles there!

Oh and a Hazelburn cage bottle, might even crack that tonight!
I'd love to try more Indie HP. Never seem to see it about though.
