So beautiful and so immense is Argentina. Is only when you travel withing Argentina you realized t how small is Europe. I travel by train from Mendoza to Buenos Aires and i felt so lost for words you just see emptiness everywhere and not a sole or a house for hours and hours. My brother who lives there said that you have to make sure you carry petrol for the car because you may never see a petrol station around . I am too old now to keep on travelling now and i think i have found the sunny village with the perfect weather.
Reminds me of many a journeys on Indian Railways during my childhood. The wind on my face, billowing clouds of smoke, sound of chugging steam engine, swaying carriages and the ever-changing landscape. Unforgettable.

Beautiful reminiscence..
This brings back memories of crossing the Andes from Argentina into Chile in the 1970s. They were breezy old British built wooden rail cars with loose, rattling wooden sash windows. I was unprepared and would probably have frozen to death, but for the generosity of an old lady who was very well prepared and lent me 2 of her extra blankets.
I also remember the excellent beer they served on the train. One benefit from World War 2 is that German refugees spread German brewing expertise all over South America. Almost all counties had excellent beer.
The great train robbery. The Van Ryan's express.
We are a country of immigrants, we learned a little from all cultures, how to do the work of thinking and seeing, we still have a long way to go but you are all welcome to travel a country in constant change with its follies and successes.
Beautiful video, loved the natural sound of a steam powered train. Thanks for sharing.
That was excellent. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Reminded of how the west cowboy movies of early 60's time were shown scenatic marvels
Beautiful video without unneeded commentary. Thank you!
A time capsule. Like a leap back in time 130 years or so. Astonishing and fantastic :-)
Stunning videography ! More is the landscape. The old horse pulling tirelessly !
Very nicely done! Loved the run-along by the horseman and his dogs!!
The video is excellent. The scenic beauty is simply mesmerizing. The vast expanse of arid zones and the colors in the sky and the whistle and clamour of the age old steam engine are simply in explicable. Love from Calcutta, India..
Thank you for making it without music! Great video!
Very nice filming of steam train. Use of shadows, sun, green fields, small river, horse etc. Love from India.
Parabéns a vocês argentinos que preservam o que é belo
Muchas gracias, estimados vecinos!!
Wonderful video with nice coverage of greenery and lovely landscapes with beautiful NG steam engine train. Thanks.
I am happy this Argentinian railway is doing its stuff: Surviving!
not any more.

Oh dear! This is one of the most cinematic travel videos I have ever seen. You have extremely refined sense of cinematography. Wonderful job! I know I am going to see this many times. Love from India!!!

I love old India songs by Ms Lata Mangeskar and Mr Maohamed Raffi !!
Open landscape, free as a bird, imagine just getting off train, camping out ,and feeling absolutely free,no big brother just you and nature

terence barrett beautiful vast country, but harsh and unforgiving. I live in the Sonoran desert and often have the idea that the open space that surrounds me is more attractive than the lightly populated area where I live. But without modern amenities, the bottom line harshness of uninhabited land would quickly overshadow my vision of wide open spaces and spectacular vistas that surround me. It's eternal natural beauty is best enjoyed from the comfort of modern society. A cowboy once said the desert is full of things that sting, bite and kill. But, Good lord it is stunningly beautiful.

Hey Fern, you have got AMAZING videography sense. Look at the shot from 02:18 through 02:35
That shot is more worthy than a hollywood movie scene.
The sad reality of all the artificial intelligence driven youtube recommendations is real GEMS like this one never comes up. I found it through random search.
Once again, thank you for such a lovely short video.
That looks like something everyone should do once in a lifetime that looks beautiful
wow, wow, i want to do this before i die. The view is just magnificent and the Coffee and deserts are looks so inviting.
Thanks! You should come! Today (04/05/2019) 1 american dollar is $45 argentine money. It is cheap for you, I think!
Go!
too late.
Beautifully videographed....steam... smoke... Whistle...made me nostalgic of olden steam engine days.... Beautiful picturesque...👍,🌷
It can't get more beautiful than this. Thanks!
That's it ! I'm packing my bags . I hope they got a sleeper car and cold beer.
Too late. the train no longer runs. the line is dormant.
@@jeffreymcfadden9403 good, it's a pollution.
It still sort of runs, but not the whole way. It runs from Ojos de Agua to Ing. Jacobacci, a trip of two hours. It no longer goes all the way from El Maitén and certainly not from Esquel, and the trip is really expensive for what it is. The poor state of the railway lines not just here but throughout the country has taken a toll on it.
We used to have regular trains that made well over 1,000 kilometers per trip and were affordable, but the national government takes money from the truck lobby and some provinces have lifted rail lines, even with trucks being demonstrably more expensive than the trains. Privatization of the railway line in the 90's failed massively, closing most lines and actually causing deaths, most lines were renationalized after the Once tragedy in 2011 but many of the old lines weren't reopened and some were cancelled.
The railway lines are slowly being rebuilt by some provincial governments and even groups of railway enthusiasts, but it's far gone from when the train was considered the future of Argentina.
@@sinhalaya4483 How is steam considered pollution exactly?

Beautiful landscape. Great journey

WOW great video.Thanks
Beautiful trip!
Wonderful video with wonderful showcase of landscapes, sunsets and many other things. It seems that track is NG, however speed of this steam engine train is more than 50/60km/hr. Nicely maintained coaches with comfortable restaurant car. Thanks.
@Vishwajit Pawar
track is 75cms, at some moments seems it rushes by whilest others might walk next to it.
Steamers (Baldwin and Henschel) and Famillereux coaches are from 1922, rebuilt at the shops line has at El Maiten.
You are welcome for a visit.
Cheers
