Now I’m imagining Kuja getting hit by Beatrix’s Shock, getting up, smirking at the fallen party, flying off on the Silver Dragon, flying a lap around the sky before joining up with the party for the next random battle 😂
I'm used to "solo character" runs meaning, that every other character uses all their turns to suicide as fast as possible, so they won't work as a meat shield, since that's very much not solo. Other than that, cool run!
Kuja is straight up my favorite ff villain of all time. Such an amazing and complex character that really doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I really hope they continue to iron out the bugs of using him as a character in later updates too. If my PC wasn’t packed away into boxes at the moment while I’m trying to move I would absolutely be looking up how to do this 😂😂 I will need to boot up my emu when it’s unpacked and hit up dissidia 012 as well lol
@@sakuram69 - I totally agree 100%! Kuja has always been my favorite villian in the entire series (next to Emet-Selch of FF14) and I love that other people appreciate him and his arc 🔥🔥🔥
@ right?? And don’t even get me started on Emet lol shadowbringers destroyed me. I never wanted my PC to lose a fight more. I mean… he wasn’t wrong. I mean, knowing everything, especially knowing he was made as a type of beta project to be discarded… I honestly cannot say I wouldn’t have reacted exactly the same way. I could not imagine the depths of that kind of despair. His only parental figure would never recognize him as a person and everything he did was for a twisted sense of approval. His redemption at the end though gets me every time. He finally figured out he needs to live for himself and do what he feels is right only at the very end of his life. To me I loved the summoning of Anima and Bahamut in FFX, when I first played FFX on PS2 and saw them summoned and their overdrives, bloody chills was given to teen me
Diabolos in FF8 one of my faves, just the aesthetic and the noise when he pulls down the orb, sounds like its breaking the sound barrier, then the bats and demon sounds after 😩
@@Khaos87NG Same. My favorite summon from the whole entire series I think, I just love his character design and aesthetics too much. Bahamut’s design from FFIX is my second most favorite.

The Octogon Rod isn’t available until Mt. Gulug opens up. Esto Gaza sells only Mythril equipment until then to prevent you from getting those other items early.
Trance increases each time you get hit but the damage taken doesn't matter. Higher spirit stat makes the trance bar fill faster because the random portion of the formula takes a number between 1 and the spirit stat.

I still have a soft spot for Bahamut in FF7 (the base one, not Neo or Zero.) It was his first 3d appearance, and even though the graphics of the game haven't aged terribly well, every time I summon him I still get a flash of the same delight a much younger me had all those years ago.

Favourite FF summon by far is the FF9 Atomos cutscene. Just this huge Lovecraftian monster breathing in and sucking everything into the void really tickles my pickle. I always wanted to make warlock in DnD based off of it.
for late game stuff that's reaching damage cap, adversity would act as a massive buff to your survivability. normally you cap at 9999 hp and enemies can do 9999 damage. with adversity the cap will still be 9999 damage but you can have 10x health.
I don't think I can bring up an absolute favourite summon across the entirety of the FF series but I really did love a lot of the summons in nearly every title for different reasons lol. FF6 (the best) had so many it was awesome to see what one I could get next. FF 7 had the beginning of 3D for the series so there was that ground breaking title, FF8 (black sheep to me) had some unique ones like FF6 but I loved how Bahumet got different versions which was crazy to learn at the time but Shiva I will forever associate with Squall and if I ever play it again I will always have her junctioned to him. FF9 has to be Alexander, Bahamut and Arc and also Madeine for a 4 way tie I'm afraid

in regards to the favorite summon question, it's probably Leviathan. and I can't put my finger on WHY but...I like the FF8 versions of Ifrit, Leviathan and Bahamut more than any other versions of those summons.
Flare doing more than Mega Flare or Flare Star is very normal if you only have 1 Garnet/are fighting an opponent that isnt a very high level. Flare Star will virtually always be weaker, but it hits groups and ignores defenses at least. Also, Silent Claw is so strong because of Absorb Strength most likely. Tiamat enhances his own strength each time he uses it while lowering yours. The longer the fight, the stronger he buffs himself.
For me it's Shiva in almost every Final Fantasy (10 is my favorite though as I can control her). Every time I used her, nothing stood a chance. She hit so many times in a row and did max damage she was a true monster, a beautiful monster but still.
I am not 100% certain but if I remember correctly the trance bar gain in FFIX is not affected by how much damage you take only that you take damage. So my guess is that the point with adversity is to play into the fantasy of playing as a boss character without completely breaking the game.

Damage has not actual effect taken. When you're hit, your gauge fills between 1 and your max spirit stat. And that number fills the bar. High Tide ensures that the number is always the max amount.
Adversity probably DOESN'T help with trance, because the amount of dzmage you take actually DOES NOT impact the amount of trance you receive. Each time you take damage from an enemy attack, your trance gauge goes up by a random amount between 1 and the character's Spirit.
