The attention to detail is amazing most people would just pull it apart and put new bits back in and wack it back together so satisfying seeing you clean each and every bit and painting the little things 👌 perfect
Serious shop envy over here. The thought of doing this on axle stands fills me with dread.
That lift just made the transmission removal look like a piece of cake!
Toyota makes the best parts in the world, second to none.
With this kind of skill, you're truly underated..... this channel should be at 800k subscribers if not a million.
That’s a great tip on the por 15 stuff. I had to buy a new can the last time.
Thanks for all the free entertainment Austin. Love your channel
Impressive work dude. I'm already getting some anxiety just thinking if i wouldn't remember how to put that transmission back together.
Recording and taking pictures of what your taking apart helps so you can go back and work backwards
احسنت بارك الله بك اخي الكريم جعلها الله في ميزان حسناتك انت مخلص في عملك
Great video series helping me out alot. You make it look easy, but I'm confident I'll get mine done in a day and ready to put in my 95 with a flat bed I built
Change the clutch fork while you are at it and grease it up good when you install it. I have seen those forks wear through at the pivot ball.
What a freaking pro! Definitely knows what he's doing.
Good job! Looking forward to the next episode.
Just WISH I had your setup and TIME to do my rebuild RIGHT. 🔥as always!!
Sorry to hear about the accident hope you get well soon ❤️🩹
Amazing work, man. Keep it up.
Your just spoiling yourself now,all these new gadgets, keep doing what your doing and carry on.😎😎😎👍👍👍
425k on mine. Works great.
This is awesome!
Nice work Austin
Get the transfer case seals from toyota, they still make them. I just did the ones on my 91 4runner.
Ball joints, seals and bearings ALWAYS OEM Toyota!! A little most cost = a lot less headache!!
Terrain tamer in Australia would probably have a rebuild kit for that transfer case as it’s the same as the VZJ95 Land cruiser Prado
Hope this helps
Helps me! I have a dodgy transmission leaking fluid in my 95 series Prado.
Dang good job dude
Great video 🥳🤩
I'm rebuilding my R150F, had to replace the countershaft, 2nd gear and reverse gear.
Great video sharing
Make a video on how you organize all the stuff you rip out please
No entiendo un carajo de lo que dice pero me gusta el contenido y que aprende bastante
Nice video 👍
It would be interesting if you show how you put all these parts to remember what goes where in the reassembly
Good afternoon, help to eliminate the leakage of antifreeze through the connecting tube of the radiator stove ,I tried everything thank you
Road to 120k subs!!!
:39 play it forward! Home boy got beats! 😆
Hi new sub greatins from Panama City Panama👍🇵🇦
Is it possible to swap the r150f transfer case onto that transmission ?
What year was this truck and transmission ? Great job. I have a 2012 trd tacoma not sure what transmission is in it think it's a 4speed automatic but I'm thinking about rebuilding sometime in the future
I am wanting to swap an R series transmission into my 1999 4runner 3.4. I am wondering if I can use my existing transfer case, the one that is behind the automatic. I have heard they are the same transfer case, but I suspect the shifters are different Siri do you know anything about this?
Anyone know why after my rebuild I can’t go back or fourth. Only thing not replaced is valve body
I'm trying to figure out if this is the transmission that is in my 01 PreRunner 2.7 automatic 4 cylinder if so it has 442 thousand miles on it
Greetings. To change only the input shaft bearing, do you have to disassemble the entire transmission?thank you.
Will a 04 Tacoma j shift case Mount to a 96+ r150f? I can’t find any Tacoma r150f’s in my area. Everything’s pass drop
I would mess this up guaranteed !🤔😄
Have you checked marlin crawler? They have pretty much everything I've ever needed.
He definitely knows about Marlin Crawler. I spotted on of their blue shifter bushings in his transmission in the video.
Forgive me if you’ve answered this already. I was wondering if you put more than one coat when you’re powder coating any of the parts? Is there any advantage or disadvantage to spraying two or three coats on any of the small parts that you’ve experienced or found in your research?
No I don’t believe there is any advantage to additional costs of powder!
Did your forks have a groove on them when you took them out? I am taking apart my transfer case on my tacoma and the forks have a groove in them that looks like its been wearing over time but i cant really tell.
Any reason why you didn't replace synchros while you were in there?
They are in good shape and aftermarket synchros aren’t that great
I have to replace my input shaft. Any way to do this without pulling both shafts from the center supporting plate?
what happen to your input shaft?
What year model is this toyota tacoma?
I've been on the verge of whether I should buy a transmission that has about 247k miles on it that includes everything to convert my 03 Tacoma to 4x4 all for $800 dollars.
Or buy a lower milage transmission for 2,000 plus dollars..
How has your Tacoma doing now?
Hey brother how do feel about por 15 on the Fram
Works great
What year is this
👍👍👍
Which transmission is this ? Have a 96 4runner 4wd and going have to rebuild mine
This is the r150f
Ok thank you for responding back
👍🏻
You need a smaller 3/8 impact for the smaller bolts brother. Using that heavy 1/2 must have gotten tiring lol.
Look at the arms on that yung-un !
My 3/8 drive didn't break any of these bolts. Need a half inch
Howuch do they charge for a rebuild from a actual good shop I have a 95 Tacoma 2w drive with 270 milles
Cost me $2500 at Toyota, but that was 10 years ago.
Austin, do you have any formal training? Did you grow up in a fabrication and repair family or environment? I know things are not always as they seem in videos, but you have tackled some big projects that turned out great. That can not be faked. Just wondering, because I have very little fab skills and little mechanical aptitude.
No training! I figure this all out myself!! Thank you!
I've got a 2006 Tacoma 4.0L with a 6 speed manual in the shop. Do you know if the rebuild and setup are basically the same as your tranny in the video? Appreciate any info.
I’m not sure! I’ve never been in a 6 speed!
Correction 2005
@@austinniemela Thanks for the very quick reply
Crack 👌
If the transmission has 300,000 miles on it , one would think the transfer case would also.
No one around here wants to or dont have the knowledge to rebuild my R 155 F
looks very similar, i have mine torn apart and it looks almsot the same
Its a tundra not a taco
You don't even have any idea 🤣🤣
Dang thanks for letting me know!!
