Speaking from personal experience, the homie had the studio. He would make a verse and then write a chorus that had nothing to with it. Thanks to him, I have my own studio now. 😂
I swear they still out there saying we hatin when all you had to do was change your verse. But his studio, his way. I bounced and said delete my verse. I can't fucl with this song. I'll Holla. Got myself a mic and fruity loopz, got my ppl on and never went back.
I was taught at a young age as a young artist to make sure that I construct my songs like book or story format where it has a theme a beginning a middle an end and I stayed on topic The hook should correlate with the verse and the version correlate with the hook and that's your correlate with the title of the song and when you do the video it should all correlate also. This is one of the hilarious things that I think just about every person who has ever written rap music has done. Usually you got a hook that's hard as f*** that you got saved up somewhere. And you got verses all of which you wrote separately that you're just trying to smash together in one song so you'll have a complete song. It's the best thing when you spot it. It always completely undercuts any seriousness in the song and a lot of people that do it I think are trying not to take themselves too seriously. They just want to enjoy riding the bars.
