You are correct! This track doesn't have words, it's just singing stuff that sounds like words. This song, Kodama, was made inspired by the movie ''Mononoke Hime'' (Princess Mononoke), maybe that's why it feels ''cinematic''. I highly recommend you ''Protection'' by Alcest. Great reactions!
Sorry for the late reply. You got lost in my recommended feed somehow. Thank you so much for checking it out! I agree that it's everything I wanted Slint to be. Everyone raves about Spiderland, but it just doesn't do it for me. I love progressive and cinematic composition in my metal music!
Great reaction to a great band! You could continue the journey by reacting to the second track "Eclosion" on the same album, it showcase their sound even more than this particular track. Or check out tracks from another album, perhaps the song "Les Voyages de l'âme" from the album with the same title. There is also a "hidden gem" on that record called "Faiseurs de mondes", one of my definate favorites, second part of that song is pure beauty together with some blast beats ❤🤘
It's a duo between the composer Neige (vocals, guitars, bass) and the great drummer Winterhalter. In addition, since 2010, for their live tours, they are joined by Pierre "Zero" Corson (guitar, backing vocals) and Indria Saray (bass).
The most beautiful choirs I’ve ever heard
Wow. That's an endorsement.
I first heard this song in a slightly buzzed, half asleep state and it was magical
I have a couple songs like that...know what you mean.
Alcest is awesome! My favorite track from them is "Souvenirs d'un autre monde"
Thanks so much CJ.

Good to hear from you. Always love your comments.
Another great blackgaze song that I would recommend is Heart of Light - An autumn for crippled children
Thanks for the suggestion PzM. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words Driftwood and the suggestions. Much appreciated.
Gracias por la reacción, me encanto. Por favor reaccioné a Alcest - Là Où Naissent Les Couleurs Nouvelles, es mi canción favorita
De nada Rodgrigo.
Sí. También es mi favorita. 🧬❤️
Well the best member of the group is definitely Alcest, because it's a solo band. I think it's even more impressing how good this guy is
Solo band: that's a good description. Thanks MPTY.
lol
Not a solo band at all. It's a duo
