I remember whenever I got frustrated with the game and was close to rage quitting, I'd just come back to the Comet Observatory and just listen to this music as I walked around it pretending I actually lived in that calming place.

Got all the way to the garden area, it was some Galaxy where the platforms appear as the screen scrolls slowly and disappears on the other side. I came back to it a few years back, had to start all over and I wouldn't have had it any other way, absolutely amazing game.
it's been a decade, probably more, since i first played these games. i would have been 7-8 and i'm 19 now. those were some of the best moments of my childhood. these games were such an incredible escape for me. i dont know why i'm leaving this comment but i was just filled with all these conflicting emotions because of this music. feelings of joy and nostalgia from remembering experiencing one of my favorite games for the first time, and feelings of sorrow and fear that i can't ever go back.

It's funny that prior to the 80s, Japan wouldn't export their culture to us because they thought we wouldn't like it. But we love Japan and Japanese culture!

I have many memories of playing this game as a kid, most of which are roaming the Comet Observatory hearing this beautiful music. I love how the music gets more lively-sounding the more Stars you collect. The final variant after the whole Observatory works again is my favorite because I hear it now every time I play the game!

That song came out around 1930-1940s. So wild how Nintendo got something so close to it.

Still, i can't help but feel they could've done a little more for the power stars, instead of making every one of them seem identical... i mean they were previously lumas for crying out loud!
