I never knew that about "dairy skin"! Thanks for sharing! They are all so pretty! If it's any consolation, I have problems with weight as well....on the goats, I mean. hahahaha.

very excited for babies! especially if you are working on herd genetics and things. I have 3 does that have various textures of udder. I like to refer to them in fabrics. hehe. one has a very denim jeans texture (she is like 8+ years old, but the udder has held up well) I have her daughter that I would say has a very cotton tshirt feel, then I have this other doe from dairy lines that I think you are referring to. she has just the silkiest udder around and that skin is so stretchy. I can't wait for her next kidding to see what her babies will bring. I have paired them with a dairy buck that improves udder attachments this year. 🥰

Don't take offense but I wouldn't have a goat with blue eyes, or a horse, a dog no blue eyes here. I'll take brown eyes everytime.im used to having Boer goats and their eyes are solid brown eyes they don't have the normal goat eyes they are just solid all over

Eye color is one of those things that I don't really care for (Udders! Udders are all I care about), but there is no denying that it is easier to sell flashy colors - both eyes and spots. I have 3 doelings from an AMAZING milker than I just can't get sold this year. Why? Because they are plain brown. 😭 It makes me so sad that people are willing to pass on amazing genetics for flashy colors, but that is definitely the market - at least in my area.

@@NewDayFamilyFarm I hear you, I've had people that only want liver colored capes on their bucks...I have a red caped buck and he mostly throws liver colored capes. They don't want blond or red capes when they're beautiful 586lb bucks. It's not like every child they have will be blond or red. It's funny but I do hear you. I do especially care about the does udders that's so important . That is passed down,so im with you, that's on the top of the list and feet, 🤣😂🤣😂
