Welcome back to Canada!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks for stopping by bro, good seeing you again! I’ll come visit soon! 💕
Glad you made it home safe and sound. 👍
It’s good to see someone taking such good care of the rig
Good trip JJ I followed along the whole time, through the desert SW / Death Valley 🌵 into Mexico ... You're living the dream brother ... Hope to see you out there this coming year... As always, be good, be kind and be careful 😹
Consider a winch setup on board for back country roads. Welcome home
Yes another reason why I put receiver on front of the truck.
Going to need it for sure
I assume the 6 months max within a year period of time ( not calendar year though ) still applies to Canadians wanting to stay or travel in the states ?. Otherwise though the plans you laid out if they come to pass sound great, down the east coast to see more, winter in Florida for a while, then venture across the lower states and then up the west coast seeing more such as the redwoods etc although the time of year may not be ideal. Alaska or north anyway sounds like an excellent plan, might need some industrial mosquito spray next summer though !.
Speaking of changing oil in the diffs, I am guessing that your truck has actual drain plugs on it but I gather either for 2023 or into the 2024 model year for sure I am seeing youtubers that say there are no drain plugs on either the front or rear diff of at least the single rear wheel HD GM trucks, so its back to removing the cover just to change oil, that is certainly taking a step back from what was an easy operation to perform.
No drain plug just fill. It’s ok wanted to look at the magnet anyway. The gaskets are reusable so no big deal.
@@jjsoutthere7267 Oh, so I guess its too new as well and understand the rear diff anyway has an area cast into the housing that is where the drain plug threads were back when they still manufactured it with the threads and I gathered it was a magnetic plug at that time. This will be interesting though, to see how well the used gasket works at resealing. From what I gather with the last few model years as per GM factory fill diff oil, the rear is a 75W90 limited slip gear oil while the front is a 75W85 "high efficiency" oil. Transfer case Dexron VI, 6 speed transmission also uses Dexron VI ( the 10 speed uses a different specialty oil though ). Don't quote me on these oils but I think that is the theme for your truck as per factory fill oils.
So where are you going to begin your east coast trip
From Ontario!! lol
Northern Quebec..Labrador..Newfoundland
lol k that’s going to be a beautiful trip
