+dale pratt, Thanks, I've got tons of video from the area, I'm just not a fan of the effort to edit it all. LBL (Turkey Bay) is still a great place to off-road and just get away from the mall traffic. We were out there just this past Saturday, we try to get out there 2-3 times a year in our old Willys.
I know I was somewhere off of Tharpe road, in an area I probably wasn't supposed to be in...but it was an old logging trail, pretty washed out by rain...and I couldn't resist. This was back in the late 80's after I got out of the service...born and raised in Clarksville. From your name..gotta ask...chopper pilot?
Dale, I just retired from the Army after 31+ years. Yes, Cobra initially and Apache since early 88. I arrived at Ft Campbell the first time in early 1986. Not sure what I'll do next. I like Clarksville and the area, but I'll have to go wherever the next job leads. Jeep Jamboree USA hosts a Jeep ride at LBL every May. I highly recommend it as a weekend adventure type get away if you ever have the chance or are remotely interested in off-roading.
I'm in Ohio now, 16 years now. don't get home anymore...both parents buried there but no real reason to visit since...no hills here in my part of Ohio..Long career you had..gotta say thanks for your service, for sure. Kim loves to edit, and does my limited videos for me, or else I probably wouldn't post the ones I have.
My old stomping grounds! I was in a 4WD power-wagon...but LBL is a fun place to off-road! Great upload.
