Thanks for letting us travel the country with you and explore awesome places as well as awesome whiskies. Love the list and will definitely be adding more SM to my collection in 2025! Cheers 🎉
Kudos for your recognition of Wild Turkey 70th. It is a beautiful pour and I think many people wrote it off before even trying it with it being “only” 8 years old, 101 proof and $50 dollars.
Great list! Supposed to be getting a Corbin Cash soon and I did receive a healthy sample of Bird Creek thanks to your recommendations! Congrats on a fantastic 2024!
Phil and Julie, great list - not because I have, or finished, 7 of your 20. I guess my palete is close to both of yours. My top 5 for 2024 are: 5) Burnt Church Anita's Choice 6 Grain Bourbon (SC); 4) Cotswold's Founders Choice Cask Strength Single Malt (England); 3) Pursuit United Double Oaked Bourbon; 2) Westward ASM Rum Cask Finished; and 1) Glenmorangie Signet. All the best in 2025. Cheers!
Thank goodness for a list that DOESN'T contain all of the same whiskeys that everyone "hunted" this year. This is a fantastic 'think-outside-the-box' Top 20. And if anyone unsubscribed after watching this, that unsubscriber is soooo STUPID! #BourbonVan4Life #VanSavants
Excellent list and presentation. Stuff and Whiskey had a bottle left over from their barrel pick from Cedar Ridge which was delicious. Consider contacting them
Wish Corbin Cash was available in michigan, one of my favorites this year was the Savage and Cooke Cask strength 116 proof whiskey finished in zinfandel barrels, they also have a Bib and a custom blend finished in 3 different wine barrels😋 Cheers 👍🥃💯
Intriguing and fresh look at a top 20 list! It’s why I follow you guys to learn new things and always be on a journey! Cheers & Happy New Year🎉 Keep crushing it 2025🥃🥃
Great list! After all your gushing about Cedar Ridge Quintessential, I found the cigar malt in my local store...FLAVOR BOMB!! Thanks Julie & Phil! Happy New Year my friends!!🎉🥃
Holy Heck.......your # 2 bottle is in my possession and is one of the interesting bottles I have ever tasted, plus just 1 hour ago I picked up 2 bottles of the Wild Turkey 70th anniversary edition @ 52 bucks each.
The Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Rye, Batch 1, is fantastic. The Double Barrel Bourbon, Batch 4, is good also. Cedar Ridge has been doing different finishes with their Single Malt. I picked up an Armagnac finished one the other day. Enjoyed your list. Would like to find that 70th anniversary bottle.
Not surprised by the Cedar Ridge one of the better bourbons I've had was an employee pick that i picked up at the distillery,I wound up going back before we left to grab another , Happy New year.🥃
Hello, I saw your 1 whiskey of 2024. I recently saw a video from the Bourbon Note. He did a blind tasting with Wild Turkey 101 vs your number 1. He chose 101? He said they were so similar in flavor. Anyway, have a happy new year. Adam
Nice list! I agree that American single malts are on the rise, but there are still some clunkers out there. Thus my 2024 favorites are SiBs-your Whiskey Del Bac pick and IBN’s Rare Character Exceptional pick-chosen by trusted palates. As for bourbon, my surprise favorite is the 2024 Woodford Reserve Batch Proof. It’s not a WhiskeyTube darling but won every blind for me against heavy hitters, so I have to give it the nod.
That Del Bac Single Barrel Selection was a thing of beauty. We're glad you enjoyed it. We have passed on the last couple Woodford Batch Proofs, but maybe we need to give it another shot.
Will the channel be renamed - Single Malt Van (SMV)? JK. Great list! I still struggle to get on the SM train but will keep exploring. Surprising #1 but such a great bottle for the $$$ and for a Turkey fanatic, very exciting! HNY and safe travels.
The goal of our channel is to showcase non-mainstream distilleries we discover in our travels. 50% of these whiskeys were purchased at the distilleries that produced them. Happy New Year.
The Corbin Cash Merced rye this year introduced store picks. That may disqualify them from many people's top 10 lists, but if you ever see one of them on the shelf - BUY BUY BUY!! 😺 In 2025 Corbin Cash is going to start releasing more bourbons, similar to the Lost Lantern, potentially at Hazmat level. Looking out for those.
Great list! Westward Milestone sounds great! My top few: Russell’s 15yr J Daniels Coy Hill Michters 10yr bourbon Michters B S Rye Magnus cigar blend Presidential Dram 8yr Larceny BP C924 Booker’s Reserve Little Book Infinite Bardstown Disco 12 J Daniels 12yr Barrell Ice Wine finish Cheers!
Number 17 that Crdar Ridge has to be the worst bourbon I have tried young and horrible finish taste so bad. Maybe I got a bad batch man that was the worst thing I have ever drank.

The Wild Turkey 70th is amazing!

Have never seen it in any store to date..

You are the most amazing people. You want to go to Mexico sometime?
I think I sent you the Ben Holliday SRW for 5 sip Friday! Glad it made #10! Great bottle!😊
That's right! Thanks Bob!

Was able to get 2 bottles of the Cedar Ridge Quintessential for $19/each. Couldn’t believe that price. So tasty
Great list! Cheers to 2025!!!

Great list. I enjoy being pushed to look for new experiences. I'm going to look for the Glenglassaugh. Non peated, of course.
We've seen the Sandend in Chicago a few times. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The only 2 bottles I have that you mentioned are the Cedar Ridge Full Proof, great, and the JR 70th, amazing, got it for $42 at Mariano's in Gurnee.
Not surprised by the Cedar Ridge one of the better bourbons I've had was an employee pick that i picked up at the distillery,I wound up going back before we left to grab another , Happy New year.🥃
Happy New Year, Frank!

How much of this list is even commonly available? Looks pretty foreign to me. Happy New Year. Peace❤

@ good to know.

It's also a great distillery to visit. Meeting the family and camping overnight in their sweet potato field was a highlight of the year for us.
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
I miss kitty cat.
Great list! Westward Milestone sounds great! My top few:
Russell’s 15yr
J Daniels Coy Hill
Michters 10yr bourbon
Michters B S Rye
Magnus cigar blend
Presidential Dram 8yr
Larceny BP C924
Booker’s Reserve
Little Book Infinite
Bardstown Disco 12
J Daniels 12yr
Barrell Ice Wine finish

What a time to be a whiskey drinker! We've literally only tried one whiskey on your list. That Ice Wine finish sounds wild!
Number 17 that Crdar Ridge has to be the worst bourbon I have tried young and horrible finish taste so bad. Maybe I got a bad batch man that was the worst thing I have ever drank.
I thought the same thing when I got mine. In a few months it did get better. Not great, but not nearly as bad as when I first opened it.
@@timtaylor1616 maybe but I dumped it out. Hands down the worst pour of the year and I tired hundreds of new pours.
I’m sorry but you lost me at Balcones.
