Teacher Kimberly, you are such a selfless, wonderful human being. When you said ‘I don’t think my student are not normal’, that brought me to tears because by not having a judging or biases mindset, you are able to educate the child fully and make them whole too. The bond between the child and his teacher are so lovely. Thank you to Miss Kimberly and all teachers for special needs children. ❤

That is why it is equally important too, to teach normal children about empathy, to have compassion, kindness n to understand these special needs children. More importantly, to normalize Special needs children’s needs so tat our fast pace society can accept them readily without prejudice n they can grow up safely surrounded by kindness and acceptance. We still have a long way more to go but I believe it can happen.

I don't want people to go away thinking (after watching this video) that they are typical SPED school children. They are pretty high functional actually.

Also interesting that you used verbal vs non-verbal at first then switched to the high functioning/low functioning dichotomy, which are pretty archaic terms that much of the medical field is doing way with.

I taught for some time in a special needs school and it hit me pretty hard. Every day I would ask God why He'd put these kids amongst us.
Eventually after a long period of questioning, His answer to me was so that we can learn to love. Loving a physically attractive, highly intelligent kid is easy but a deeper love is love for these children that most of society pretends are invisible or even outright rejects. The caretakers are really heroes without capes, much stronger than the average parent or teacher.

a friend asked me, if i have a child with special needs what will i say to my child if he/she asked "why i'm different"?
    I answer.
God give this body to us only, everybody is unique, why? because everybody's role in this world is differ. Some people born to be heroes, some born to sing, some born to be athlete, some born to be mathematicians, and some born to be animal caregiver, and so and so...
And there are some people who are meant to be inspiration, who inspires the world, inspires teachers, inspires the humanity ❤ and that's you.
So give your best shot, so then everyone who think "they can't" they will stop think that way and survive the world together ❤ that's what inspiration is for. That's why your role is important dear ❤

    Belle: "God bless you always."
Miguel: "And please God stop the rain and heavy rain, and cloudy and..."
Belle: [laughing] "Why did I say God?"
    16:01
Miguel seems to see "God" as the decision-maker for the weather, instead of the listener-cum-executor for blessings to 'become normal', 'get a job' etc. (at least the first image bubbled up in his boundless imagination was the former)
People around him must have offered him an environment where bad weather is what he (or the mankind) needs God's help to get rid of, rather than "normal" worries which I often shortlist with my first instinct while praying. I find this beautiful.
