I keep telling everyone that Elysium Cologne is in a superior class to Aventus but they keep falling in the inception seeded over the years by youtubers or fragrance forums.
Everything in Elysium Cologne is way better than Aventus.

@@hrithik4515 Smell is a personal thing. I love Elysium Cologne, in my book it's better than Danger but that's how I think. Everyone has it's own taste in fragrances.

I took the plunge on Elysium last Summer and it became as one of my instant dumb reach of the season. I agree not the same as Aventus, totally different vibe.
Really interesting review & I appreciate the insight. I just ordered a bottle from NM. I know a lot of people mention projection is not strong do you ever just reapply the fragrance?
I think this is best to wear in spring/summer night time

I paid $315 for this and kinda disappointed with the projection and sillage. I was my very first bottle from this house. Don't get me wrong tho. It's a beautiful scent. Thx for a review. I totally agree with everything you said.

I agree with virtually with everything you said and you hit the nail on the head. But I do find it to be extremely bright at least on me. The grapefruit is fruit and center and it screams. I will also add that it is in no way shape or form like Aventus. Yes maybe you could categorize them together due to being fruity and musky but it ends there. Another one I find not like Aventus is Hacivat. Again you could categorize them together as being fruity and woody but that’s where it ends. All of those fragrances stand on there own wonderfully without having to be like one another but they will always be compared because most regard them to such a high standard and for good reason.
Funny I just got the PARFUm version recently and I think the Cologne is definitely brighter! Thanks for your feedback man!

I sprayed 12 times and it went away after 4 hours. And my wife could barely smell it too. What did I do wrong??
I think the only significant similarity between these two is their each brand's shot at a mass-appealing niche banger but that's about it! lol
Beautiful smell, scented water performance at best. This thing don't last even an hour being noticeable

I got this because I wanted something more updated and better than Aventus.
My unrefined nose must be no good because all I smell is heavy grapefruit. I will keep testing.

Received a decant today. I did not want to do the same mistake as in the past with blind buys (Armani Royal Oud e.g. etc.). Wow, amazing and absolutely what I was looking for. Tested many: Xerjoff (Naxos was top, but it´s maybe for colder weather), Creed SMW: amazing, freshy, but I think more suitable for womans (didn´t try Aventus though), PDM - huge disappointment for me unfortunately, maybe Percival and Herod (Layton Exclusif was an absolute disaster and let down, again just my opinion and experience, classic Layton was much better, Carlisle also not what I expected), but overall not what I was LF. I tested Roja then and Elysium is a winner for me. Decent freshy/leathery/bit sweety scent, I think suitable for offices (to the suit, for meetings, bussiness scent if you know what I mean) and daily wearing, elegant, still typical man fragrance, really wow. Will buy a bottle definitely. At the moment I am using Prada L'Homme EDT and it´s great too, but Elysium Parfum Cologne beats it for me. EDIT: another great thing is that I think (not only me, but I saw many testing videos) that this one is suitable not only for hotter weather, but also for cold, it is full of mysteries and still simple, sorry but this scent blew me away :D

I suspect that Elysium has undergone a reformulation. The decant I recently purchased has no power. Rightfully so upon release Elysium was considered a fresh beast. Regretfully I don't know if this is still accurate.

If it's a skin scent to me is money not well spent.
I've got a bottle I actually won in a waffle. I find it to be bright in the opening and sharp lol and i like it during the day as well. It just shows we're all different. But i absolutely agree it is not like Aventus at all and after the opening it is not really bright anymore and doesnt project crazy. I do get decent longevity which a lot of people complain about. As I try more and learn about more scents I find myself starting to think do I really want Elysium or should I trade/sell it, same with BR540 (another waffle win) not cuz I dont like them but for want of others I think lol and with BR540 although they arent the same Instant Crush(lol another waffle win) I enjoy and its 120ml vs. 70ml for much less $ but again they r def different so I get conflicted and keep em so far lol. Sry went off topic there but does that make sense to u? Any advice? Maybe it's because I've been sampling a bunch, like I have 5ml decants of Creed MI & Aventus Cologne and Xerjoff Nio, Kobe, & Mefisto comin Mon. And Gallivant discovery set and a bottle of their Los Angeles arriving tom idk. Lol sorry. Thanks a lot Troy.

Yeah my spring summer hits is what 40 perfumes long now so my bright and sharp might be different from you at this point lol and actually that 40 is just 1/4 of the whole lot. Like I said to me it’s my night time wear summer because it conveys a lot of how I want to use it. U could easily trade it and u should be okay doing that because there’s so many of it around that you’ll get it back at some point.

Ya know I've had a vintage batch of aventus and I' have a new aventus and the Elysium it's very bright the roja but there not connected or in the same family like the fact there bright and fresh but YOU are rite on your or how you discribed the aventus family 🙏 so but I totally get your point but guys need some shit to compare but elesium isn't what I expected at all it's nice my wife gave it the eeeww honey that's so nice but I'm not wowed by it even creation E I'm not blown away especially for the almost 900$ I plunked down for the roja elesium and creation E and the vetiver very like not what i expected bro but your rite with your point great job bro👍 be safe dude .....I'd still love to try the amouge gold the Putin favorite 🤔# just a fan👍

I like the smell, but this isn't even remotely worth it's price for me to be honest. I would consider it at half the price.

Did you see ROJA ELYSIUM is like combination of Creed Aventus mix with BDC ?
I like rojas perfume, but this one was a big disappointment i do think this was hyped up a lot by the community. For me the smell is not great and the performance is just weak, not worth the price.
That means Creed Aventus is superior right?!
I tested it tonight. 5 sprays and a spray on my hand. Literally after 3 hrs the scent is gone from chest. The spray on my hand I can smell but its faint and smells similar to Artisan Pure at this point. I really have to dig my nose on it. I’m disappointed. It did not work for me at all. I wonder if I have to let it macerate like Aventus or something but so far its the weakest frag I own to date.

Worst longevity ever. 10 minutes and then only iso-e ….
I found a way to get it to last a few hours after watching a Roja video. After spraying it [in a concentrated spot] immediately cover it with a moisturizer and it stops it from evaporating. I’ve found the thicker the moisturizer the better the performance. With this trick don’t expect an amazing longevity, it just doesn’t feel like such a waste of money doing this.
Overspray mate, my friend does 10 sprays of that thing, neck and clothes and i can smell it for hours and hours. And it projects in an elegant way, Roja's perfumes are not meant to be projecting beasts, it's class and elegance. This thing is too beautiful to not have it and trust me even tho you can't smell it's there.
Yeah I got a bottle in January from Jomashop and performance is AWFUL. It smells good but damn. Worst performance of all the freshies I have. Almost to the point where I think it’s fake.
