    Bob: I was really sick a decade ago (finally figured out it was lyme) and one of the biggest challenges was my body was a mess but my mind was fine and others sometimes forgot that. I love that the description includes that your thinking is still fine! Totally get that.

    Just started using the band with the Ab Wheel its a game changer litterally.
    I can do the exercise deeper, rolling out further with near total control. Sloppy form can make this exercise dangerous but the loop band eliminates all that....a great, great tip.

    What an idea to use the band to help with the wheel! My son and I used to do it and laugh ourselves silly when it was my turn because I was hopeless. You come up with the best ways to do things! That's why I love your show.

    You are right on target for what I need. Just tried a variation on your idea. I got a grocery store plastic bag and stood in my widest door frame, back against one side. hands on the bag on the other side of the frame. I was able to slide easily up and down, and BOY can I feel it. I have a rolling pin but it is really old and I was afraid the center dowel would crack. Work with what you've got. Thanks gobs.

    Thanks for all the options with the ab wheel. You're always helpful at showing how exercise can be modified to prevent injury while still being effective. I do like how I feel the effect of the ab wheel in my lower abs right away.

    Wha?!! Nice!... I started up again last week. How soon we forget. Love it!. Good for tri-ceps as well. Your arms roll out keep your trunk pretty stationary.... The wall is definitely safer for the back

    You guys always give fantastic advice I'm a fan, however be aware if that band snaps your face/eyes are in a extremely vulnerable position. (I've had them snap during assisted pull ups..not a fun experience).

    I’ve had baseball conditioning and the last few days my biceps have been in pain. It hurts to flex and extend, however your massage gun offers some relief only temporarily however. I wonder what’s happening to my biceps?

    • @BobandBrad
      @BobandBrad  2 роки тому +1

      We would suggest you consult your physician and get a proper examination, the massage gun should help until you can get there.

    I know you guys dont recommend regular ab crunches but how about shallow ab crunches where you only lift until your abs are contracted? Not going all up in contrast to regular crunches. I wanted to do that thinking its much easier and effective than leg raise.

    The loop bands are called pull-up bands because they can be used to assist on pull-ups.

    28 years ago I had a wheel and was doing 75 to 100 reps a day for quite a while( many months then one day I was getting toward 50 reps and my back completely blew out from the stress and my life has never been the same. I highly do not recommend this wheel exercise for anyone ever there’s a whole lot of other things that do not put the stress on your spine like this hideous thing does. Do not do this wheel exercise ever.

      It sounds like too much reps and not enough rest. And that will cause you to do them with bad form.

    You're not doing that ab wheel exercise correcting. You are arching your back taking your abs out of the exercise. How you're doing it works the hip flexers more, right?
