Looking good! You can go straight now, justino turning. Can't wait for the next episode. The sleeping bit was a nice touch. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy, still in Yuma, warm, sunny, gentle breeze. Life is good. 😷⚒
Fall Creek Oregon I have a 1982 Chevy short wide I put a 383 Stroker and and 14-bolt rear ends and 15 inch lift I'm running 39th right now I want to get bigger going to be doing my crossover steering and power assist this summer
Watching from San Mateo, California. I have an 85 GMC K3500 that I am just starting on and getting ready to change sprains and add a crossover steering. Thanks for the video, I'm sure it will be helpful. I want to see you other videos and see how you got here.
Another great video. I commented previously that I also have a square body (78 K5) that I’m upgrading with many of the same parts from Offroad Design. Custom leafs, extended shock mounts, cross over steering….etc. It has been entertaining and helpful to watch you go through the same processes. I also found it funny when you hopped in your daily driver to go to the parts store because I also have a white Ram diesel. It’s a 2014 3500 called “The Beast”. Keep up the good content.
As I'm watching, I would highly recommend a kingpin rebuild and run brass cones. Mine eventually started to do the death wobble so I did that initially, then went to spring less. Steering is a lot tighter.
Good stuff brother, didn’t know what a kingpin was either, but had read about them in forums. I’ve got an ‘84 K10 with 10 bolt front and back. I’ll be daily driving/pulling a trailer on occasion and go in the woods maybe 3-4 times a year. Might consider a 14 bolt rear but my question is on the front. Is crossover steering suffice for me, because I’m at least doing that, or is adding high steer worth it or even a good idea? Thanks
The only real advantage of high steer is to keep the tie rod out of the way from bashing it into obstacles. If your not gonna rock crawl it then I wouldn’t bother.
@@PootsGarage I’m trying to find the right studs for mine I’ve done everything you have done . By the way thanks for the videos I watch them as I build my truck very helpful… I have a few questions.. are your studs 9-1/6 x18 ? How long are your front studs lugnut 4x4 sent me 9-1/6 x18 on the back I’m looking to do the same on the front I’m putting American forces on mine and the stock are not long enough so I need new ones I found some but they are like 1700$ for 8 and I’m not doing that that’s way outta my price range

Mine looked fairly fresh in there, but I will definitely do the upgrades eventually

How big of a lift do you have on this truck, how big are your springs arched?
Total lift is supposed to be 5”
Does the high steer change the way the truck drives?
