Recent conversation with a widely followed youtuber motivated me to begin posting a few videos of my own. I'm not sure where it'll take me, but lets just see how it goes.

Wheel Horse in the garden
Переглядів 241 тис.10 років тому
Video is from 2011. Dad on my 1964 Wheelhorse 854 garden tractor. Dad had been in the habit of controlling weeds with a hoe, so I modified an old cultivator to help ease the work load. I got this tractor from the second owner in the late 90's, rebuilt the 8hp Kohler engine and restored & painted it back to original condition. Also have many other attachments for it; Works great.
My serial says S 1638
Hello Hajur♥♥♥♥♥Great work
Great trail riding
Dear friend, I am from Russia. We do not sell such tractors. I want to make myself the same as in this video. I ask you to make a short video with the overall and basic dimensions of this tractor. thank
Sumbitch is LOUD ---
Yea, I've toyed with building my own muffler for it. Perhaps someday.
Like the Wheelhorse

Love the tractor doing work!
Great garden!
Thank you. This was typical of the gardens my mom & dad would have a few years ago. Someday when the circumstances allow, I'll do the same.
from where i found a garden tractor and how much i pay for it ?
Deepak, This is an antique. They were built really well, so they can still be found today. Price or cost always depends on condition, but they aren't terribly bad on price for what you get.
sir how to buy this tracter in india and the cost price
This model hasn't been made since 1964, but later models are still around. Toro ultimately bought the name.
send me the details and u r number
they were built like farm tractors
Wheel Horse, "It's strong and built to last."
Just a relaxing drive in the country! Where were you?
Wife loves to provide colorful commentary anytime I'm driving, regardless of conditions. This is just a clip from a visit to Wooly's Offroad park in lower middle Tennessee sometime last year.
I gathered she did from an earlier video you posted. :-) I had a driveway once that at times resembled that track you were driving on!
Have you heard of a place near you called the "chirt pit"? It's down off lylewood road and I don't know if it still exists...we used to go down there to shoot and to offroad. I just checked Google Earth, it's still there but it doesn't look as if the place is still abandoned. It would be off Chirt Pit road in indian mound...I saw buildings there and parking areas, but back in my time there it was just an old gravel quarry.
Not familiar with it, but I'll check it out. Thanks
It may be a thing of the past now that there are buildings there...google earth "chert pit road" indian mound, tn and see what you think. It used to be deserted when we hung out there.
very nice job sir
Thanks, I appreciate your comment. This tractor was a childhood dream that wouldn't let go. While growing up in the 60's watching the man across the street use one like this every Saturday in his nursery, I knew I had to have one. Finally after about 30 years of dreaming I decided to find one and this is the result. I need to get more video of it doing various chores.
i am a home gardner myself ,it is nice to see you working the land, this is the pleasure of the summer,i past my days in the garden 65 x 70 .a lot of work but what a leisure does it bring from composting to harvesting ! keep going

very nice tractor
Thank you Allen.
what kinda tractor is that? did you make it?
It's a1964 Wheelhorse 854. I rebuilt and repainted it in the late 90's.
Thank you that thing is awsome! I didn't read the title only afterwards notice it and good job on the rebuild
@@MrGunPilot And you will note that Toro wanted a tractor so they bought out Wheel Horse tractors. Buying parts for these little girls, it will say, Toro, Wheel Horse and Lawn Boy on the parts package.
what is the price in india
I am not sure what it would cost in India. Sometimes they are available on eBay or other sites. Depending on condition they range from $150 to $1000 US dollars.

very good
Great looking tractor, looks like your dad really enjoys it.
Thanks D, he wouldn't touch it for years, but eventually he learned to appreciate the time and effort it saved. It's a cool but strong little tractor.
My old stomping grounds! I was in a 4WD power-wagon...but LBL is a fun place to off-road! Great upload.
+dale pratt, Thanks, I've got tons of video from the area, I'm just not a fan of the effort to edit it all. LBL (Turkey Bay) is still a great place to off-road and just get away from the mall traffic. We were out there just this past Saturday, we try to get out there 2-3 times a year in our old Willys.
I know I was somewhere off of Tharpe road, in an area I probably wasn't supposed to be in...but it was an old logging trail, pretty washed out by rain...and I couldn't resist. This was back in the late 80's after I got out of the service...born and raised in Clarksville. From your name..gotta ask...chopper pilot?
Dale, I just retired from the Army after 31+ years. Yes, Cobra initially and Apache since early 88. I arrived at Ft Campbell the first time in early 1986. Not sure what I'll do next. I like Clarksville and the area, but I'll have to go wherever the next job leads. Jeep Jamboree USA hosts a Jeep ride at LBL every May. I highly recommend it as a weekend adventure type get away if you ever have the chance or are remotely interested in off-roading.
I'm in Ohio now, 16 years now. don't get home anymore...both parents buried there but no real reason to visit since...no hills here in my part of Ohio..Long career you had..gotta say thanks for your service, for sure. Kim loves to edit, and does my limited videos for me, or else I probably wouldn't post the ones I have.
Dad in the garden around 2011. 1964 Wheelhouse 854, taking it to the weeds.
what is price
I think I paid $100 or $150 US when I bought it nearly 20 years ago.
@@MrGunPilot And you will note that you can do many things with these little girls, like mowing the grass, plowing and tilling the ground, plowing snow, pulling a cart full of either dirt or whatever you want to do with them, you can do. Much better than that zero turn radius garbage go carts they wsnt to sell you these days, all they is mow grass, nothing else.
