One of my fav bands. Something they do incredibly well is consistently play and sing the songs the way they were recorded. They don't need studio effects to sound good - they just sound good all on their own. Btw you can tell this is a live performance in Ty's guitar solo there is no second guitar rhythm track - just Dug's monster bass.
FUCKIN "A" damn these boys are bad ass been a fan since I cant remember when...... met and hung out with them in VA 4 yrs ago the nicest guys you would want to meet
It's too bad I never found a good teacher for instrumentation. Oh, I know plenty of musicians, just none with the patience to teach others. Like seriously, let me know if anyone does lol. Anyway, this is certainly a song I would love to cover. Growing up my parents played this album a lot [though I think there was still a good chance I would have heard it eventually anyway], and it's somewhat ironic that 'Black Flag' often feels like my theme song at times. Because there's always been this annoying cloud that buzzes (I call it deep somber thoughts, so...yeah I sort of understand that part of life); doesn't mean I always like it, but...still, I guess at least musically I wasn't restricted in what I could listen to. I have some relatives who do that to their kids, and that's a pretty crappy life to be that controlled that people think they own you. That is one thing I can really relate to (if it's the one place no one really touches is inside your mind, your heart, and the 'tune' that helps you through). That's one message I took away from the music is that, there are tiny pockets where you don't owe anyone and no one forces your hand; it's a tiny place, but there are some places that are just 'yours'. I think that's what I take away from this song. It's funny I was 11 when I first heard this song, and...all these years later, it still means something to me.
I agree 100%. The bored way he was banging the album about annoyed the hell out of me and seemed insulting to the band. Maybe not being American I'm just not used to it.
i felt like i was the only black person n south central L.A. listening 2 kings x while the riots going on... i probably was
Man Ty’s phrasing is so good. Tasty tapping. That’s some shit you don’t see enough of

It's not that hard to play! It's in drop d
Dennis Miller would have this bad ass band on his show, because he's cool just like KingsX
"...lookin' thru a 2x4."
A bands band.....
Music fromthe olds are not much different but maybe so you can change appearances, some what but style or mannerism you can not hide.
Dennis Miller demon horns
This is not live, so excuses are not Jimi Hendrix Experience
I cannot stand this t.v host. This guy seems worse than Letterman but what would I know. Never seen the show.
